I'm a What? (Niamh)

Saki

Came in like a wrecking maul

Ossus

Such a strange planet to have a stopover on. Well, that's the way things work when you're in the Navy. One minute you're at Anaxes, the next Alderaan, and then you're taking a stop by Ossus or Tython. She didn't get it, but that was the way of life in the Navy. All the sinky Jedi around too! Sheesh! So prim and proper. She'd like it when the Rogue's were around on Eshan. Those were fun people. They killed things.

But anyway, she walked around the temple, the parts open to her, in her Lieutenant's uniform, with Teria following in her footsteps. She couldn't even stop to use the Fresher without the other woman following her in.

"Why are you taking such an interest in this place?" Teria asked.

"I'm curious how the other half lives! I lived around all the Rogues for quite a while. I want to see what these guys are like at home."

"I see. So, you're being nosy."

"More or less."

Niamh smirked and kept walking, looking into rooms as she passed.

"Come on lift it." Saki was standing there with the padawans as she had the hammer in the ground. Their faces showing the strain of it all while she spoke. "No you have to stand firm and lift." She lifted the heavier hammer with both hands and the obsidian style head of it gleamed as she set the handle to tap the ground. "Alright then we'll try this another way, wack-a-paddie." They looked at her. "It is simple you need to learn how to evade attacks and stand your ground. I want to find one of you who knows what they are doing."

The padawans kept looking at her for a moment while she hefted the hammer and rested it on her shoulder. The force making the muscles in her arms larger and showing the veins under the skin. Saki moved charging as she spoke. "Dodge." As she left plenty of room to miss them and focused on adjusting her swings in the group of padawans. She'd get them to dodge or stop the hammer and came to the edge of the grass swinging towards the two women.

Niamh Raste, on 07 Sept 2014 - 09:05 AM, said:

A leisurely stroll was soon interrupted by the strange training practices that she witnessed from [member="Saki"]. This intrigued her to no end, the barbarically humorous method in which the woman was chasing her padawans with a giant hammer.

"Now there's a woman I could love."

She smirked and Teria just groaned. Well, until Saki came at the two of them with that giant hammer. Niamh reacted first by swiftly stepping away and flipping up and over the hammer to land on the opposite, and less dangerous side of it. No Force assist, just simple Echani acrobatics from her martial arts background. Teria simply drew back and out of the way, reaching towards her weapon at what she perceived as a threat to her charge. Niamh waved at her.

"None of that Teria."

"But-"

"No. Stop. Let it be. It was actually quite invigorating."

Saki kept moving as she spun around and smashed towards a padawan. "DODGE!!!!" The hammer flying past them as they moved and a large crater was on the ground. The padawan was looking at her for a moment before she picked it up and stopped for a moment. Looking back at the other ones who had been walking and the one who dodged she had to admit did it the right way... The other had went for her weapon.

"That wasn't the lesson but see how they did that. One stood their ground and drew a weapon and the other got out of the way. This is what you need to learn now." She turned back around and hefted the hammer again holding it for a moment on her shoulder. "Now who are the two of you? I haven't seen you around before."

"Oh, I'm Lieutenant Niamh Raste, Republic Navy, and Echani High Protector. We're on a stopover so I thought I'd have a looksie. My homeworld was the original Rogue Jedi location."

She shrugged and gave Teria a stare until she put her weapon away. Niamh hadn't gone for hers, after all. This wasn't about that kind of crap, really. There wasn't going to be any fighting here. Besides, Niamh was just passing through. Not like she could touch the Force.

"Forgive our intrusion, though. We didn't mean to interfere. And don't worry about Teria, she just gets edgy when people swing weapons at me."

Saki looked at the hammer and then at the woman then back to the hammer. "I can see that but we don't try and hurt people here... often that one padawan completely misread the wet floor sign." She had a smirk on her face though and turned her head pointing as one of the padawans brought a case over on a repulsor sled as she set the hammer in next to the large weight on a chain and armor.

"Well if you want you can bring some of those fancy dodges into this session. Always good to show the padawan's how to dodge and Echani are great at that." She also was more curious looking at the protector with a raised eyebrow while offering for them to come and join them on he grass. "Alright padawan's you all were good but your going to have to be better. Best way to combat a sith is to avoid his saber strikes and not listen to him."

Niamh Raste, on 08 Sept 2014 - 03:29 AM, said:

Niamh lofted a brow as she looked between Saki and the kids she was teaching. She didn't really know how to take what was being said to her. In fact, it kind of confused her. Last time she'd fought a Force User it hadn't gone so well, so she didn't exactly feel like a good candidate to learn from.

"Why do you want me to join your class? I'm not a Jedi or anything. I can't anticipate your attacks the way that they should. I can just react if I have the time to do so."

She looked at Teria, but the woman said nothing and took a step back. That just made Niamh frown at her.

[member="Saki"]

Saki shrugged. "Never be so sure, might be surprised." She had the smirk on her face while going through the case and taking the pack and arm sections as she put them on. The whips getting strung through and a look at the two of them. "Besides you are an echani your taught combat and that method of prediction right? Able to win fights before a battle even begins and all that."

She checked the whips and ejected one testing it and then the other before both went back into place. "There is also the part where getting your friend to frown can be fun she looks like she needs a hug to cheer up or some tea." Now the jedi master was looking at the padawans and set her saber in the box. "Alright this time we'll do things a little differently. You activate your blades and deflect the whips they are on low setting so it will only stun.

Niamh Raste, on 08 Sept 2014 - 4:01 PM, said:

"Sometimes. Doesn't always work with people who can do the same."

She smirked a little bit. Teria was still frowning. She didn't much care for letting Niamh do anything dangerous. She never had. Of course, that was part of what it meant to be a bodyguard. Niamh just grinned at the woman and then turned her attention back to Saki, watching the curious woman as she went to get her whip thingamajig ready. This brought a tilt of her head and then she looked over at Teria.

"Give me your energy blade."

"Are you going to lose this one too?"

"No. Now give me."

Teria sighed and tossed the weapon to Niamh, who thumbed it on and twirled it once.

"Not sure this will work the same way as a lightsaber with what you have planned, but it's worth a shot. It does stop lightsaber blades, after all."

She moved over to where the padawans were, grinning at them, and then assumed a simple ready stance that would allow her to move in any fashion she wanted. It was a balanced, neutral stance, and perfect for this situation.

Saki thought about how best to go about it and she smirked seeing the training blades and the energy blade. The whips lowered touching the grass and she spoke more. "Alright we'll see how it goes, the whips are skilled and able to resist sabers so be ready all of you." She went slowly bringing one to her hand and then flinging it out as a padawan moved and blocked it yelping as the whip struck his hand and came back to hers.

