Viviane
Sith Apprentice
It had taken months. Her Sith masters had spent a small fortune and hundreds of hours of manpower trying to locate the object. But figuring out exactly where the Yammosk was located was a task that was anything but complete. All of the work that had been done could only confirm that it was somewhere in a specific region on a particular moon.
Her navicomputer had been programmed to the destination without her even knowing exactly which moon she was being sent to.
So, now here she was. In a single seater ship angling towards a planet's moon to seek out the Yammosk. A vile, anti-Force, apocrypha that needed to be destroyed. A biotechnology that existed outside of the Force? An apostasy. Illegal. Profane. These words had been hammered into her skull in preparation for this mission.
But more importantly than this object's blatant insult to the Force was also the risk that it had been planted here as an early outpost for potential Yuuzhan Vong expansion. Making its destruction a necessity.
Viviane would need to be alert. Her ship had been equipped with gravitational modifiers to, hopefully, mask her descent. She was forced to land a bit outside of the zone where the Yammosk was believed to have burrowed specifically to keep her presence a secret for as long as possible.
After her ship touched down on the surface the real work began. She was chosen due to her Force sensitivity but unlike most things she wasn’t searching for something, she was searching for something absent to the Force. A blind spot, a deadzone, a place that existed as if the Force itself had fallen asleep. And she knew that as she neared the Yammosk would know of her presence long before she knew its precise location.
Stalking the snowy and rocky surface of the icy moon her black overcoat rippled in the howling wind. She checked down at her lightsaber and blaster, ensuring they were ready to be drawn at a moment’s notice. Her heart slowed, her eyes fluttered shut, she concentrated harder and harder on picking out a location where she felt nothing. But, instead, she found her senses overwhelmed by the hints of life on this frigid world.
”This is impossible.” Her pace halted, her breathing slowed even more, she must’ve stood in one spot for close to fifteen minutes. Trying, and failing, to find this thing that was deadened to all of the ways she had learned to use her abilities. ”Impossible,” she groaned again before regaining her focus.
No, she had to do this. There was no returning without killing the damned biot.
And then, there it was, a twitch of her eyebrow and a faint whisper of nothingness. She didn’t have a location but she did have a direction. South. Her boots clamped down upon the snow and carried her further.
