ADM. Reshmar
Directorate Officer Fleet Admiral SJC 3rd Fleet
"We are here Admiral" said the human man sitting at the controls of the Waverunner shuttle. Reshmar opened his eyes to the darkness of his personnel cabin. He had been resting while the small vessel had made the short trip from Mon Cala to Minntooine. He turned up the lights with a touch on his chair controls and took a moment to collect himself for the meeting. His chief engineer had been working the last day and a half to finalize the construction on the six corvettes being built there. The new shipyard which had been financed by the Republic contract had only been online for three months and the first of the new MC line corvettes were sitting in the front row of slips. In the distance behind them three larger ships sat under construction. These ships were the next MC series vessel and were much larger than the six corvettes sitting in front of them. At four hundred meters each the hulls of the larger vessels were not as far along as the corvettes, that is except for the middle most ship. Reshmar had rushed the construction of it so that he could present it to the Republic to show their investment was not made poorly. The frigate in the central most rear slip was to be the first of their repayment vessels.
The shuttle slowed down as it neared the floating platform on the surface of the world. Laid out along a rocky coastline the floating shipyard spread out over seventeen kilometers. Most of the yard was still under construction but the front eight slips had been the first phase of the yard. They were fully operational and almost done building the corvettes and the one frigate now sitting in them.
Reshmar took a deep breath of the wet air as he walked down the ramp of the transport. IN the distance through the mist the massive ships sat quietly like sleeping sea monsters. The six smaller ships were all of the first of the MCC variants and were the carrier models. Other variants of the corvettes would have their keels laid next as the engineering teams finished their designs. The three frigates were very recognizable to Reshmar. He knew the ships they had been based on well as they made up the backbone of the Mon Calamari defense fleet. The MFG30 was based on the smaller corvettes the Galactic Alliance used nearly seven hundred years ago. The first of the class sat looming over the landing pad Reshmar now stood.
"Impressive."
