Rationale: Created shortly after Atrisia closed it borders by combining a shuttle company and air car company into a single nationally owned company under Imperial Decree Q-AS-103.3002.12.

Description: Imperial Shipworks is the main shipbuilding company for the Atrisian Empire. Originally created by Moff Lee by Imperial Decree Q-AS-103.3002.12, part of his overall quarantine strategy. Originally it consisted of the combination of the two companies Jin Ji Shuttles and Jang and Cho Air that had been retooled to produce parts for spaceships. Lacking a true shipyard, as well as the capacity to build one, Imperial Shipworks was forced to use Naval Dock KP-302XV45B (the Imperial dock designed to service the Atrisian Sector Defense Force) instead. As exporting was no longer possible, the reduced shuttle and air car/speeder productions of the original companies was still adequate to handle the limited military and civilian needs.
With the relatively recent lifting of the quarantine Imperial Shipworks began expanding its existing factories with the intention of selling surplus production to nearby planets. With the additional funding from the government made possible by Hana Exports the first true naval shipyard, the Jade Cradle, was constructed above Atrisia’s moon. This new Navy run yard has allowed Atrisia to start developing its own fleet of ships, based off the designs of Cara Sampson recruited to the Atrisian Empire for just this purpose.
Ashin has approved the company to produce ships up to 2km.
Subsidiaries:
Jin Ji Shuttles – Named after the founder’s mother, Jin Ji Shuttles was the foremost producer of Atrisian made shuttles for thousands of years until Moff Lee seized control of the company as part of his quarantine needing the shuttle manufacturing lines to build parts for his warships. Jin Ji does continue to manufacture shuttles both for civilian and military use.
Jang and Cho Air– Started by Jang Ji-hyun and Cho Suk-kyu, Jang and Cho Air is a relatively young company, created shortly after the Atrisian Empire became the Atrisian Parliament. Jang and Cho Air was the preeminent air car and speeder company on Atrisia, and like Jin Ji Shuttles was nationalized by Moff Lee to support his quarantine fleet. After many expansions it is now able to support both its original function as well as manufacturing parts for ships.
Sampson's Designs – Lead by the genius ship designer Cara Sampson, Sampson's Designs is the R&D section of Imperial Shipworks. They create the designs and manufacturing process that is then given to the other parts of the company for actual deployment.
Construction Yards:
Naval Dock KP-302XV45B – The original structure the Atrisian Navy had to rely on for all repairs, this Naval Dock is designed more for resupply than refits making it difficult for the company to to more than basic repair work on their larger ships. With the construction of the Jade Cradle the Naval Dock has been scaled back for use on repair work for smaller ships.
Jade Cradle – Only recently constructed, the Jade Cradle is a scalable shipyard owned and operated by the Atrisian Navy. Its births are either used in the construction of naval vessels, or are leased out to civilians. In either case Imperial Shipworks is the only ship building company allowed to operate inside the Cradle.
