Description: Like the Telum before it, the Incus served its role well in the early days of the Protectorate. Unfortunately, it was plagued with numerous crash reports stemming from overcrowding over the hanger bays. Wanting to keep the overall mission profile of the Incus intact, namely that of an escort carrier, the Incus was taken down to the superstructure and rebuilt from the ground up. Superfluous design elements, such as the ring and wings, were removed. The ship was flattened and slightly elongated to fully accommodate the sweeping changes. Though the end result carried two squadrons fewer, its combat performance was overall increased, thanks to the optimized hanger layout and repositioned defensive batteries.
