ADVANCED SYSTEMS
STRENGTHS
  • Brawler: Compared to its baseline variant, the Impressor-class Acclamator is specifically designed to engage in ship to ship combat.
  • Heavily armed: The Impressor-class Acclamator is heavily armed, boasting an impressive array of turbolasers, ion cannons and missile launchers.
  • Heavily armored: For a capital ship of its size, the Impressor-class Acclamator is heavily armored.
  • Streamlined: Despite its role as a ship of the line, the Impressor-class Acclamator is actually smaller than its predecessor, making it both faster and harder to hit.
  • Atmospheric: Like its predecessor, the Impressor-class Acclamator is capable of operating in a planet's atmosphere and landing on a planet's surface.
WEAKNESSES
  • Pocket Star Destroyer: While it is far more adept at engaging enemy ships than its baseline model is, the Impressor-class Acclamator is still seriously outgunned by most Star Destroyer sized capital ships.
  • Not a transport: The Impressor-class Acclamator sacrifices most of its cargo and troop carrying capability for increased weaponry and armor.
  • Small hangars: The Impressor-class Acclamator holds a paltry 24 starsfighters in its hangar bay, forcing it to rely on dedicated carriers for starfighter support.
  • Specialized: Being optimized for ship to ship combat causes the Impressor-class Acclamator to lose much of its predecessor's versatility.
  • Modified: The creation of an Impressor-class Acclamator requires extensive modifications to the baseline model.
DESCRIPTION

The Battle of Brosi revealed key flaws in Mahporeem Naval Doctrine, specifically in regards to the Imperial Remnant's overreliance on fleet carriers. Unfortunately, even with Mahporeem's membership into the Imperial Confederation, capital ship acquisition remained a key challenge for the Imperial Remnant. As such, a stopgap solution was put together in the form of Impressor-class Acclamators.

Heavily modified from its baseline model, the Impressor-class Accalamator has been extensively redesigned for engaging in ship to ship combat. Any extraneous material has been removed, giving the ship a much more streamlined look, and numerous turbolasers, ion cannons and missile batteries have all been installed within the Accalamator's spacious hull. The resulting "pocket Star Destroyer" is far more capable of engaging enemy capital ships than its predecessor ever was, turning the Impressor-class in a serious fighting platform.

Unfortunately, this has come at a serious cost, as the Impressor-class has lost most, if not all, of its troop and cargo carrying capabilities. Worse still is the ship's tiny hangar, only capable of holding 24 starfighters at a time. This forces the Impressor-class to rely on dedicated fleet carriers for starfighter support.

That being said, the Impressor-class Acclamator remains a serious threat toward most ships, even larger ones. The Impressor-class can hold its own against most comparable ships of the line, and even against larger vessels it can still cause serious damage, especially when in large groups. Impressor-class Acclamators are often paired up with Vilifier-class Star Destroyers, allowing the ships to combat most threats rather effectively.
