Independence Day (Royal House of Alderaan vs Mandalorian Clans of Alderaan)

Arieth zh'Vranthi

Galactic Alliance Ambassador
[member="Faith Organa"]
Enroute to Alderaan

Arieth's data console gave a small beep in alert. Turning from her position in front of the viewport, the Chandrilan took the few steps over to her desk. They would arrive near Alderaan space soon. Truth be told, Areith had been a bit anxious on just what the response would be.

Not due to any concern over Alderaan, but more so what it meant with the Mandalorian Clans. What would happen to them? There was so much to consider.

Upon reading the missive, Arieth took a deep breath. This was promising.

// Faith Organa, Princess of Alderaan

I am most humbled by your invitation, thank you kindly Princess Organa.

I am sending my diplomatic ships ident code shortly, and I look forward to meeting you.

Respectfully,

Arieth Zh'Vranthi, Ambassador of the Galactic Alliance //

Ana received the message from the Ambassador [member="Arieth zh'Vranthi"] and immediately sent the code to [member="Draco Vereen"] to pass to the forces protecting Alderaan. He would ensure that the Ambassador was not mishandled and made it safely to the palace.

It was a great pleasure to receive such emissaries from those that surrounded them. Faith remembered she wanted to send a message to [member="Thurion Heavenshield"] and the Order of the Silver Jedi to let them know of the change in circumstances. As well as the King of Midvinter, @kyrian hearthfelt .

She wondered too if she should send word to Kay, she might get a chuckle out of the change. They had last spoken on Alpha Mae hiding away from prying eyes to have a visit and even then Kay was like a cat on a hot tin roof she didn't feel comfortable, and had left after a short visit. Maybe [member="Lady Kay"] would consider a diplomatic visit, or perhaps Faith should go there. Perhaps.

Faith bided her time while preparations were made.

The raven haired woman didn't answer right away. Those arms crossed lightly before an elbow cocked up to rest her fingers and hand over her mouth as if to hold it shut as the wheels turned in that complicated head of hers. The eyes shifted one way then another as she calculated, analyzed and processed.

“I can put time to Alderaan, Your Highness. I do have to say that with my business in the Pii system and the Pii improvements that I and others have begun I will continue. I will not abandon them. “ The people that fled Denon had settled on Pii. They had started integrating with the population there and that integration was going well. They had just got the varying settlements to more or less stop attacking each other. Food and resources tend to do that if one didn't have to fight for basics.

“What position are you proposing, Your Highness. “ The Doctor came closer to the Princess. She already had in mind she would need to double the amount of assistants she had to keep things running as she designed. Her business nearly runs itself.

“I have my eye on a couple of systems where certain plants are that have some interesting attributes. It could be a wild nerf chase, but there is enough data there to support a mission. Would this position suffer scientific discovery missions like this?” There are some things one must see yourself. She knew what she was looking for. Good subordinates are also key. She had an eye for talent.

"I did not ask you to abandon anything, and for you to assume that I would do so is assuming quite a bit Doctor" Faith moved around the doctor could be icy that was for certain. Faith headed for a seat fashioned much like the throne.

She turned studying the Doctor for a moment who had stepped closer as if sizing Faith up. Already she wondered would she be able to continue to do other things. Tia had done a great deal of things while serving Alderaan.

Would the Doctor be able to do the same?

"My Tia is currently in a position that would be the equivalent of Minister of Medicine. This position requires that Alderaan be looked after, its people cared for, and facilities built to ensure the care of anyone who comes to Alderaan." The plans for the hospital were on Faith's desk now, all that was needed was a location. The Doctor could help with that, yes? Maybe. First things first.

"You would be required to keep a residence here, and be accountable to the Queen. Accountable in that if she calls for your presence you come whether it be in person or by holo she asks a question you give her honest answers. You would have to work with the other worlds within the Coalition. You could continue to travel, and keep your interests on Pii. You serve at the Queen's pleasure, meaning she can fire you when she wants."

Faith sat back, "Does this sound like something you would like to do?' Faith looked over at Draco she new he liked her Aunt but they both knew her Aunt had two children, a company, and a planet to look after.

The Doctor's pert and direct words seemed to have been misconstrued, be that as it may, Rashae resisted the urge to correct. This was the Princess and not some average person that didn't have a grasp of proper language. The raven haired scientist thought as much the Princess also assumed a great deal. Those icy blues maintained their demeanor as she spoke as the wheels processed what she was saying.

