Corporation Name: Imperial Elite Shipyards (Or IES)

Headquarters: Melida/Daan

Locations:
  • Melida/Daan (Headquarters and Orbital Shipyards)
  • Vergesso Asteroids (Orbital Shipyards)
  • Alzoc III (Planetary Foundries and Mines)

Operations: IES currently focuses on small-scale starships such as fighters, corvettes, frigates, and sometimes cruisers. As a secondary operation, IES produces the parts that go into the ships, be it engines, hyperdrives, reactors, and other electronic components. Other things such as droids and weapons may be included rarely.

Rationale: Tanomas Graf came to create Imperial Elite Shipyards after the proven success of his revitalization of Imperial designs within the First Order, such as the powerful Imperial X-class Star Destroyer and its smaller cousin the Victory X-class Star Destroyer, as well as several smaller TIE Fighter designs. The aged admiral wanted to remake all of the ships that had made the Galactic Empire of old great, be it the Tartan-class Patrol Cruiser to the massive Allegiance-class Battlecruiser.

Tier: 2

Description: Death Squadron started off as the most notable Imperial fleet during the Galactic Civil War, led by Lord Darth Vader himself on the super star destroyer Executor. Years of service later and hundreds of missions including the notable Battle of Hoth and disastrous collapse of the Empire during the Battle of Endor, Death Squadron was mostly disbanded, with only a few star destroyers serving during the Thrawn campaign, afterwards with the Empire finally destroyed, the fabled squadron was no more.

Until nearly a millennium later in 849 ABY, during the glorious reign of the descendant of the Empire, The First Order. Aspiring naval officer Commodore Tanomas Graf named his newly fielded squadron of Imperial X-class Star Destroyers "Death Squadron", reinstating the legacy of the Galactic Empire in both name and tech. The squadron would serve on many more missions, even contributing in the Battle of the Deadly Void during the Omega War.

After the further development of past Imperial designs, such as the Victory X and the TIE/D, Admiral Graf discovered the advantage of recreating these centuries-old vessels and implementing new technology into them. The dagger-like designs of the first Galactic Empire coupled with the devastating weaponry of the present dominated the battlefield, both psychologically and physically. And so came about the creation of Imperial Elite Shipyards, where Tanomas Graf could continue the development of his designs without bureaucracy standing in his way.

IES operates simply, with construction going through a cycle. A planetary body with a high concentration of minerals holds the main mining operation of that sector. Those minerals are shipped to a second planet that holds a decent civilian populace where the main construction takes place with those civilians working jobs (with benefits of course) producing the ship to the best of their required specifications. Finally the newly-completed vessels are taken to the system that holds the headquarters of that sector to be fitted with auxiliary systems and be thoroughly inspected before deemed reliable for service, these headquarters also serve as staging areas for ship recalls and the repair, refitting, and retrofitting of starships.

Planets that host these operations are given a generous percentage of the profits, negotiated by representatives and sometimes the owner himself, these credits are usually put back into the planet to help develop the infrastructure and other things such as education and health. On a larger scale, taxes are also paid to the major factions in exchange for operating in their space and more secure protection against rival corporations.

The ships themselves are ordinarily sold to the highest bidder, as well as put into service by the First Imperial Navy.

The owner is currently Tanomas Grafhttp://starwarsrp.net/user/9284-tanomas-graf/, with no clear line of succession in the case of his eventual retirement or unexpected death.

Subsidiaries: As a Tier 2 Company, IES is not allowed any subsidiaries.

Parent Corporation: IES is an independent corporation.