"Come on don't let up, focus and trust your instincts, the force will flow through you and tell you what can happen." Saki turned her attention to Niamh and thought about how best to do it and she held out one hand throwing at half speed the whip towards her hands on the blade. "Alright lets see how you handle it."

Niamh Raste, on 08 Sept 2014 - 6:40 PM, said:

This was kind of exciting. She hadn't gotten to do any dancing for quite some time, and the last attempt she'd made of it had ended in some severe electrical burns, as it were. That hadn't been the fun she was looking for. She still had scars from it, unlike Teria who had been wearing armor at the time. That was something that she planned on fixing as soon as possible.

When [member="Saki"] turned towards her, Niamh readied herself. The woman had gone for the hands on the other kid, and she guessed this was going to be a regular tactic as the woman didn't want to severely hurt her students, right? Well, when the whip came towards her, she reacted.

Her hand lifted swiftly at the same time as Saki brought her arm forward to fling the whip. A twirl of fingers and the energy blade inverted. Fingers grasped tightly, taking the whip around the weapons blade mere inches below the hand. Something twinged within her, and she jerked the whip, intending on pulling the woman towards her and off balance. Maybe with just a bit more strength than should be normal for her, too. Blame the Echani in her. She liked a good fight.

Saki, on 08 Sept 2014 - 10:41 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki felt the jerk of the whip and was moving forward but letting her own body leap with it, she pulled to bring the woman closer to her as the whip tried to retract and coming down planted herself with a stomp that brought up a rock she kicked away. A small smirk on her face while it went high into the air and away with the shaping. Her feet staying their ground while she focused and worked to keep herself ground to her spot while pulling.

"Good now lets see how well you can dodge." Saki lashed out with the second whip at the same speed and aimed for the hands/blade. She might want to fight and get a work out but she wasn't going to outright brutalize people in the temple. Her eyes flicked to the bodyguard for just a moment while she was wondering a few things. Mostly how much she thought when she wasn't focused on winning a fight or knocking people around, she debated seeing if she could push the girl into showing if she could feel the force.

Niamh Raste, on 09 Sept 2014 - 03:35 AM, said:

Teria had resigned herself to the fact that Niamh was going to do this regardless of what she said. So when [member="Saki"] looked at her, she just waved her hand to continue. No amount of appeal from the bodyguard was ever going to stop Niamh from doing what she wanted to do. Teria had learned that quite some time ago. Her charge was just much too stubborn.

When Saki stood her ground and brought the other whip around, Niamh reacted by pulling her blade upward and free of the first whip, while spinning down to being near flat to the ground, both arms held out to the side, feet in a somewhat awkward position, but still in the clear to move if need be. If Saki was going to push her to open up, she was going to really have to find a way to corner the woman somehow.

Saki, on 09 Sept 2014 - 08:02 AM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki watched her dodge and she was moving again standing while she lashed out with the whips this time to strike the ground near where the woman had went down.... not that she would know they were just going to strike near her head or body. She was thinking more how to catch someone who dodged strikes and raised a foot as it came down and sent a strike to the earth.

The kick was to raise some of the ground around all of them and make a box almost while she moved involving the other padawans, lashing out carefully to get them to dodge and move with the attacks or stand their ground and defend holding the whips at bay while she moved to try and push them harder. "Keep it up come on and try to move about. We'll get you guys ready to face sith."

Niamh Raste, on 09 Sept 2014 - 3:34 PM, said:

It worked well enough. Ahh the joys of dancing. She almost felt at home except for the fact that it wasn't so cold that her nipples were standing on end. Nope. Here she was just a woman in a naval Lieutenant's uniform, fighting with a really powerful, and somewhat scary, Jedi Master. She was kind of hot, too, but Niamh kept that to herself. Teria could read her mind and rolled her eyes, though.

The whips were coming again, and the ground shattered. That freaked her out a bit and she jumped backwards. She jumped backwards so powerfully that she slammed into a nearby wall. And by nearby we're talking about ten meters, and she didn't hit the base of it.

Groaning, she stood slowly.

"Who put that wall there?" She rubbed her back. "And how the heck did I just jump that far?"

[member="Saki"]

Saki, on 09 Sept 2014 - 5:18 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki showed genuine surprise at that, she hadn't expected her to jump through the air to the near top fo the wall. She had just created it to box them in while bringing the whips back and with her feet planted in the ground the wall went down. Her body stepping forward as she closed the fssure and looked to Niamh's bodyguard for anything walking up. "That was the force and your own natural talents." She had to admit, this was a good surprise.

She took a moment to stand there and look at her before giving a Peter Pan pose, "Now the real question is where do you want to go from here?" Saki kept standing there and looked at the other padawans for a moment. "You guys and girls did well dismissed go and enjoy some food, I'll see about this." Her head turned back to look the girl up and down quickly taking notice but not displaying anythign on her face. "You can go on and have your life or if you want you can stay here and learn how to be a jedi."

Niamh Raste, on 09 Sept 2014 - 5:26 PM, said:

Teria didn't do anything. It was clear now that Saki was trying to expose Niamh to the fact that she was a Force user. The other Echani had known this about her charge ever since she met her, but she'd kept quiet on it. She would much rather have someone capable point it out to her, after all.

"You really have that pose down."

Shaking her head, Niamh lifted a hand up to brush some of the hair back from her face. The little paddys were dismissed, leaving her and Teria alone with the Jedi Master. That could be interesting. Or strange. Or scary depending. [member="Saki"] had kind of an intense presence about her. Something about how she carried herself. It was a cool kind of intense, but it was still really super intense.

"So..." shot shot a glare at Teria for not having told her, "I can use the Force? All these years I thought I was just a better dancer than most of the others."

She snapped her fingers.

"I'll have to have Teria clear it with my Captain, but if I can touch the Force, I might as well learn to use it. I'd be much more useful then, right?"

Saki, on 09 Sept 2014 - 5:45 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Well reflexes and thought was the first and easiest signs of it. She turned her head to look at the woman again and was certain the bodyguard or someone on Eshan would have noticed. Might have to ask about that later on if she remembered. For now she gave a smile showing good humor and relaxed extending out her hand. "Alright then, you clear it and I'll teach you. Never know what your going to learn and being skilled, being able to protect yourself is a big part of being a jedi as is using everything you can to proteect the people. I am Saki of Gallinore."

Niamh Raste, on 09 Sept 2014 - 5:53 PM, said:

Niamh reached out and shook the hand, firmly. She wasn't afraid of showing that she wasn't a frail little thing.

"Nice to meet you."

A grin and then she looked over at Teria.

"Don't worry," the woman said. "I already cleared it. We're stuck here for a while, it seems. Yay."

