The duo of M47 dropships dropped out of hyper way closer to the station than most safety regulations allowed much to the surprise of the bored tech on sensor duty. Nothing ever happened out here in the armpit of Hutt Space. Heck, there wasn't even anything out here aside from this graxitium processing station and the pulsar, and nobody cared about repulsorlift circuitry, you certainly wouldn't get rich off it, and it took the Sakiyan a moment to process what he was seeing. The missile warning the antiquated computer pushed out snapped him out of his daze and he slapped his own general alarm moments before the station's communications array was blown away. Two things suddenly became very apparent. One, this wasn't a friendly visit. Two, no help would be coming.

Blaster cannons mounted under the nose of each attacker opened up, quickly destroying the station's few defenses before they could be manned. Then they split apart as the sensor tech watched helplessly, one headed towards the hanger where a barrage of rockets destroyed the few junkers there while the other glided into position above the command deck. He saw it through the windows as it glided past looking like some predatory sea creature. Dull thumping sounds rang through the hull as the ship clamped on and then a sparking hiss could be heard. "Their cutting through!" One of the other Sakiyan's yelled in panic. That started a general stampede as the five of them made a break for the door out.

Moments later the ceiling fell in with a crash and the first of the armored troops dropped down with weapons at the ready.

Straightening after her armored boots hit the deck plating, Domino brought her blaster up and sent a spray of fire into the backs of the bald-headed aliens fleeing the room cutting down several of them in the process. Behind her there were several thuds as the three squads of marines she'd brought with her followed her through the hole they'd cut. A quick search of the room revealed another Sakiyan hiding behind a console, they too were quickly executed and several of her people took over the stations as others flooded out of the control center and into the station proper.

Reports of each system shutting down quickly came in as her crew shut them down and a map was uploaded to the tac-net. The station plunged into darkness as the reactor was shut down before green emergency lighting clicked on. Something with the Sakiyan's eyes or physiology. "Plant charges and move onto your secondary objectives," Domino commanded before heading deeper into the station herself. She could hear the sporadic burst of automatic blaster fire ahead as the Marines slaughtered their way through the station.

Blood splattered the walls and bodies sprawled across the rooms she passed as she followed the path laid out for her on the helmet's HUD. By now elements of her troops from each of the ships had met up and were pushing through the station's manufacturing section. As for Domino, she was headed towards the small R&D section set aside for the Nar Haaska Research institute. It was a small place with only a dozen or so stations for students to learn at and one or two tenured professors to oversee and run their own projects. Domino only knew about it because she'd helped set it up as a charity back when she'd been Vigo of the Black Suns, and it was this research department that she was here for now.

Pausing outside the section's sealed hatchway, she waited for one of the teams to meet up with her. When they had she drew a vibro-blade in her off-hand and nodded to the men to begin placing breaching charges.

The aurel dampers in her helmet muted the explosion which in turn covered the sharp screams of its victims as the door flew inward. Again the Twi'lek was the first through the breach and she brought her blade around in a hook to stab into the stunned student still holding the chair he'd planned to brain one of the intruders with. A sharp yank back towards herself pulled the back of the blade along his ribs and through the lungs before he collapsed and slid off it. Then she raised the blaster in her other hand and sent several blasts into the injured and dying.

This wasn't the room she wanted so she pressed on to where the professors ran their experiments, there she found a Bith in a white lab coat and the fruits of his research on the Godsheart. "Hello Professor Tedn." She greeted him. She hadn't actually remembered his name from when the grant for this place had been organized nearly a decade ago, but the pre-op planning had included the teachers assigned here and it was his project that she'd been interested in. "The stasis containers will be in that side room, escort them back to the ships." She commanded the Marines as the Bith collected himself.

"You! I remember that voice! Vigo! Domino! Why?" The professor cried out in mixed revelation and the confusion brought about by it. "You helped create this place," he sputtered in his alien tongue at a loss.

