Imperial Intelligence is the vast and secretive information arm of the Galactic Empire, working under the direct authority of the Grand Vizier and the Emperor. It exists as a sprawling network of shadow operatives, data surveillance branches, and political enforcers meant to secure the Empire from both internal dissent and external threats.
Its two primary divisions are:
Office of Imperial Promotion, Galactic Truth, and Fact Correction (OIT)
Formerly COMPNORThe OIT is the propaganda and narrative control wing of the Empire. It is tasked with shaping public opinion, rewriting galactic history where needed, and identifying ideological deviation. Through media, education, and cultural programming, the OIT ensures that the story of the Empire remains the only story that matters.
Responsibilities:
- Control and distribution of official information
- Suppression of heretical or subversive media
- Indoctrination through holonet broadcasts, literature, and arts
- Oversight of the Ministry of Public Enlightenment
- Coordination with the Church of the Dark Side for doctrinal consistency
Leadership:
- Chaired by the Director of Imperial Intelligence
- Reports to Grand Vizier

Imperial Security Bureau (ISB)
The ISB functions as the secret police and internal counter-intelligence force of the Empire. Its reach spans every military branch, planetary government, and civil administration, with the power to investigate, detain, or eliminate threats to Imperial stability.Responsibilities:
- Monitoring of Imperial citizens, governors, and military personnel
- Investigations of sedition, treason, and heresy
- Infiltration of rival factions or rebellious cells
- Detainment and interrogation of high-risk individuals
- Protection of high-ranking Imperial officials
Notable Subdivisions:
- Internal Affairs Division: Monitors the loyalty of Imperial Officers
- Detention & Interrogation Division: Oversees black sites and truth extraction
- Galactic Threat Division: Tracks major threats including Jedi, rebels, and rogue Sith
Leadership:
- Directed by the Director of Imperial Security Bureau
- Oversight by and reports to the Director of Imperial Intelligence
