SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Homing Tech Included in the pistol.
  • The flechettes are magnetically fired, and can be recalled to the weapon, allowing for functionally infinite ammo and the ability to hit targets from the rear.
  • Recoil Compensator

Strengths: +
  • I didn't miss. The Ingram-40 has the ability to fire the round behind a person and then trigger a reversal in the magnetic field generator within the weapon. Bringing the round right back through a person, then through a plasma chamber and right back into the mag.
Weaknesses: -
  • The recoil compensator requires regular tuning. If it is not maintained the compensator will eventually fail, leading to higher recoil and more time required to re-acquire targets overall leading to a less effective but still lethal weapon.
DESCRIPTION

Celiana upon moving back to Coruscant needed a supply of informants and weapons. Through various sources coming back to a gun dealer Celiana learned of prototype weaponry being assembled by C-Tac, Coruscant Tactical. A group which provided weaponry to local police departments in the Lower city. They also supply weaponry and armor to the Senate and local politician bodyguards. After a discreet and illegal entry into C-Tac, Celiana walked off with the only case of these weapons produced, along with notes from the developers of potential ways to upgrade the weapons.

Essentially a handheld rail-gun. The Ingram-40 Flechette Pistol utilizes a magnetic field generator and directed magnetic fields along the barrel to accelerate the Flechette out at incredible velocities. This lends itself to the immense stopping power from such a small weapon. Celiana speaks with a designer of the weapon and he offered more intel about the weapon.

Hi there.

So this is a Factory Submission so I will be moving it to the Technology Creation Forum for you. In the Factory you can Tag myself, [member="Runi Verin"] or [member="John Locke"] to move your submissions out of the Pre-Factory.

Oops, sorry you had to move it I thought it was in the right place. Well now that it's in the factory this guy is ready to be judged and go live. [member="Laira Darkhold"] ~ [member="John Locke"] ~ @ Runi Verin

[member="Celiana"], Thanks for taking the time to use the factory. I will be working with you to review and approve this pistol and I hope it can be quick and painless. I just have a couple things I would like to mention.

Just a small thing here; please remember to link the Manufacturer

I might consider expanding on your weaknesses for this weapon. Since the return of the round is dependent on magnetism, might the pull cause any other magnetic resources to be pulled to the pulled, same as the round? Also with the magnetism, perhaps the round's return would not be discernible between friend and foe?

Inevitably its up to you whether or not you would like to include these weaknesses, but once you make any edits or clarifications in this please remember to tag me so we can see about stamping this with an "Approval" sticker.

[member="Alden Akaran"] as far as I'm aware C-tac isn't a thing yet. and I just looked on the Wookie to confirm. Perhaps someone can use that as a way to bring new resources in as like a company? The homing software is to bring the flechettes essentially smart rounds back into the mag of the weapon. I wanted to keep it simple there was a disturbing lack of sources to work with on this thing so I just worked on it with what I could. Hopefully this is acceptable?
