- Description: The Purge Troopers, much like their distant cousins, the Death Troopers, use sets of entirely black armor to add to their terror factor. Taken from the most devoted and skilled soldiers of the CompForce, the Purge Troopers are absolutely ideological and zealous, opposing enemies of the New Imperial Order by all heart and ability. As part of the Imperial Security Bureau, they are secret operators, professional and brutal. Their intimidating black and red appearance is only highlighted by the fact that outside of their units, they are rarely seen without helmet. It is both a measure of terror and protection, giving those they oppose not the pleasure of knowing who they fight and making all Purge Troopers a face of the Empire itself and to protect the Purge Troopers themselves, as some might have family and due to the harsh and extreme actions they have to commit, it could lead to them being specifically targeted.

The Imperial Security Bureau issued a request for a new, specialised and elite strike unit assisting the CompForce with high valued prisoners, dangerous terrorists and especially Dark side practitioners as well as rogue Force users. The request was issued barely a rotation after the new Warden of the Empire was elected. With some consideration, the request was granted, with one minor addition.
The new Imperial Purge Troopers would indeed be taken from the best performing and veterans of the CompForce and assist in the various duties of the ISB, including high value prisoner transfers, infiltration and elimination missions. They are specifically trained and drilled to understand to take out the heart and head of enemy movements, of rebels and to brutally make an example of them to install fear in the followers. Their main duty though was to hunt down Dark side users and cultists in the Empire as well as any rogue Force-sensitives who evaded any screening and registration process.
The minor addtion though, which made the ISB not only cringe, but officially protest more than once, was the shared jurisdiction and command. If these Purge Troopers were capable of taking on Force-users, they would be excellent support and strike teams for the Imperial Knights and therefore Imperial High Command issued a shared command to both the ISB and Imperial Knights for the Purge Trooper Commands.
Not as elite as the infamous Death Troopers in combat, but much more zealous and assigned to less valorous and more punitive and exterminative tasks, the Purge Troopers are quickly gaining a reputation for being heroes of the Empire, the vanguard of the New Order. They are absolutely uncompromising, cold and effective against armed and unarmed opponents equally.
