In the Search of Good Reading Material (Garoth and Krag)

The secret vaults of Palpatine, they had all been moved by the New Republic before the Darknesss so that they could be kept in a secure location. Unfortunately, for the Republic at least, two of the shuttles went missing somewhere near the deep core and have never been seen again since. Now, however, transmissions had been intercepted by Krag's people, who he specifically tasked with listening in on deep core communications. In all honesty, it was complete luck that they heard the Botor Enclave discussing what they called "a crash full of ancient items" and containers with symbols of the New Republic and Galactic Empire on them.

Ancient items indeed. Krag had no doubt that the items stumbled upon by the Botori were part of one of the shuttle crashes. If Krag's hunch was correct, the secrets that were held inside would be invaluable. He planned on going alone, but the Empire soon got wind of what Krag had discovered and ordered him to take another with him. Reluctantly, Krag chose another Sith Knight to accompany him to the site of the crash. They would have to be very careful for Botor was nearly in Republic space and they didn't need to be drawing unneeded attention. That is why they were flying in a standard freighter with no bells or whistles, it just looked like another poor merchant ship heading into the system.

Krag sat at the helm, his arms cross as the ship darted through hyperspace....

Garoth sat beside the Graug Sith and was wondering what this mission was all about. There he was, sleeping soundly in his warm, soft bed. When suddenly this gigantic lizard barged into his room demanding him to wake up and get his stuff. And now he was here. Sitting. Next to a gigantic fire-wielding Lizard. Oh well, at least his life was interesting and not remotely boring. Few people could say that these days.

He just hoped Lord Krag would not decide to eat him when he gets hungry. They have fought together twice now. Once during the coup d'etat and then during a collaboration between the Sith Empire and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. He was an excellent fighter. Sadly Garoth could not say much more about his companion. Seeing as the only times they had actually talked was during those two fights. As you can imagine, that is not really a solid base for a thriving friendship.

"So, Lord Krag. Tell me. What is the goal of this vital mission?"

Krag glanced over to the knight beside him, giving a short snort before looking back out into hyperspace. Perhaps he had forgotten to tell the man what they were doing, but Krag had to give him credit for waiting so long to ask. The Graug looked kindly on bravery, one did not need to know why he was going to kill or die for one who was his superior...only that he his superior wished him to do so.

"I have reason to believe the lessers on the planet of Botor have found something that belongs to the Sith"

Garoth wanted to ask more, but decided against it. The Graug would tell him more if he felt like it. And Garoth doubted he would. At this point the only thing he had to know they were doing something important. The Graug Sith would not have asked help otherwise, that is for sure.

Settling down for a long trip, he relaxed his muscles and submersed himself in the Force. The best way to clear away his mind from his need to sleep. Before he went totally under he answered Lord Krag.

"Understood, let us hope it is something valuable then."

And then he was gone, meditating his weariness away. He would still be aware of everything that transpired in the shuttle. But it would come to him only as a vaguely shaped dream.
