Question in Regards to Major Faction Applications and Dominions

The last day and a half, I and a number of others have been working on getting the Major faction app for Kesh up and submitted out finally. Under the new flashpoint rules it allowed for us to get it going and kick her off, though before we could get it up a dominion was posted on the planet we wanted. Due to our slowness I believe we have lost the ability to claim the planet and moved on to pick three others, including Eadu.

Now, our application was posted last night before any dom was posted on the new set of worlds but less than an hour before this post a dominion on one of the planets we claimed was put up. My question is simple, do we need to adjust our application and pick a new planet, or does our application take priority for the planet since it was posted first.

I thought the map game was first-come, first-served.

If you want to dispute Kesh's dominion, then pick a different world within 5 hexes (during the Flashpoint) to start as a Major and invade Kesh, or stay minor and use the Flashpoint's rebellion rules on Kesh instead.

My question is not in regards to kesh, it is in regards to eadu, which had a dom drop after our major faction application.

First come, first serve. The rules are the same.

They started a dom, so either rebel it or start your major elsewhere and invade it.

I feel like if the dom isn't finished, it's not their planet. Just like if 2 factions were to dom the planet at the same time, until 1 finishes the dom and it's declared theirs, it's up for grabs.

At least, that's how it should be.

Right, but you need to be a major faction to grab it first - potentially leading to a rebellion, or rebel it.

We have mechanisms in place for this.