Minister of Medicine for Alderaan? Was she joking with her? This hit her harder than she expected as she straightened the stiff white formal jacket a bit more as the rapid processes within her mind occurred. The pieces came together like some cosmic puzzle of some kind. Either the galaxy had some kind of cruel comedy in mind or this was some kind of payback for all the crap she been through.

“I am no stranger to hard work, Your Highness.” The woman was very organized. “I would be honored to accept such a position. Provide for the people of Anderaan fully my abilities to see to their care and health for as long as I hold the position. “

The stiff woman did see the plans for a hospital as her curious eyes tilted to the side. “Is that the facility, your highness?” She asked as she moved closer to her desk. Rashae then moved to look at the city map. Something central perhaps the start of a medical center with the hospital at its center. “Perhaps here, your highness. It is half way between habitations housings, lodgings and the royal housings as well as a direct shot from the space port and the industrial area. “ Her long aristocratic finger went down the marked large thoroughfares between those two last mentioned locations.

That mind started calculating, analyzing, categorizing in rapid succession. “This would allow for other areas of medicine as well as the central hospital. Disease control, mental health, cybernetics, research facilities, etc. Clinics will need to be established as satellite facilities and often first responders to issues amongst the populace. What facilities do you have in place that monitor environmental concerns. Water filtration, waste management, clean air testing, safe work environment concerns? Or is that on the to do list as well as the facility?“

This was an interesting turn of events as the republic exile situation was waning. “Pii has a lot of work to do before I can even get this far. The republic exiles are likely going to settle on Pii which shifts my position there as well. “ The woman actually smiled for a moment. “It is a good thing. Anyone in the market for Greel wood? “

She spread her hands out with a raised eyebrow as it was a bit of an awkward funny but it was an olive branch of seeing a bit of the real Rashae before the icy veil replaced it. She had promised John she would help administer it or at least see to the health of the whatever population existed. Somewhere she will find time to be in the lab, somehow. Good thing she could do some of it on her Frigate.

Faith could see a hint of emotions in the eyes of the Doctor and knew that what she had said was received in the manner in which it was meant. "It will be hard with all the refugee work, with Alderaan still rebuilding, with our citizens spread across the galaxy, and then with your other obligations what you are receiving is more work than you will know what to do with."

Faith moved from the chair heading to her desk, "Yes these are the plans" Faith brought out the holo, "and this is what it's supposed to look like and it so far bears the name Alderaan Memorial Hospital dedicated to those who lost their lives during the Sith occupation." They could have built a memorial but Faith decided something useful other than just something to stare out would be most beneficial.

"My Tia has offered us ambulances, and a few life support transport ships, and supplies from MandalMedical. But we are raising the funds for other purchases from other companies"

Faith was proud of the design and everyone who was involved in making this happen. She looked over at Draco who had been donating and arranging for materials.

"What do you think?"

[member="Rashae"] | [member="Draco Vereen"]

Faith looked over the plans again walking to the window she looked out in the direction that the new hospital would stand and not far from it the University of Alderaan. The Hospital would be a teaching hospital working with the University to provide an education and medical services to anyone who needed them.

It would be associated with the hospital on Alpha Mae which her Aunt Rianna still oversaw. The University would work closely with other Universities such as the one established on New Habat. Faith head already spoken with them to work out a schedule for lecturers, scholarships for students in need, free tuition for children of the fallen. Both the University and the Hospital would be supported by House Organa and the other Noble houses of Alderaan.

The Planet Delaya had already offered a sizeable contribution with the agreement that any of the children of the workers on Delaya could receive a free education at the University. Then there was the foreign exchange. It would be a benefit to everyone Faith as much as she enjoyed the new position as Head of the Coalition the establishment of the hospital and the University she was exceptionally proud of.

Her own children would attend school on Alderaan before transferring to other schools and learning the culture of the galaxy. They would need to be well rounded, tactful, and understand the galaxy. She prayed that these places would contribute to that.

It had been a while that he'd waited on hearing back from the transmission he'd sent home that he soon found himself on the bridge of his personal modest ship. Having just concluded a meeting and tour of one the many ports thus far he'd been given access to. In line with the appointment, he'd been given by the Royal house as ambassador that he then instructs the ship captain head back home.

Rashae looked at the plans for the new hospital as Faith went over whats been planned and provisions to this new Hospital. The architecture was elegant, airy and from what she could tell had potential of being very functional.