The last part got Niamh to roll her eyes before she turned her attention back to @Saki. The woman had just gotten herself a new apprentice it would seem. While she wasn't keen on the whole swinging a big ass battle hammer around, she was totally cool with learning how to take her dancing and turn it into something that would even strike fear into most Sith.

"So, how do we start? I suppose with learning how to touch it at will, right? Kind of useless if you can't call on it whenever you need it."

Saki, on 09 Sept 2014 - 6:21 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

How do we start? That kept Saki's grin wide.... maybe even wider as her eyes flashed more what could happen. Trainign a padawan could and was a very deep personal thing. She knew for some masters... her master it had been and intimate experience that was what made the master/student connection powerful. She held the woman's hand noticing at least she wasn't acting dainty about it.

She held herself tought despit having a bodyguard but that could just be for position and family obligations. "We'll start with the basics first, the easiest way to control the force is running, is the physical. The rest can come with practice and skill, I'll have you dodging saber blades with the best of them now lets see you move and run." She brought her hand back and took the whips off setting them in the case while she stretched. Then removed the robes to have a vest and trousers on.

"You ready? We're going to the top of the mountain and I'll get you to learn a few lessons on the way. Main one is that the force, the energy comes from the breath, from the air you inhale and push through your body. Each inhale should bring renewed vigor while each exhale brings out the negative to make room within you." Saki gave a her a moment before her feet touched the ground and she was jogging away pulling her hair into a tight ponytail before securing it.

Niamh Raste, on 09 Sept 2014 - 6:37 PM, said:

"Great. Now I have to work out too," Teria said with a sigh.

"You could use it."

Teria gave Niamh a shocked look at that, until the latter stuck her tongue out at the woman. Niamh was fully matured, she just didn't always act like it. Someone had to provide the comic relief when it came to the military. Everyone always acted like they had stick up their butt or something. That was totally lame and not her style. Having fun while doing work was her gig.

She took her top off, down to just her blouse and trousers, standard Navy blues, if you will. The top, her nifty jacket, was set aside. She kept her hat on, as was proper when outdoors, but pulled her hair back as well. She didn't want it getting in her eyes again, or bouncing her hat off.

"I heard the Force is everything living. The Rogues always said that without it, life wouldn't exist and whatnot."

She set off at a jog, following [member="Saki"] along. Teria moved at their heels.

"It makes sense scientifically, as you can measure a persons midichlorian count." She shrugged. "If it is in everything you would think more people could use it."

Saki, on 09 Sept 2014 - 7:18 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Oh how to explain some fo the finer points, Saki was thinking about it all and she spoke while she changed pace only so the two of them were next to each other and her words came out. "It is in all living things yes but it is athing... Okay I am not very good a the science and mysticism of it... I am a fighter, I can break things. I use the force to protect the people who are good and need it. Might for right you protect the people with what power you have because it is the right thing to do and."

Saki jumped a little as the earth shifted with her landing and a plate of earth came, shaping the earth was a useful skill as she started to move faster and stood there. Turning around to keep pace with her new padawan while she raised an eyebrow and crossed her arms. "Alright keep at it, with each inhale feel the force in the air, in your beath and let it fill and refresh your stamina, your muscles. Allow it to seep into every fiber and muscle of your being as you keep up."

Niamh Raste, on 10 Sept 2014 - 03:05 AM, said:

Niamh was curious about the way that [member="Saki"] interacted with the ground around them, but she figured that was something better discussed when she was more advanced in her training. Though it was pretty cool to watch her do things with it. She offered a quick glance back to check on Teria, but the woman wasn't having any trouble keeping up with them as of yet. That surprised her a bit. Teria had the Force, but no training. Had she trained herself? Niamh could only shrug.

Turning back towards her new master, she focused on what the woman had said. It was all around them and she should breath it in and allow it to do what it would to her muscles. That sounded easy, but she didn't think it would be, after all she hadn't stopped breathing.

Instead, she tried to relax as she ran, focusing inwards instead of outwards. Each step required the motion of a certain series of muscles, and with each movement those muscles contracted and then relaxed, straining her body through the use of vital chemical compounds. She felt herself willing extra strength into the muscles, decreasing the amount of acid produced so that she could run longer and faster. Her speed started increasing, which amazed her in and of itself. If this was what using the Force was like, she was going to be like a kid in a candy store with it.

Saki, on 10 Sept 2014 - 08:54 AM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki kept them moving, it was easie to keep track of the padawan like this and when the hill inclined going up the mountains she knelt to one knee for encouragement and focus. Her hands pumping to bring the plate of earth up the mountain itself while she spoke. "There you go, now your getting it. Let the force sooth the acid in your muscles and push you harder and faster. It will take some work but force body is one of the most beneficial skills to learn right up there with how to predict attacks. This will let a lightfoot like you jump higher, dodge faster ad get around everyone." Plus getting her padawan one of the tougher work outs would help, Saki planned on making sure she could dodge just about everything thrown at her... including a kitchen sink.

Niamh Raste, on 10 Sept 2014 - 2:42 PM, said:

Niamh grinned as she ran along. Behind them, Teria was not having any trouble keeping up whatsoever. Perhaps she was paying as much attention to [member="Saki"] as Niamh was, and was finally honing her Force abilities? Niamh had known all along that Teria had them. The question was, had Teria known about Niamh and then kept it to herself for some nefarious reason?

The hill started to grow into a mountain and Niamh wanted to have some fun. She knew she could use the Force to run, and she know that she could use it to jump as well, given that she'd done it back with the other padawans present. She took that into account, and leaped ahead. Literally, she jumped far enough to get past her master, and then just kept on jumping in big leaps and bounds, side to side, making her way up the mountain. She was laughing as she did it, wind whipping her hair around behind her head. Give a kid some candy and this is what you get.

Saki, on 10 Sept 2014 - 3:55 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki was watching her and then the padawan was jumping up the mountain as she smirked. That was the spirit, test your limits and she stopped for a moment letting the force flow into her legs as the earth shifted and became more like a back stop for her feet. Saki kicked off it letting her muscles propel her forward as she jumped forst and then was chasing her padawan up the mountain while grinning. She was expecting the girl was going to get quite a work out for this and jumped again to match her speed. "Your doing good, keep it up."

Niamh Raste, on 10 Sept 2014 - 4:03 PM, said:

Being a firedancer meant many things. It meant she was a master of the Echani martial arts. It also meant that she was a master of using exotic weaponry while practicing those martial arts. Being such, she was more than capable of doing a lot of really interesting things. Which was probably why, when [member="Saki"] moved up alongside her she decided she was going to throw herself sideways into a barrel roll over the woman as she landed, and then land on the other side before sprinting forward.

