Infinite Mischief (Sochi)

Valx Raizod

Valx sat in the library, listening to a prerecorded holobook on Jedi history. He had been in there all night, for he could not sleep. He hadn't slept in a few days. The padawan wasn't tired though. He wasn't an insomniac. Normally he'd get to sleep relatively early, but lately he wasn't sleeping at all. He was anxious. He wanted to train, spar, fight--do something. He wondered where Akodya had been. He quickly dismissed that thought and stood up, walking out onto a mezzanine overlooking the foyer of the Temple. As he walked, he sensed a familiar face.

"@[member="Sochi Ru"]," Valx said excitedly, "how are you?"

Valx had not seen hide nor hair of her since the excursion on Obredaan. The Jedi Temple was like a miniature city, so that could've been a factor...

She turned her head slightly to trace the voice back to the source, her eyes widened. The voice sounded familiar, but she couldn't match it to a face in that moment. It would seem that the voice was coming from @[member="Valx Raizod"]. Her assumption was right then from the beginning. She turned her entire body to face him, "Im fine Padawan Raizod, how are you this day? Where's Akodya?" She asked softly, projecting her voice as much as she could. It would seem that she hadn't seen him since there mission to Obreedan, where he was partnered up with her good friend Akodya. She took a couple of steps closer to him, she had been so caught up in her constant training and studying that she hadn't much time to socialize with her fellows. Maybe she was too consumed, but she wasn't going to be able to balance them both at least not at this time, while she was peaking. She wondered if he was up for a little sparring match, she was heading that way anyhow. It would save her some time if she had already a prepared partner.

"Cut the formal crap, 'padawan Ru.'" Valx stifled a laugh, "And I'm not sure...I was wondering if you knew?"

Valx shrugged and then said, "Go ahead, ask. Yes, I'd like to spar with you. I can tell you want to spar, you've been thumbing your lightsaber hilt since I sensed you."

It had been a while since he'd had a formal duel with anyone but his master. He was itching to fight someone, and Sochi looked like a formidable partner. He could use a workout anyway. He patted her on the back and leaped off the mezzanine onto the balcony below them.

"Come on! Last one to the training hall is a pregnant womprat," Valx howled.

He crashed into an expensive-looking vase, bursting right through it as it shattered around him and nearby onlookers stood watching him. If any of the Knights or Masters caught him, Tallia would skin him alive. This was gonna be fun...

Her eyes widened, as she didn't know the "crap" her friend had spoken off. She brought her index finger up to her mouth, and had a look of ponder on her face. Though it would seem her fellow was just making a joke. It also turned out that he had no idea where her friend Akodya was, and neither did she. They haven't spent much time together after their trip to Tython together. Then she refocused when he seemed to poke at her once more, telling her she need go ahead and ask, seeing that she was tapping her lightsaber the entire time, in fact, she had no idea she was tapping her thumb against her lightsaber, in rhythmic motion one might just add. It drew up a smirk on her face, when it seemed as though he figured out what she was thinking before he answer her question concerning their mutual friend. "Alright, Raizod, it would seem you have figured me ou.." And right before she could finish he stormed off, initiating some kind of race. Her eyes got extremely wide, when he ran into a vase, that shattered. She shook her head, and placed it in her right palm. This was gonna be... Different from her usual routine. Yes, different was the word.

Valx turned around and jogged backwards, facing @[member="Sochi Ru"]. He was pretty fast for a blind guy, using the Force to see his surroundings rather than relying on non-existent sight. He moved between people and objects like a pro, hearing gasps and grumbles from onlookers.

"Come on, Sushi! Is that the best you can do? I've seen a dying bantha race faster than you! Pull your lightsaber out of the mud and lighten up!" Valx said, his voice filled with sarcasm and hilarity.

He turned back around just in time to avoid smashing into a pillar. He darted into a side room, which happened to be filled with a group of younglings, before dashing out the next door. Just as he left, he'd heard a youngling say, "I wanna be like that padawan when I grow up!" Valx hopped, leaped, and weaved through a crowd of other padawans which he'd never even seen before.

"You're lagging behind, Sushi!!! C'mon," Valx shouted behind him.

One could be completely surprised at all the things @[member="Valx Raizod"] could do. Though he was blind, he was quite capable of seeing. She preferred to remain calm, and only quickly walk trying to produce recovery along the path of mischief he left behind. Broken vases, and almost toppling over brothers, and sisters of the order. She helped pick up those vases, and made sure to check on her fellows before quickly pacing after Valx to continue to do the same thing. Sochi wasn't one for things of this nature; a race? It would go against the rules they were supposed to be following; atleast that's what she thought. All she knew it was Jedi like to race through the temple like this, she had a worried look on her face when he called out, telling her to try harder. She just simply wasn't, her quicked paced was as fast as she was going to come o participating within this "race". Then his path changed, he darted into some room, which was filled with younglings. Then he came dashing through the next door, when she got to the first door, she was greeted by the confused looks of many soon to be padawans. She sighed within their presence, and apologized, quickly following after Valx. She shook her head when she heard one of them claim to want to be like him one day. She apologized to the group of padawans, that she too had never seen before. She sighed, and continued to use her worried expression, hoping they wouldn't get in trouble, when he called out to her once again. Atleast now they were close to the Combat Training Center. Now just a couple of minutes, and they would be fine.

"Come on, Sushi! Let's hustle! I know you're faster than that! Why do you always have to be so refined?!" Valx laughed as he shouted.

Valx bumped into a bust of a peculiar Jedi named "Plo Koon," while sprinting through the corridors. It wobbled and fell right into Valx's arms. He juggled it, trying to catch it, but to no avail. The bust fell to the floor and exploded into a thousand tiny pieces.

"Sushi! Why'd you break that bust?!" Valx called back with a smile.

He kept running, still looking back, and ran straight in to the railing of the staircase leading up to the training hall. Valx was caught off guard and the rail slammed straight into his groin. He fell to his knees with a bewildered look on his face. As he writhed in pain and shame, bystanders watched and laughed in amusement. Valx didn't find the situation comical in the slightest. He sat and waited till @[member="Sochi Ru"] caught up with him.

It would seem her fellow had came up with a nickname for her. Sushi huh? Well she couldn't tell him not to call her that. Besides she assumed it was all out of the thing that people call humor, her eyes grew even wider when he knocked over, and shattered the busy that was created in homage to the great master Plo Koon. Her mouth came open as she couldn't believe this, she shook her head, and looked around. Everyone now staring at her because they knew she was associated with the culprit. Her eyes went around the room at every Jedi when he claimed that she broke it. She motioned with her head, claiming no. She slowly started to go after Valx once more, from where she was, she could see the the railing indicating a staircase, "Padawan Raizod!" She called out, but was definitely too late. She saw him run right into it, and she approached cautiously when he fell to his knees. Her face cringed up, "Padawan Raizod! Are you okay?" She asked after sending everyone else on their way.
