Armor Description
Stormtrooper armor has been a staple of this galaxy for hundreds of years. It's classic, iconic, and for the most part pretty useless. That was until Reclaimer Arms & Industrial had a crack at it. Taking the classic look and modifying it ever so slightly to make it more combat effective, the exclusive Imperial Remnant Stormtrooper armor is meant for the modern day trooper who still needs to rock that classic oppressive getup.
Strengths. With all around decent protection from except lightsabers, the IR Stormtrooper armor is created pretty simply by layering armor to have it perform so much better than the original slab of Laminate armor. With the laminate plate coming first it's followed by a sheet of blaster resistant Fleximetal, after that there's the Reclaimer exclusive material Zilo Skin designed to disperse kinetic energy across ceramic plates. Then finally there's the arginium mesh cage with the purpose of dispersing ion and EMP energies, along with reflecting solar radiation which the material is more classically used for. All and all the armor provides good protection for a trooper, just try not to face someone with a lightsaber otherwise the armor won't hold up against it what so ever. It's the bane of all stormtroopers.
Furthermore the standard gear that comes with the armor can be life savers, there's something for pretty much any situation. So as long as the trooper has been properly trained on the gear they have an increased chance of survival.
Weaknesses. So let's talk blunt force trauma. Zilo Skin is great and all, but it's not going to save you from getting hit across the head by something heavy. Clubs, hammers, large caliber rifles, anything that can cause neck and spine damage can kill the user through concussive force alone. Furthermore there are more vulnerable areas on the armor, the neck, armpits, a few areas on the sides, like any armor system there are weak points. Also remember lightsabers are bad, the armor can take a glancing strike but any real attack it's going to go right through it and you. And sadly it does need to be said. Laminate is shiny, and snipers like shiny things. So if you're going out into the field please please please do not use the shiny white color scheme, because that's just asking for a sniper to shoot you in the face, and Reclaimer Arms & Industrial is in no way shape or form responsible for your negligence in that situation. Use different cammos, dammit.
Summary. If you're a grey blooded imperial looking to serve, this is the armor you want. First Order armor is garbage compared to this, so be sure to do the right thing and join the side with the armor that will save your life rather than having a single plate of laminate standing between you and a shallow grave.