"This is so much fun!"

Teria, still behind but keeping up, called ahead.

"I call it a workout, personally. Less fun, but good for the body."

Niamh made a face and then started flipping her way forward, in bounds that were only achievable through the Force. She twisted and contorted her body as she moved along, making her way up the mountain. Yeah, this all was kind of natural to her.

Saki, on 10 Sept 2014 - 5:50 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki nodded her head in approval, her padawan might be showing off but then so could she when the time came. She pushed more nd more to catch up as she reached the to and stopped looking over at the large river leading to the submerged caves the jedi had used in ancient times for supplies. She stood there on the top of the mountain and wiped at some of the sweat beading while she stomped the ground to make three seats. "Alright sit, you've had your work out and know how to do somethings now we'll go into the finer points mainly get to know each other so we can better learn."

Niamh Raste, on 10 Sept 2014 - 6:32 PM, said:

When they reached the top of the mountain, the first thing that Niamh did was bend over and pant for air. Yeah, she was in good physical shape, but she'd gone a bit overboard with what she was doing. Of course, that was to be expected from her. Teria didn't even look winded as she walked up and took one of the seats, relaxing herself while Niamh tried to regain her breath, holding up a finger to ask for a moment.

After what seemed like forever, really it was only a few seconds, she walked over and took a seat, grinning at @Saki.

"That was fun. Seriously fun. So whatcha wanna know, Master Saki? Your name makes me want to go to a cantina, by the way."

Saki, on 10 Sept 2014 - 7:27 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Hahahaha she had heard that before and thinking about what to talk about. There was plenty to get to know each other the first of which was. "Well we should start from the beginning as it were. We'll go back and forth to get an idea and feel for each other." She popped her neck and leaned back a little in the stone seat while she spoke. "What are you skilled in and where are you from? I know Eshan, I know your echani but there are many places on Eshan and saying just one is like calling me just a Hapen." She tapped her fingers. "I am from Gallinore, one of the minor houses and if I hadn't become a jedi possibly sixty third for the throne."

Niamh Raste, on 11 Sept 2014 - 3:12 PM, said:

"So basically unless you killed everyone in front of you, you'd never get the throne."

She knew a little bit about Hapans. Just a little.

"Hapan's are uptight," Teria said. "Really annoying usually, too."

Niamh just shrugged. It was the truth, but she wasn't going to say that with a Hapan standing in front of her. There was such a thing as being polite, even though she usually let her mouth run away with her when it came to things like this. [member="Saki"] seemed like she'd be cool with it, but she wasn't going to chance it.

"I'm from a settlement called Ectoy on Eshan. It's an ice crust settlement. We lived within the ice itself. I grew up reading books and fighting, mastered our martial art really young and became a Firedancer. That kind of makes me an elite practitioner of Echani Martial Arts. Teria here was a simple Martial arts master, though she had some rudimentary knowledge of the Force."

Saki, on 11 Sept 2014 - 4:49 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

She coulldn't argue either point if she wanted to be queen she would have to have a large coup with lots of bodies happen... and even then she was a jedi. Someone else would step in if something like that happened as she wouldn't want it, someone with ambition and ice in their veins. "Well I amnot going to argue that Hapens can be uptight, it is all the high society but oneor two can be fun." The rest about her was good to know, meant she was used to the cold so no complaints if they left for Rhen Var to train in the blizzards.

"Well that is good, there is one other former firedancer in the jedi but I'll look forward to seeing what you can do once we get you into some training garb." Saki remained where she was. "Now there are some other things, I am obviously not the most orthodox of the jedi, I don't swing my saber around until it is absolutely needed. I prefer weapons and hand to hand they are not expecting and always always try and do what is right and good."

Niamh Raste, on 11 Sept 2014 - 4:55 PM, said:

That got her curious. Another Firedancer in the Jedi.

"Who is it? I wonder if I know them."

She pondered this and then glanced from [member="Saki"] to Teria. The latter just shrugged her shoulders to say that she didn't know who it was. Niamh turned her attention back to her Master then. No use spending brain cells on something you could likely get an easy answer to!

"Doing what's right is always a good thing, and as I said, I'm experienced in exotic weapons. I could stand to learn a few more though."

Saki, on 11 Sept 2014 - 5:12 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

"Sarianna. She is an older jedi knight." She smirked at the thought of testing new weapons first and rose while she stood there and gave a nod. "That is good to hear, we won't be build your saber for awhile but a hammer, a mace or your fists those we can use, those we can build up the muscles for and make you sweat. While we do that I'll try and explain it better but your going to be stronger, tougher and with that comes problems."

"Where the sith impose their will because they believe their might makes things right we are using our might for right. Using your strength to do what is right and right for right, doing it because it is and not because there might be some benefit to it." Now she was standing there and spread an arm out as she stomped on the ground making another disc. "Want to slide down with me or run? We're going itno the water below and under that mountain to some of the old parts of the temple for training."

Niamh Raste, on 11 Sept 2014 - 5:19 PM, said:

Niamh stood up, feeling much better than she had when they reached the top of the mountain. She moved over to stand beside [member="Saki"], grinning.

"Let's slide. That sounds fun."

Waving a hand towards Teria, she beckoned the woman to join them. Teria took hold of Niamh's hand and moved to stand beside her. Neither of them looked perturbed about the fact that they were going for a swim even though they didn't really look decked out for such an endeavor. Living in ice on a frozen planet tends to make one used to getting at least somewhat damp.

"Not sure I'm cut out for a big warhammer, but I'll give a whirl."

She grinned at the bad pun.

Saki moved so she was holding the two of them, mostly to keep them on the platform at the sides as it got smalled and her focus went on it. Then it was going and the jedi master clenched her fists as they were off, letting gravity and the shifting earth propelling them forward increase the speed as she moved her fingers a little bit at a time. Speaking and preparing with a deep breath. "Once we hit the bottom we're going to be flying into the river, take a breath and move towards the caves. We'll take the back way out." She kept it going and then the bottom was coming as the earth rose up and launhed them into the air, Saki tucked her legs in and shouted. "Cannonball."

Niamh Raste, on 11 Sept 2014 - 6:23 PM, said:

"Whooo!"

Niamh was enjoying herself as they sailed back down the mountain. She hadn't had a rush like this one in ages. Last time she'd tried to get an adrenaline rush she'd been given shock therapy instead. Not exactly fun. But now they were sailing down, approaching the water, and she winked at Teria and crouched just a bit while waiting for the precise moment to leap.

She felt it more than anything, and leaped straight off of the little earthen platform, flying through the air all Force enhanced.

"Banzai!"

She hit the water with only a minimal splash, taking a second to adjust her eyes before she started swimming the way she'd been told to go. Somewhere behind her Teria was doing the same.

