A brow had perked at the letter in her inbox. There was a request for her presence, and in all honesty Nora wasn’t sure why. Over the last few months there hadn’t been much time in the schedule for her own projects and her time in the lab had been diminished to something similar to every other weekend as a result. She missed the sterile environs of the labs but the Order needed her for other things. Off the top of her head she could think of just a few things. Advice, negotiations, humanitarian work, overseeing renovations, working with the local government to ensure that the nightshrike and sabrecat situation was defused which in turn meant ensuring continued smooth sailing with the Confederacy’s presence on the planet, and of course she couldn’t forget the fact that she had therapy on top of that.

With time it got all the more obvious why Hazel broke. At least that’s what Nora would think to be the reason. Truth told Nora dwelled on the question way too much and sought answers that she wouldn’t ever find. She knew this, her therapist had known this too and they worked to help her get mind off of it.

Not that betrayal was easy to just drop. It had a way with people like that.

The shake of her ship brought her out of her daydream as ship touched down on its designated landing platform. This would be the first time she was off-world for her own sake and benefit since she left home on Arkania for Monastery. So much time had been spent trying to make life well again for others that somewhere Nora had lost track of herself. Which was perhaps why Karl hadn’t even offered her the chance to say anything about it as she asked him about it. The list that she had held in her hands at the time had in every sense of the word been torn from her hands and given off to the rest of the Order. It was a good reminder of the fact that she wasn’t in this alone and that others were there for her just as she was for them.

Her mind had troubles letting work go, but she did her best. The ship finished decontamination and opened to let the fresh air in. Blank, pupil-lacking eyes studied the environment around them for each step that she took off the ship. There were many heat signatures here. Nora frowned as she looked back at the Sacred Lotus logo on her transport with a careful glance to make sure they were still there.

Someone was meant to meet her here, but she didn’t really know who it was. Just his name, [member="Ye Hyonu"].

The sound of a speeder that was heavily modified echoed through the port. The man held no regard for the other vehicles that he was weaving in and out of. He was running later than he wanted to be to pick up the assistant he had summoned to meet him on Kiribi. She was a friend of a mutual friend of theirs and said friend mentioned that she was brilliant in her own regard. This intrigued the Seoulian greatly thus prompted this meeting. Dr. Hyonu Ye had lost funding for his current project – so he was preparing for an interview with KSA. Yet, he needed to evacuate the small research building he was renting out.

There was barely a coin to his name for the time being. What kept him afloat was smart interests that he had taken stock in. Kept food on the table and roof over his head, but to pay for research supplies and an assistant – there was nothing. So, he hoped that this girl would be more than willing to work for free.

Sounds of a dying engine echoed in the small hanger’s parking lot. Climbing off the bike, he headed towards the port’s terminal to wait for the girl. The sound of his leather shoes echoed and a few of the bystanders glanced towards him as he walked through the hallway. Looking through some of the windows he noticed the Sacred Lotus’ ship. This meant that the girl had arrived and so he waited. Removing his sunglasses, he tucked them away into the leather riding jacket he was wearing. Arms crossed as he waited for the girl to arrive. At least she wouldn’t know he was late.

People unloaded the ship and Nora took her first uncertain steps off the ramp before the usual confidence she usually carried herself with began to spread through her body again. Inquisitive glances took in the sights of the world as the sound of the last few crates being loaded up on her transport was heard and the ramp began to close. With a last wave goodbye to her friends Nora would soon find herself alone on the new world, but not afraid.

The port was bustling with life. It was easy to forget that the peace and quiet of the enclave on Monastery wasn’t as common out there as Nora would have liked to believed. The quiet had been changed for constant buzzing here and the sights had been changed from plains and open nature to concrete jungles and tight corners. It didn’t speak to her to the same degree, but the atmosphere was a welcome change of pace regardless. In a sense it reminded her of home on Arkania, but the less she thought about it the better. The homesickness was something she could have done without.

Stepping through the arrivals terminal she would come to meet someone that seemed to meet the description that she had been provided. He was tall, handsome and certainly a local. Nora approached the man, her arm stretching out to grab his.

His hand latched on with a firm shake.

“You must be Ye.” Nora said with a happy smile.

But the man simply blinked.

“Uh, no… You must have me mistaken, I’m Byung-Hee.” He spoke with a certain kind of fondness for his own name. “I wouldn’t mind being this… Ye, though.”

Nora’s teeth had already gritted by this point. Her teeth were exposed with a slight chuckle as she closed her eyes to laugh at herself.

“I’m sure you would, sir.” She said and bowed her head with respect. “While I appreciate the compliment, I am not here to see Doctor Ye for myself as much as business. And if you’re not him…”

“You need to go.” The man said with an amused smile.

“I need to go.” Nora spoke through a smile of her own.

Nora turned around to start looking around for this man she was meant to meet. From behind her she could hear the angry sounds of a sister hitting her brother along with a few hits against his jacket and pride. While the language wasn’t known to her, the sound of a disappointed and frustrated sister was one that was hard to ignore.

Now, where was that doctor?
