In Transit (Akodya)

The Galactic Republic had many ways of transportation for it's military elite, most that involved hyperspace used extremely fast vessels with insane sublight speeds. That was not the case today. The Advanced Recon Commando known as Dish was aboard a standard, run of the mill transport vessel, along with a few hundred non-clone soldiers, and four other clones, the commandos which made up Lambada Squad.

He was bored out of his mind to say the least. Commandos stuck to themselves, rarely socializing outside their teams, and non-clones weren't all that welcoming to their genetically identical brethren in some cases. This was one such case, and it wasn't the last. So he sat on top of a crate, rotary cannon at his feet and helmet in his lap, silently waiting.

Akodya didn't really know what to expect when she had boarded the Republic Military Transportation vessel. It was her first time travelling on a ship that wasn't Jedi occupied. The place was busier than she originally thought, with men and women moving up and down the corridors to their assigned destinations in a natural flow, as if each step they took was another cog whirling in a machine. The padawan couldn't help but feel out of place, and she tried her best not to show it. She attempted to walk with an aura of calmness and control about her, her chin slightly raised and her back as straight as a ruler with her long hair trailing behind her like a veil.

A stern voice was bellowing things over the loud speaker, making it hard for Akodya to concentrate on where she needed to be heading. Discreetly peaking into each open door as she past, she saw nothing but the same uniforms hanging on bodies with the same expression on their faces...that was until something caught her eye. Stopping in her tracks outside one particular hatch. She could have sworn she saw the face of a good friend of his. Looking again, her tawny gaze locked on a figure sitting on a crate. It was certainly her friend's face, but not her friend. A much younger looking Cody Jorin was perched on the box with a dull expression on his youthful face, his helmet resting on his lap. He looked around her age, at least a years different tops. Ignoring the excited catcalls of a near by trooper, The brunette jedi walked in.

The catcalls of another trooper, a non-clone of course, made Dish roll his eyes. Even as the misfit Arc, the most immature, and least leader-like of all of the group, Dish still maintained more dignity then these men. How they'd lasted this long was a mystery to him, or perhaps he was being too up tight, which was what some other members of Havoc had noted about him. Sliding in the clip of his S6-A into it's chamber, he looked up as it made a click sound, locking into place. He'd heard footsteps nearing, and the catcall earlier suggested someone had entered the room, probably an attractive female, and having been stuck on this ship for a little under a week, he knew none of the crew which ventured to the hanger bay met that criteria. That left the identity of the woman approaching with two possible solutions, she was either some sort of politician, or she was a Jedi. Either way the excited non-clone didn't have a chance in hell.

Meeting eyes with @[member="Akodya Mune"], the biologically 18 clone of Cody Jorin, slid his pistol into its holster, and quickly placed his helmet on the crate as he shot up and into attention. "Good afternoon Commander." He greeted, addressing her respectfully. His body was completely rigid his eyes failed to blink, and he himself was unflinching to anything. He had the discipline of someone who'd served for over a decade, someone likely in their forties, but in actuality, he was the same age as the toddler children of some of the non-clone soldiers. Dish was only two.

Akodya was a little taken back by the soldier she decided must be a clone stood up and addressed her with such respect. As soon as his eyes locked on hers he stood to attention, his body completely stiff. She often forgot that in the military were even more disciplined than the Jedi order when it came to formalities. Of course judging by the welcome she had gotten as she had entered, not all troopers carried on what they learnt in the academy. A tiny smile tugging at the usually straight line of her lips as Akodya dipped her head in acknowledgment. The young man held himself differently from his template, his eyes still held a youthful spark under the tough, strict military exterior.

"It's okay, you can ease up trooper." She said, tilting her head to the side a little as she studied his face, her tawny eyes flickering over his features. A few whispered could be heard from the other men and woman in the area, all wondering why a Jedi was there. A small group in the corner some smirked as one of them made a crude joke. Akodya of course continued to ignore it.

"What's your name?" She asked, her smile growing wider. Although she had never spoken to the clone before, it was nice to have a familiar face around when the padawan was nervous.

As his stance eased and the tension faded, his eyes narrowed at the troops making the joke. At first they continued to joke defiantly, but suddenly stopped when four more sets of eyes gave them glares of disapproval. These other four were Lambada Squad, who sat a few feet away with their helmets off as well. Their leader looked to Dish and gave him a respectful nod, one he returned.

"My name is Dish ma'am." He answered as he turned back to @[member="Akodya Mune"] after the immature troopers were silenced. He wanted to reassure her, not all non-clones were like that, their were far more honorable ones than not, his template for example, but unbeknownst to him, she already knew that.