Saki impacted the water and uncurled her body as she felt her feet touch the bottom, moving towards the caves and near her padawan she was letting her move while she swam there. Never let it be said she wasn't able to get wet teaching her students... that was so terrible she inwardly sighed and continued to swim into the cave pushing until there was flickering light through the clear waters. She came up taking in a gulp of air and kneeling on the stone looking over the pool and cave entrance. The tunnels went on for miles but area's were there for the non aquatic jedi to come and see. Then there were stairs and pathways leading back to the temples through the mountains. "You alright."

Niamh Raste, on 11 Sept 2014 - 7:15 PM, said:

She bobbed to the surface and rolled onto her back, floating away. As she did, she sucked in a few gulps of air and grinned. That had been fun. If she'd known being a Force user was so much fun she might have tried to learn if she was one years ago. She'd always thought it looked like a ton of hard work with a pain in the arse teacher bearing down on you all the time. [member="Saki"] was fun, though.

"Yeah, I'm good," she said, looking over at her Master.

Teria came to the surface and moved closer to them, looking around.

"We came down here to train? It's nice and cool, at least."

Saki looked over at her padawan and stood up nodding her head to that. She removed the vest and started wringing it out while she stood there in a tank top. "Yeah it is a good place to train and private, not many leave the temple training courtyards to actually exploring their world. There is many things they might have been able to find if they had." NOw she was standing there and stomped again while one of the rocks floated up before she kicked it at the wall. "Here we'll work on getting you to use the force and feel it. From yur first breath to creating a base that keeps you standing strong."

Niamh Raste, on 14 Sept 2014 - 8:17 PM, said:

"So, here we're going to work on my control?"

That was good. The better control she had, the more she'd be able to do some of those crazy things that she'd seen people do in the past. Mostly she just wanted to defend herself against things like Force Lightning, and she wanted to kill Sith, though she kept that last bit to herself. Wanting to kill people wasn't really a Jedi emotion. Granted she didn't have any feelings of wanting to grasp the darkside or anything.

"Where do we start?"

She was totally ignoring the fact that she was wet. After all, she'd dry out.

Saki stood there at the ready and smirked to that. She moved over to the girl and grasping her shoulders to position her kicked lightly her feet apart. "Alright stand like this." Saki moved and mirrored the pose her hands in front of her in balled fists, feet apart and she flexed her arms while bringing the energies of the force into a distorted orb of energy. "YOu need to learn to channel the force through your body and into your hands. Forming orbs of energy to throw back and forth is one of the best ways to do it and learn how to adjust yourself. Find what drives you and brings inner peace."

Niamh Raste, on 15 Sept 2014 - 06:18 AM, said:

"Orbs of energy..."

She didn't know that was possible. It was totally awesome, though. Standing the way that [member="Saki"] had physically directed her, she focused on watching what the other woman was doing for the moment. Teria had already assumed the stance and was focusing on moving a ball of something or other back and forth between her hands. The other woman had a bit more know how than Niamh did because she'd known she was a Force user.

For a while Niamh just stood there. Using the Force in her legs had seemed really simple. This wasn't as simple, but she did start to get it as a little ball of energy formed and then flickered away. It took her a bit, but she forced herself to concentrate. Soon enough she had the ball, and was making it bounce back and forth between her hands with ever quickening pace.

Saki, on 15 Sept 2014 - 11:14 AM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki gave a nod of her head to that, she was doing it and watching the two of them as she moved back a little more then sent the energy from between her hands to her padawan to press her focus. "Now focus on it and keep both of them going while you start to do other things. Let your mind wander and see around while maintaining that focus on the task between your hands." A more complicated task but getting her to be able to use the force needed focus and concentration.

Niamh Raste, on 15 Sept 2014 - 1:33 PM, said:

It was hard enough keeping the ball going with [member="Saki"] pressing on her with the Force. Still, she managed it, and started to expand her senses to what was around her at the same time. There was a lot to take in so she quickly shrunk her feeling out to something more close range. She could feel Teria and Saki both. They were strong presences. There were smaller organisms surrounding them as well. She could feel them all. Thankfully, taking it slow meant she didn't lose her control of the ball.

"There's a lot to take in... How do you keep from going crazy?"

Saki, on 15 Sept 2014 - 1:50 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Leep from going crazy? Sometimes Saki thought she already was and she moved forward just a little before shifting to stand behind and besides Niamh. Her hands coming up to her shoulders and chewing her lower lips she spoke . "You just need to practice and find something to focus on, something that can anchor you/ I focus on my... "Saki coughed a little conveniently. "On Hapes and that keeps me sane." Her hands moved while she was looking towards Teria and leaned closer but not to close so her could speak slowly and softly avoiding putting to much energy on her padawan. "Your protector, your master, your family whatever thoughts can keep you from feeling all the pain and terrible things in the universe is worth it."

Niamh Raste, on 15 Sept 2014 - 2:57 PM, said:

When [member="Saki"] rested her hands on her shoulders, Niamh shivered a tiny bit and her expanded senses shrank again. She listened to what the woman had to say about focusing when feeling out, and nodded her understanding. She didn't have any family. Nor did she have a lover or anything. Teria was a good friend and protector, though. Saki was a good teacher, as far as she could tell. She focused on them while expanding her mind outward until she could feel, though she tried hard not to go too far.

"There is so much life here. And peace. Yet I feel emotions from some that are struggling to maintain their identity as well. It is... difficult, to focus on feeling them all while maintaining the orb."

Saki, on 15 Sept 2014 - 3:11 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki gave a nod and kept her hands there moving them down lower until she was holding onto Niamh's hands with the energy suspended. Her chest pressed lightly to her back and spoke. "Then focus on me, use me as your anchor and sift through the emotions of the creatures around the area until you can block them out and focus in. Take your time, there is no way to fail and sometimes it is easier with skin to skin contact."

Niamh Raste, on 16 Sept 2014 - 05:52 AM, said:

That was easier said than done.

"That's... Ok."

She shivered ever so slightly, and the ball nearly flew out of her hands, but she recaptured it and focused. Using [member="Saki"] as her anchor, she felt out around her, feeling further until she could feel the entire planet. She kept the orb going back and forth, her master's hands feeling so calm against her. The rise and fall of her mentors chest relaxing her. She could get used to this kind of training.

"So much life everywhere."

Her mind began expanding off the planet. The defense forces above them. Ships in the vicinity coming in and out. She could feel it all. So much life. A tear rolled down her cheek. She'd never felt anything so wonderful before. A whole new galaxy was upon her. She was kind of overwhelmed.

