A brow had perked at the letter in her inbox. There was a request for her presence, and in all honesty Nora wasn’t sure why. Over the last few months there hadn’t been much time in the schedule for her own projects and her time in the lab had been diminished to something similar to every other weekend as a result. She missed the sterile environs of the labs but the Order needed her for other things. Off the top of her head she could think of just a few things. Advice, negotiations, humanitarian work, overseeing renovations, working with the local government to ensure that the nightshrike and sabrecat situation was defused which in turn meant ensuring continued smooth sailing with the Confederacy’s presence on the planet, and of course she couldn’t forget the fact that she had therapy on top of that.
With time it got all the more obvious why Hazel broke. At least that’s what Nora would think to be the reason. Truth told Nora dwelled on the question way too much and sought answers that she wouldn’t ever find. She knew this, her therapist had known this too and they worked to help her get mind off of it.
Not that betrayal was easy to just drop. It had a way with people like that.
The shake of her ship brought her out of her daydream as ship touched down on its designated landing platform. This would be the first time she was off-world for her own sake and benefit since she left home on Arkania for Monastery. So much time had been spent trying to make life well again for others that somewhere Nora had lost track of herself. Which was perhaps why Karl hadn’t even offered her the chance to say anything about it as she asked him about it. The list that she had held in her hands at the time had in every sense of the word been torn from her hands and given off to the rest of the Order. It was a good reminder of the fact that she wasn’t in this alone and that others were there for her just as she was for them.
Her mind had troubles letting work go, but she did her best. The ship finished decontamination and opened to let the fresh air in. Blank, pupil-lacking eyes studied the environment around them for each step that she took off the ship. There were many heat signatures here. Nora frowned as she looked back at the Sacred Lotus logo on her transport with a careful glance to make sure they were still there.
Someone was meant to meet her here, but she didn’t really know who it was. Just his name, [member="Ye Hyonu"].