“I may borrow your architect, Your Highness.” She said in an appreciative tone.

“I have Medical corvettes and specially designed medical speeders that can be added to add far reaching functionality. They are produced by Ashhearth Industries. They are sturdy and solid build. “ The medical corvettes and speeders both have had plenty of field trials as her teams have tested them thoroughly.

Rashae remembered the occupation well. Her family fawned all over the boots of the sith to keep their position. They fawned all over the boots of the mandalorians as well. They were shallow people but served a purpose in the technology fields. The Doctor smiled as she nodded to the Royal in regards to the name. They would sell their soul to even be in consult with one of the royals as she was now.

“A fitting name.” She said simply, in somber tones.

“Perhaps I can have room for a Gentech research facility to provide additional research opportunities and possibly bring in more of the science community at large to hold a symposium. Perhaps after the hospital is built as a sort of christening of the new Hospital.” Alderaan was after all her home. Her horrid family aside, this was her roots. She looked at Faith with a warmer look in her eyes as the two women collaborated on the medical and science future of Alderaan.

Ana passed a message the Ambassador to the Republic was returning, Faith nodded "make sure he comes and sees me" Then she turned her attention back to Rashae. "I'm sure the architect would love the business, as yes there will be a couple of companies with research facilities as well as starting scholarships for students, and bringing in speakers. It has great potential to affect many young minds."

Faith felt like they were accomplishing something with the hospital and the university. "Perhaps you can speak on a subject at the University, or at one of the other Universities once we are accredited and full operational. What do you think of that?" Faith smiled. It was good to have someone to talk to about these projects who understood how important it was.

It was good to do something more to help her home and her people. This..was the first steps.

Andulf had retired to the privacy of his quarters pour thru datapads and such gather from his tour of the Republic as part his appointment as Ambassador envoy for Alderaan. When he heard a knock at the door soon followed by the familiar voice of Ja'rrod informing him of their eta for their return to Alderaan. To which he thanked him and made sure tell him to call ahead to have them ready his shuttle which he agreed to. Before leaving him be to pour over and gather some the datapad into one bag.

It was then soon after he then heads change into some clean clothes to then depart with Ja'rrod in tow soon they landed. Where he was then met by an envoy of the Queen who handed him a summons by her highness. Which he obliged to and with his speeder wait upon his arrival then heads off toward the palace. Where he was soon led to a side room to meet with her highness.

"Oh absolutely, your Highness. " She said to the question about a lecture at the university.

Rashae was getting as excited as Faith was about this as both of their heads were around the plans. "A science symposium has been in the back of my mind for a while. I can talk to Claude and Paul see if we can set aside funds for a scholarship program now with Gentech. "

Rashae was the brains of the research and developement of Gentech. She owned it but she listened to brighter minds when it came to business, marketing and corporate finance. "It would be good for the company as well. "

Rashae looked at Faith as the Doctor was surprised at how similar minds the two had in this regard. It felt good for a change to feel something kindred, something that was far reaching with a purpose. In that instance there was perhaps a new feeling in the young doctor/scientist. That was hope.

"Yes, a conference for scientists from across the galaxy to discuss and share ideas. That would be marvelous. Alderaan has always been known for arts, and peace. Conferences which promote good will, cooperation, yes these are what we should be known for" Excellent she thought.

"the hospital, and the university will help to extend these goals of galactic cooperation, and thoughts of peace." She hoped but she knew in the back of her mind peace seemed to only last for so long and then it was blotted out by the darkness of war.

"So tell me what kind of equipment we need for the hospital in addition to what is here. Remembering that we must be able to reach out to refugees and get them either to the center here on Alderaan or to the one on Alpha Mae. We." Faith stood straight looking down she knew what she what wanted, what she envisioned but was it possible. "I want Alderaan to once again be the beacon of hope. We need to be reaching out more to others." She smiled.

"Do you agree?" Faith realized she had not given Rashae time to answer her first question. Faith's mind sometimes worked faster than her questions.

It was then while standing in the side waiting room while waiting for her highness Faith to conclude her meeting. That Andulf began to pour thru all the information on his personal datapad. Of all the connection and introduction he had gathered from his brief time away as ambassador. Which was at best modest but he figured was decent enough start in the short period of time he could afford. Given everything that transpired both with the republic and the home front.....