Saki, on 16 Sept 2014 - 07:03 AM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

See that is what she was talking about, feeling everything could do some things to you and Saki moved her hands to hold the energy just in them and bring it up towards the chest. "Now push the energy outwards and see those stones." She interlaced her fingers to close the left hand over her padawans chest with the energy and reabsorb it while speaking. "Take it back in and use it." Saki moved her head to be right next to Niamh's and guide her lightly to the side with her cheek. The stacked stones in the corner of the room her target while Saki raised her hand. "Focus on lifting them, on wrapping the energy around them and holding them with your grip from here. The distance, the weight is only in your head."

Niamh Raste, on 16 Sept 2014 - 10:03 AM, said:

There were a lot of things going through her head, and it took some serious willpower for Niamh to focus on the stones instead of those other things. The sphere of reach that her mind had expanded to the outside world began to diminish until it was nonexistant and there was only the sphere of the Force between her hands. And there was [member="Saki"] with her cheek against hers, and her hand upon her chest, and some serious warmth growing in places it shouldn't have been but it was. She tried to focus.

The stones. They were there, in front of her. She could see them, almost feel them. The energy between her hands moved to the stones, surrounding them. For a while nothing happened, but she focused as best she could, her chest rising and falling beneath her master's hand.

Ever so slowly, the stones shifted. They didn't fall, they just jiggled a bit. Then the top one lifted, floating slowly upward, followed by the next one and so on until they were all floating. She wasn't sweating, and the risque thoughts in her head had slowly died away as she focused on doing what her Master had asked of her. It felt good to be able to lift it. She was doing things. This was awesome.

Saki's mind with the contact picked up for a moment something but she didn't say a word, just the stiffening of her body and small glide of her thumb. The pad slowly going over the back of the hand as she spoke. "Just like that, keep your focus, hold the stones and move them where you want to with your mind." She slowly moved her arm towards another table the stones could be put down on.

She squeezed her hand a little tighter while pushing in and pouring force energy into the padawan to keep her refreshed and strong. The matukai techniques made for simply always having stamina, always being at the peak of physical readiness to fight and work. That let her stay strong in fights and in some cases resist poisons.... or with enough contact feed that force energy into someone while her head shifted grazing a small line along her cheek before she spoke into her ear.

"Good, remain open, remain focused and once you are done relax."

Niamh Raste, on 16 Sept 2014 - 11:27 AM, said:

You're killing me, Master Saki...

She didn't know it but her words were projected straight to her Master through the Force. She was too focused on moving the stones now that she was being directed to. Of course that focus wavered a bit and the stones dropped just a little bit before rising again. Eventually she got the stones to the table and allowed them to float back down to rest upon it.

When they were settled, she sighed and relaxed, but didn't move. Teria was pretending not to pay attention as she focused on playing with some stones of her own. Niamh couldn't speak. Her words just wouldn't come. She was too focused on [member="Saki"] and her touch.

Saki, on 16 Sept 2014 - 11:47 AM, said:

Saki heard her padawan now and waited until she was finished before bringing her arm around and down. Letting it wrap around her waist and she spoke. "You okay?" She moved around more to stand in front of her padawan and stood as tall as she could. "You are doing well, if at anytime you want to rest tell me. We still have a lot to learn and I haven't even gotten to teaching you how to hold your breath for several hours or put emotions into your voice to project to other people." Saki teased with that, lacing the force along her words like warm fur and honey. "Everything a jedi needs for negotiations."

Niamh Raste, on 16 Sept 2014 - 12:17 PM, said:

She stared wide eyed at [member="Saki"] when she slipped her arm around her waist and then moved around in front of her. There was so much to learn! And yet, there were also her Master's deliciously beautiful lips to stare at as well. And yes, she was staring at them and fighting everything within her that wanted her to make a move. That just wouldn't be proper in the here and now.

Of course the emotion laced words weren't helping matters, and she found herself leaning forward just a bit, her eyes rising to meet her master's, but she caught herself with the barest of whimpers.

"I don't need to rest..."

Saki, on 16 Sept 2014 - 1:09 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki raised her hand from Niamk's chest and brought it to her cheek to trace her jawline and tap the underside of her chin lightly as she whispered. "You're lighter then I thought." Saki flicked her eyes down as she used the air shaped to hover the two of them several feet above the rooms floor. She hand a beskar like grip on her padawan to keep her close and so she wouldn't fall down. A small smirk to turn them around slowly in the air while she spoke. "Then no resting, I want you to push that energy down and float, raise yourself into the air with me."

Niamh Raste, on 16 Sept 2014 - 2:31 PM, said:

Niamh blinked, and nearly fell backwards. This whole teasing thing was really too much. She wanted it so badly. [member="Saki"] was the worst tease ever. Niamh was totally going to get her for this sometime. Teria was just shaking her head as she tried to do what Saki was doing. To her, this was just utter nonsense, but Teria only had an interest in men so that could be why.

Focusing, she tried to make that same ball of energy appear. When it did, she pushed it down below her. Like when she lifted the stones, she envisioned the same thing happening with her. At first nothing happened, but then she had to remember that she needed to assume she was light as a feather. When she did, she started rise, moving back upwards with her Master.

"This is kind of like flying, but without wings and without actually zooming across the sky."

Saki, on 16 Sept 2014 - 3:14 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki looked at her padawan and gave a nod of her head. "Oh zooming across the sky can come in time, like this you'll be able to save yourself from more dangerous falls or get to higher locations when you need to. Or if your like me use it to give you height before you drop down and shockwave the ground in a large group of enemies. It worked on Alderaan before the worm appeared and it can work anywhere." Now Saki was hovering as she got to stand there practiced and ready offering a hand. "Come on just keep focused and trust me and the force. I won't let you fall."

Niamh Raste, on 16 Sept 2014 - 6:24 PM, said:

"I'm not worried about falling. Trust me. I've had worse injuries than a simple fall can dish out."

She chuckled to herself and continued to rise, albeit shakily. This was something of a bother because her control wasn't quite where it needed to be yet. If she relaxed even slightly she would plummet back to the ground, and that would surely cause a large bit of discomfort for her. She didn't particularly care for that discomfort. She'd much rather just have a leisurely float, as it were.

"There are practical ramifications for everything you're teaching me. I've got all new avenues of combat open to me now. It's kind of nice."

A grin was offered to [member="Saki"].

"Can't argue that the company isn't good, either."

Saki, on 16 Sept 2014 - 6:40 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

"No it isn't." Saki stayed there in the air and watched her padawan while she let out a small breath to lower herself and meet the girl. Her body gong a little lower. "There we go now if you fall it can be into my arms. Can't have you getting to banged up your first day. We'll save the real work for later when you are on a mission or dodging my hammer again." Now she was moving and going towards the side of the area monitoring for Niamh to follow. "Plus a little air will help dry you out after I got you all wet."

