In umbris potestas est

The Jedi would escape, as they usually did. The prize was won, whether the two liked it or not - and though she was unaware of the specifics that occurred it was clear that the woman had done something in order to foil her plans. She had smiled, however, for she knew what they did not - having had deduced it and even hinted to it prior in their conversation, though the other two seemed oblivious to the naked truth that was flaunted just beyond arms reach in front of them. She was not alone, she was never alone. She had arrived with another Sith trekking just behind her. Had they prepared for a highly secure Sith world, a planet known famously for its fortitude, then perhaps they would have also be aware that few, if any, wandered through the streets of Prakith unseen or unheard. It was not by sheer luck that the Sith Lady had been followed by a Sith Lord - the very Voice that had given her advice following the temporary demise of the Dark Lord in his esteemed throne room - into the bowels of an ancient and well-known fortress. His whispers confirmed her suspicions and her smile had been quickly justified. "Flee while you can, unless you two would rather die here like dogs." She said, stepping back somewhat into the shadows of the stairwell, obscuring her face. "How nice of you to join me." Silara whispered, her lips hidden by the darkness, without turning to acknowledge [member="Darth Carach"]. If he was beside her, and the two were without the holocron, then it meant she had succeeded in some part, with the timely aid of the hidden man. She would make sure to thank him properly later. Examining the two Jedi with mild concern, she wondered if attempting to combat them further would be wise, or if she should withdraw and allow them to escape with their lives and without their prize. A smirk fluttered across her lips where her thin smile had been before. She'd let them leave, as she had said.

She had plans for them both.

Corvus allowed Connor to lead - no drag her out of the tomb. The holocron was left behind - if not entirely intact - and was still in the hands of the Sith. Her head was close to exploding now and so she offered no resistance when the Silver Jedi took her by the arm and guided her to the exit. There were no clever words as she exited, no final repartee or even the will to fight.

Behind the durasteel wall in her mind, her emotions were kept in check. Even if they hadn't, there were none fighting to escape, except perhaps...disappointment. This was not how she wanted it to end, but then...you don't always get what you want.

I saw her today at the reception
In her glass was a bleeding man
She was practiced at the art of deception
Well I could tell by her blood-stained hands
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
You can't always get what you want
But if you try sometimes you just might find
You just might find
You get what you need