"And now it's time to collect," she replied coolly. She actually wasn't happy doing this. The killing of innocents had never brought her pleasure but this was an instance where she couldn't allow any witnesses or be tied to the loss of the material she was stealing or the destruction of the station which would erase all evidence of her presence and the theft. Tedn was allowed a few more seconds before Domino shot him through the head. One of her men checked on her and then re emerged from the storage room lugging an equipment trolley piled high with the stasis tubes. Between those and the ones the others were carrying, she figured they were pulling a little over thirty of the things out. Sheathing her knife, Domino went to the scientist's terminal and begun copying its contents.

After grabbing the data, the armored Twi'lek went into the storage room herself and grabbed a pair of the containers before heading back up to the command center. Once there she passed up her cargo to be secured and then hoisted herself into the back of the dropship. "Status Ship One." She ordered and got told that they were nearly done securing the containers and that the last group of their ship was returning, a similar command for Ship Two had them report over the comm that they'd finished sweeping the industrial areas and sealed off or cleared the remains of the station.

They took off three minutes later as the other ship did the same from the wrecked hanger. For a moment it looked like they were leaving until they swung around for another approach. Purple light flared out as the ships launched missiles that rocketed into the defenseless station. Explosions flared deep inside from a second salvo that opened it up from the inside before the reactor and its fuel went up, atomizing much of the remaining structure. Then the predatory ships swept the area for any escape pods so they could extinguish them with their blaster cannons. Turning a final time, the two ships disappeared into hyperspace leaving only death and a dead star in their wake.

The two ships exited hyperspace having circled around Sith space to come into the system from galactic south and made their way straight into the secure dock at Domino's station. Domino stayed long enough to supervise the unloading and thank her soldiers for their work before heading to her chambers. "Get these to Ookarwa, I'm going to shower and then check on his progress." She didn't expect any results in half an hour, but she wanted to see the beginning steps.

Ookarwa had been a top scientist in the Black Suns back when she ran it, he was the one that had headed the joint project with the CIS to unlock the secrets of adagan cloaking technology, he'd been the point man on the reverse-engineering and dismantling of the Black Hex star destroyer, and before leaving the Vigo's seat Domino had given him a job at Phenex Industries as the head of R&D. Now the veritable genius was on semi-permanent loan to her from the company's new owner Matsu Ike. Fresh from cleaning up, Domino now embraced the man as an old friend and the inaugurator of her technological dreams.

By the time she reached the laboratory set up for Ookarwa the canisters were already labeled and hooked up to a power supply running behind the shelves they were stacked on. One was displaced, hooked up to a testing machine that had extracted the particle within and took readings from it. After their embrace the man told her of the readings. "This first one is too weak, only by just a little. However, if it is an average result, if as the joke goes that half are below average, then the opposite is also true, and thus I am optimistic."

"Good," Domino nodded, "If you don't mind I'll stay and watch a few more tests." Ookarwa gave his assent and Domino watched as the cast-off piece of the Godsheart pulsar was returned to the container, given a red mark and the next was brought out. It too was measured and then discarded. As the tests continued Domino began to wander through the rest of the lab, examining the resources she'd given to the scientist. Eventually she came to the second half of the project that she'd given to the man. Several spheres just under two meters in diameter sat in containment rings to await their new hearts. They were prototypes but their polished durasteel shells still gleamed under the white lights. Reaching out she ran a hand along one of the safety rails not daring to risk contamination of the chamber itself.

"I have one!" The Doctor's cry broke Domino out of her reverie. "I have one," he repeated again in a more controlled voice as she looked over. The test was complete and the man was using the controls to maneuver the neutron particles back into the container. From there he brought it to the prototype Domino was waiting at and gently hooked the carry cylinder up to it. A few moments later the status lights changed and the reator's access door shut. Ookarwa removed and discarded the container with barely a glance spared for it. Slowly a hum built up from the Star Engine as the poles began to affect its internals. "That hum is the radiation shielding," Ookarwa expounded. "The engine itself is completely silent to our ears. Yet as long as a piece of the Godsheart is in place, it will power its own radiation shield and you will get this humming." Domino nodded, pleased as she listened with half her attention. The rest was focused on the power readings coming from the reactor, very pleased indeed. She congratulated him and made her way to her office to rest and await further results.

In the end they made twenty of the generators which left several of the pulsar particles to replace any that were destroyed.