Niamh Raste, on 17 Sept 2014 - 3:29 PM, said:

Niamh at first put it all behind her. She fell like a rock, just barely catching herself before she slammed into the ground. A sigh of relief and she rose again, but this time she applied the direction of the Force at an angle, and she shot off after [member="Saki"], catching up to her and then zipping around her. She maneuvered using the pressure of the Force, flying around her in a circle before zipping up to the rock ceiling above and then back down.

"Whoo! This is awesome!"

Saki, on 17 Sept 2014 - 4:38 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki held her breath for a moment when Niamk fell and she was about to burst down there and catch her as she looked and saw her catch herself. She flew back up and was getting it as Saki watched her, saw her and laughed a little to that, plenty of things to do while Niamh was zipping around her and Saki went up towards the rock ceiling while she floated there. "Now you are getting it, once you learn to do this on instinct. We will have to work on now getting you to be able to wield a saber while flying."

Niamh Raste, on 17 Sept 2014 - 4:44 PM, said:

"Well I dare say the hardest part will be me making the saber. Jedi still do that, right?"

She wasn't exactly sure about that fact. Still, she figured she could make the saber with ease once she had a crystal. Easy peesy, lemon squeezy. That's what you get for training an Engineer.

"After that it's a cake walk. I've trained with energy swords. Same concept."

Zooming over to [member="Saki"], she stopped just a few inches in front of her.

"I am going to be an awesome Jedi."

Saki, on 17 Sept 2014 - 4:55 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

"We do, but I barely use my saber unless I really have to. It sits in a box with my other equipment." Saki gave a smile while she faced her padawan who thought it would be easy enough. Now that they were alone high in the air of the cave she spoke just floating there. "An awesome jedi indeed but there is more to a jedi then her saber. As much as others tell you it is their life it is merely a symbol and symbols can be confused, they can be broken, they can be corrupted and used for evil deeds." Her hand came out and tapped her chest.

"Being a jedi, any kind of jedi is being willing to do and risk everything to protect the people who will make peace. To live outside others and find truth with your own willpower. Me I found it by embracing those flaws that made me a hothead and a brawler. I embraced that I like avoiding the core worlds and going o the outer territories, I embraced I prefer using a fist over a saber and." Saki moved a little closer while she stretched her arms around. "I embraced that when I get a padawan she would hopefully be someone beautiful and talented I could help mold and develop. Now lets see if you can lift the stones while flying."

Niamh Raste, on 17 Sept 2014 - 5:40 PM, said:

Niamh listened respectfully. What her Master said made sense, but it still left her with more questions than answers. Regardless, she figured the majority of her questions would be answered over time as she learned about being a Jedi. Things don't just instantly happen.

When she was embraced, she returned it.

"For me, I'm a fighter. I can fight with anything: fists or a teacup. Doesn't matter. That's what it means to be a Firedancer. What it means to be Echani. The reason I'm in the Republic is because I despise the Sith and what they stand for. I despise a lack of order because it leaves chaos in its wake. I'm an engineer. I design everything from droids to ships. Most people like me sit on the sidelines. I don't. I can't stand it. It's horribly boring. That's why I'm also a pilot and a ground soldier."

She shrugged and then looked at the stones. Two things at once. Focus, Niamh. [member="Saki"] is giving you a real test here. She took a deep breath and lifted a hand out towards the stones, using that hand as a point of reference. She split her focus: part to keep her up in the air, the other to lift the stones and bring them up near her. She was getting the hang of this now.

Saki, on 17 Sept 2014 - 6:48 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

That was good and Saki moved, her padawan was learning quickly which was good but being a fighter meant facing distractions... facing problems and she smirked. "Very good and we shall see how good of a fighter you are." Saki moved and watched as she focused watching the stones and very softly blew into the force to go around and tickle at Niamh's ear. She was ready to catch or enjoy the time.

Niamh Raste, on 17 Sept 2014 - 7:02 PM, said:

There was a distinct giggle from Niamh. Teria, by this point, had given up on caring. Niamh's ear was rather ticklish, and it was fracking hard to concentrate! Of course, she had the good sense to let her wavering attention fall to the stones rather than allowing herself to fall. That was a good start. She did manage to catch the stones before they hit, and decided to be rather playful, and possible obstinate. She sent the stones flying at @Saki. Might as well see if her Master could keep up three things at once too, right?

Saki, on 17 Sept 2014 - 7:30 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki smiled to that and moved her hands as the stones came, earth shaping making them flatten and as they hit her hands the stones wrapped around her hands into thin gloves while she moved. Grabbing the rocky ceiling and shaping the earth under her hands as she held there. She reached out for her padawan and spoke. "Come here and close your eyes, concentrate and listen to the vibrations through the earth. It is one thing to sense everyone but to feel the world as life moves upon it is something that will teach you how to be patient and wait for just the right moment."

Niamh Raste, on 18 Sept 2014 - 4:46 PM, said:

She knew that [member="Saki"] could do some things with earth, but now she knew more. With what the woman did, Niamh made the decision never to use earth based elements if she ever actually had to fight the woman. Learning came in many forms. She moved over beside the woman and reached out to touch the earth.

Setting her hand against the ground, she concentrated, and felt through the Force into the earth. She could, at first, feel nothing. Then she felt small organisms moving about nearby, then larger ones beyond. Above them someone ran, likely in training. Each little movement, each ping of the ground, created a wave of sound that could tell you everything from location to how fast they were moving to direction of travel.

She smiled at this.

Teria was doing the same below, with slightly less success, but she didn't seem perturbed by it. It took a lot to knock Teria off her groove.

Saki, on 18 Sept 2014 - 5:25 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

There we go, Saki moved so one arm was there and she could share the sensation. Listenign through the earth as her one hand was covered in rock plates for armor and they dropped. "There you go, now you're hearing it. With some work you can feel the vibrations of a world and know when people are coming at you. Works great for cloaked enemies as everyone has to make footsteps usually."

Now she was wondering what else she could teach her from up here... well there was a few things maybe. Her eyes flicked down below and looked at Teria as Saki spoke. "So your bodyguard does she go with you everywhere?" A small raising of her eyebrows and Saki almost pulled a small fissure into the ceiling pulling herself up slowly into it and up towards the top with a small laugh. She made sure there was room in her open arm and plenty of space to just hold the girl if she pressed closer. "Going up."

Niamh Raste, on 18 Sept 2014 - 7:13 PM, said:

"It's kind of her job. I'm slightly important back on Eshan, so they don't want me to die, and that nearly happened not long ago. Twice, actually."

