Description: Due to the recent incursions on Fringe Space by Republic Forces and the subsequent peace treaty between the two powers, Alen Na'Varro saw the need for a semi-autonomous military group that could act in the Fringe's best interests without directly representing them. His resulting creation was the Eclipse, a body of political radicals, mercenaries and Force users that aimed to strike other major galactic powers with devastating hit-and-run raids. However, Na'Varro knew that a mobile base was key for the small group, otherwise they could easily end up tracked down and destroyed by superior numbers. The Eclipse Prime was his solution.

Along with @[member="Peyton Steele"], Na'Varro retrieved an Imperial-II class Star Destroyer left over from Palpatine's Empire, the Reliance, and brought it back to Annaj for an extensive upgrade and re-fit. The ship had been mysteriously kept in reasonable condition for the most part, and so outside involvement by forces out of anyone's control were suspected. However, there was still a huge amount of work to be done. The former ship-of-the-line had to be refitted into a support carrier with additions to non-combative attachments in order to suit the Eclipse's purposes.

Firstly, the out-of-date and no longer functioning hyperdrive had to be replaced with a new Class 1.0 model in order to fit with speed expectations. Every single battery on the Reliance was dormant and all had to be removed. These guns were replaced with a much more modest arsenal, as production necessitated a large increase in hangar space. In order to provide room for training facilities and more comfortable living quarters, the Eclipse Prime would not have a full carrier's complement of starfighters, and so Invictus Aeronautics and Iron Crown cut the amount of fighters and bombers by three squadrons. Engines were updated and refitted, and some of the hangar space was converted into an advanced training facility for Force Users and commandos. The ship itself is mainly crewed by political activist volunteers, and as such, Na'Varro made sure that the ship had bar facilities. Lastly, due to the Fringe now having access to Galactic Empire tech, 48 Banzai drop pods were installed for tactical insertion purposes.

The Eclipse Prime became a Lords of the Fringe vessel and was initially assigned to the Reserve Fleet, however, it has been loaned (stolen, officially) to the Eclipse, who will use it as a mobile base until the Fringe take it back to use as a training facility.

Right, you're ten guns over the limit for a carrier type ship, but you've dropped quite a few fighters as well so I'm willing to let that go, this carries a lot less than the cannon version anyways.

What I'm not willing to let pass is the added Gravity Well without further reduction or more work on it. Those things were fething big and the Imp II didn't have that much internal space after the hangers and reactor to begin with.
I do like your dev thread though, one tiny nit-pick (more of an fyi) you don't have to act on unless you want to, The Black Suns gave the fringe most of their fleet before going minor and it included modernized Imp II's.