He had work fast and get the ball rolling with the contacts in place.....all he needed now was the approval of the royal house before he could move to the next phase. Which was with what both his sister and mother had been able to keep going with his father holding he had about a good number of working docks. From which if things go as plan he could restart his father corporation to import or trade from....

Faith was positively getting giddy with excitement it seemed. It was getting contagious and threatening to break the formal stiff erect posture. Even with the polite smile she was trying to maintain a formal decorum. This was the personage of the royal house of Alderaan. Not another ambassador or similar diplomat. She fired off questions in rapid successions.

The young doctor took all of those questions in with equal measure. “Your highness, to answer your first question. I will make you a list but among these are medical beds, surgical suites, good computers, medical droids. I have a medical frigate but if Alderaan has others I can add the Padme to their number. The Medical corvettes act as moving clinics that can serve the entire planet and system. In the medical corvettes are medical speeders which can go into rural areas and I can tell you that they have been heavily field tested by my team with proven effectiveness. What the hospital needs is good diagnostic equipment such as the medbeds, analyzers, spectrum chemical, and other needs. I can offer Gentech supplies as well. “

She put her own delicate hand on the Princesse’s shoulder lightly. “to answer your second question, Yes, Your highness. Knowledge is key to growth and hope. “

If faith only knew the amount of lists that scrolled through the complicated mind of that raven haired scientist, she might be a bit surprised. Be that as it may, both of the calculating ladies would find solace that each had now similar goals and in part, similar minds.

Faith noticed that the Ambassador to the Republic [member="Andulf Nicholas Teraan"] stood off to the side, "Andulf, come and tell me what is going on."

Faith turned to [member="Rashae"] , "Yes, and we must use equipment from Alderaan Engineering, talk to [member="Draco Vereen"] about that ,and items from MandalMedical. This way it presents the image of cooperation between companies of Alderaan, and Mandalore still. As well as brings in the Royal Family to show the people House Organa still works for their protection and health." Faith had to be sure that the family and her administration were received with positive vibes.

"This is all very positive to move forward. I'm sure noble houses, such as House Teraan will contribute what they can to build." Faith looked back she knew Andulf's house would help, but they also needed help to become more prosperous.

She sighed, "I think the hospital needs a to set up a section that researched the effects of Vong Tech on others." She remembered the terrible transformations...the screams...yes that is what she believed they needed to become.

It was then once he'd gather and prepared all that he'd had in hand to present to her highness. That with a nod he was then allowed an audience with her highness into the next chambers. Where he note that the good doctor had been there as well seem in talk with her highness to which not wish to intrude. As was what he'd been taught and school by his mother along with the myriad of tutors his father had both him along with his sister have. He waited till eventually, her attention seem to turn him as her Highness spoke.

"Andulf, come and tell me what is going on."

To which he oblige and replied back turn first to address each one.

"Your highness......Doctor....as far how much I've gathered and travel thus far into the Republic held space. My travels seem been uneventful and at best positive with a few that I've met thus far. Since before your broadcast transmission. Seem willing and open enter into either negotiation for trade, commerce or treaty with us. And thus far approached me with letters of request or papers of request to present your highness. Offers which thus far seem open and unaffected by the broadcast transmission which prompted me to return to present them to your highness."

At which time with the documents on hand placed them before here and as the conversation push on and his house name been mentioned replied.

"That we are as always...House Terran stands with your highness and will offer whatever support or contributions needed. Though with my mother failing health and my sister abdication of her post to care for her. It would most seem to appear to be left for me to take over our house holdings which however modest have to remain strong and intact despite the past turmoil ."

“well we won’t be short on resources. “ The Minister stated with a bit of sardonic humor.

“The way these curves are going to take Alderaan engineering to fit the equipment. There.. aha here. The underground facilities seem to contain some of the network infrastructure. Interesting. “ Rashae’s quick eye pulled details out of the plans as she cataloged certain features.

“Oh absolutely, Your highness, I would suggest perhaps publically be seen at the construction site and definitely at the grand opening. With a good public relations person the cooperation of all these companies will instill faith in the people. I will start making inroads to move some of Gentech operations to work with the other Research institutions. It will take a few months to get everyone to a singular standard of sorts. “ In answer to the royal house being front and ready to be the instrument of the Good will this project would provide the people.

Rashae politely inclined her head to Count of House Teraan as he appeared. “My Lord, Pleasure to meet you.” With a polite smile.

The newly minted Minister surely was not going to put House Lovous in any of these undertakings. Her family would take the prestige and run with it. They didn’t deserve that. The young woman even had a title but she rarely used it at all.

Her head went up at the Princess’s mention of vong. “They didn’t cover to much of that in the Academy. Anyone who has data of the vong, vong genome, vong plantae biology, its sparse. I would look very much forward for a chance to research that. Very much. “ There was a certain fervency to her words. Faith had hit a significant point, some may view it as a weakness, of knowledge. Rashae’s penchant for seeking knowledge, for seeking the bottom line of something was very strong.

“I look forward to working with the Ambassardor and any of the houses though I must caution. My house is not very well thought of, Your Highness. “ She winced and had a rather disparaging expression in regards to her greedy cut throat family. The lady cleared her throat and continued with a more pleasant line of thought.

“ If we can get this Science Symposium to work, it could set a precedence for Alderaan. Bringing in fresh ideas and cultures. I recall reading in the histories as a child that Alderaan used to be a center of culture, science and peace. Perhaps this is a step to being that again.” Eloquent words from an eloquent lady as she moved to the side so Andulf could see the hospital plans.

“My lord Count. If your Mother needs any care I or my team can provide, just ask. The Padme is a fully functioning Hospital and can function as such if temporary medical facilities are not enough. “ it was said in a neutral fashion. Rashae’s sense of honor, especially in medicine, would do no less than offer her abilities in this situation.

Faith listened and looked at plans, multitasking as she moved. "Andulf by all means keep up your relations with the Republic, and didn't you tell me you had a deal with the Mandalorians going. You should keep moving ahead on that as well. Have you heard from either party?" Either meaning the Republic or the Mandalorians.

Faith looked then to Rashae, "yes and this is the first steps again to rebuild to invite...to become known for culture and peaceful means. As for the Vong we have samples they were taken a while ago of course but we have them. I'm sure we can make some of them available to you. I wonder if anyone else has tried to research it. While the vong are not a threat right now, they could be again I don't want to be caught off guard and I don't want to see any of our people suffer through it again."

She remembered some of them the blank stares, the screaming pain and then nothing more.

"Maybe the Science Synposium could be the place to meet others who want to build a medical bank...you know...like a facility that carried the cures for all known diseases, and an top of the line research facility...for disease control. Maybe ...a galactic storage facility...does that make sense?" She knew what she was thinking but wasn't sure that the words she said made any sense.

Faith looked again to Andulf, "any concerns Count Teraan?"

It was then with slight incline her head and a faint smile came the good doctor reply.

“My Lord, Pleasure to meet you.”

To which he, in turn gave a respectful nod as he slowly came speak.

"Dr. Rashae.....pleasure meet you again as well."

At which time shifting to carefully place the datapad just across the plan that lay on the table before them as he takes passing glance at it.

"Andulf, by all means keep up your relations with the Republic and didn't you tell me you had a deal with the Mandalorians going. You should keep moving ahead on that as well. Have you heard from either party?

As he silently listens in on their conversation and tries his best take in as much was said as in the back his mind he replied back.

"That I had your highness work my earnest to keep and foster as much that bit relation I've gained thus far of the two parties. At which case the deal with the Mandalorians are shall we say ongoing given their clan mentality & system. It shall take me a bit more time to progress thru having so far gained an audience or trust of some the more notable clan and work on work my way. And as for the Republic thus far it all seem be doing well.....been able to secure solid leads though. From what I've seen thus far to which the Dr.Rashae could attest their much work be need done....."

Andulf did his best to assess the situation and adjust the plan he had thus far made on his part as ambassador to the Republic. At which time with the mention of the Vong no less peak his interest as although his knowledge of them was at best second hand from his father or from what few academic view he'd gain during his time away. He knew all too well the danger as well the threat they posed not only to them but to the universe at large. At which time soon after his remark about his family came Dr. Rashae words.

“My lord Count. If your Mother needs any care I or my team can provide, just ask.The Padme is a fully functioning Hospital and can function as such if temporary medical facilities are not enough. “

To which he in turn replied.

"That would be most appreciated .....as seems the conflicts & current state of things had taken its toll on Dowager. Thought she care not admit it...."

But then in midst of it all came her highness turn him to speak.

"any concerns Count Teraan?

At which time he replied back.

"....as thus far I can only think of one. Of which is the fragile state of the Republic thought they keep a seem united front one can't help note the slight underlying silent tension."