She waved a hand towards Teria, who looked up as they started to move into the fissure in the ceiling. Teria indicated that she would follow soon enough and Niamh nodded before climbing upward and into the stone crevice with @Saki. Tight places with a hottie. Talk about a place to turn up the heat! Of course she couldn't help but be pressed near the woman.

"The Rogue Jedi Order was started on Eshan not long ago. Their Grandmaster could make himself invisible."

Saki, on 18 Sept 2014 - 7:54 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Ah well that was good mostly because if she was important she had some good schooling and would be able to follow orders as she continued through the earth and stopped for a moment just holding her padawan there. A foot digging into the earth and shifting it, shaping it until she had almost her own molded wall to lean on and look closely. "I see, well I can't go invisible but I can do other things. The real question is padawan... with that quickening of your breath and heart will you be able to handle yourself when we're alone pressed together covered in sweat after lessons? I need to trust you're not going to jump my bones in the shower or while we sleep." She said the last with a smirk more so because small ships, tight quarters and she only had so much stamina.

Niamh Raste, on 19 Sept 2014 - 3:00 PM, said:

They stopped and she looked around the tiny space, wondering what it was that [member="Saki"] had planned. Kind of a tight squeeze and she wasn't a shaper by any means. Doing something with her surroundings wasn't likely to happen. And then Saki spoke and Niamh frowned just a tad. What her Master said was a bit hurtful, though she knew that the woman didn't mean to hurt her feelings.

"I wouldn't do anything without asking. Even though I want to. You needn't worry. You're attractive but I can hold myself together. I promise."

Saki, on 19 Sept 2014 - 4:24 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Dammit so close The thought in her head remained just there in her head. She had almost been hoping her padawan was going to try right then and there if only to take some fo the heat off. "Well that is nice to hear and hey when the moment comes and we're someplace nice with all the things needed... maybe." She stayed right there and only leaned her head in a little. "While it might not be wholly proper I am usually in my ship on the outer rim and not being bothered and there are few things worth fighting for in this war."

Niamh Raste, on 19 Sept 2014 - 4:37 PM, said:

"There are always things worth fighting for."

She smiled and reached out her hand to just lightly touch [member="Saki"]'s cheek, so long as she didn't back away or anything. Of course, the thought of it not being proper was completely dismissed.

"It's nonsense that it's not proper. It's only not if you believe it's not and I don't. I like women. Always have. Nothing wrong with it. I don't care to have kids anyways. Besides, women are more sensual and better partners."

Saki, on 19 Sept 2014 - 5:06 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Not quite what she had meant but her padawan was right about that. Before she had become a master hell before she had become a knight she had easily run through the padawan dorms on Coruscant and Tython like Coci had. "Well less you and more master with padawan. It has happened before and it is something usually frowned on though... I am not a normal master compared to others." She nuzzled the hand on her cheek feeling a level of comfort with that.

Niamh Raste, on 19 Sept 2014 - 6:16 PM, said:

"Sometimes it's good to be different."

Niamh shrugged and kept brushing the cheek for as long as she could. [member="Saki"] seemed to be enjoying it, which is what she was going for anyway. That said, she wasn't about to stop unless Teria magically showed up or something. Speaking of which, the woman was taking her sweet time. Maybe she was just giving them a little space?

"I'm not going to lie to you, the nature of regular Jedi befuddles me. I think my mentality leans more towards being a Rogue, so might as well be rogue with you, too. So if you take it that way, the nonsense about Master's not being involved with Padawans can go away. Besides, I won't be a Padawan forever. I hope."

Well she could see herself a little roguish, sticking it in someone from behind and smiling now while she enjoyed the touch just moved them shaping the earth so she and Niamh were pressed closer and her arm went around her padawan. Shaping the earth until they were rising on a platform almost with her other hand coming down. "Well you can always be my padawan if you want o keep calling me master in that sultry voice. I could see getting a little wild and odd with you on those long trips around the galaxy."

Niamh Raste, on 20 Sept 2014 - 08:29 AM, said:

Niamh curled herself up against [member="Saki"] and nestled against her just a bit as they held one another. She didn't care that they were starting to move again. It felt nice to find a woman that actually didn't mind her attentions. That seemed rare for her these days.

"I don't mind it as long as you don't mind enduring a little spotlight now and then since I own a major tech company."

"Oh I think I can handle that, just another arena is all." Saki just held her padawan closer now and as they came out on the top of the area overlooking the river and near the temple she squinted for a moment as the light stung her eyes for a moment. Her arms coming away for a moment and sliding down to Niamh's hands before she looked around. "Good positioning, we are near the hangers and can get your stuff to move it onto the ship. Then i can teach you how to use a saber."

Niamh Raste, on 20 Sept 2014 - 2:28 PM, said:

"Well, good."

They drew upwards, coming out of the ground. Niamh also squinted as [member="Saki"] lowered her hands to hers. She took hold of them and gave them a squeeze. As her eyes adjusted to where they were, she saw Teria standing not far off, watching them. Apparently she hadn't waited around while Niamh and Saki had stopped for a chat.

"Hopefully you two will stop beating around the bush now," Teria said. "Maybe we can get back to training."

"Oh hush. You're just jealous."

"Not really."

Niamh shook her head and looked back to the hangar.

"Let's go!"

Saki, on 20 Sept 2014 - 4:43 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki looked over at Teria and smirked to that while she moved going towards the hanger and the Defender-class light corvette sitting there painted purple and white. Well dark plum purple but it looked good as her equipment had been brought back and was sitting on its sled under the ramp. Saki opened up the ramp and brought it in as she spoke. "Alright there is the rooms for crew and guests, mine is across from it. There is a small crate of equipment mainly some Champion jedi armor for protection if you need it. Some training sabers as well."

Saki was more moving towards the cargo hold and her case was in there as she opened it taking Skirn and Skaldi rods out. One was her staff and the other her saber while she clipped them to her belt. The Breaker Armor with her The Accused hammer rested there just waiting to be used as she spoke pulling from another rack a training saber. "Alright the color won't matter for now and ti will take some time to fully learn but this weapon is not your life it is a powerful tool. Something to be respected." Saki held the training saber out as she closed the box.

Niamh Raste, on 20 Sept 2014 - 4:51 PM, said:

Niamh followed. When the armor was pointed out, she moved swiftly to it, analyzing it under the eye of someone trained in armor design, amongst other things. She'd just been designing a flight suit/combat armor set for the Wraiths, so this was interesting to her. She kind of liked it. On operations where she wasn't acting as a Wraith, it might be nice to have a set of this armor for herself.

She quickly stripped down, not caring that anyone was watching, and climbed into an appropriately sized set of the armor.

"Pliant, strong, good flexibility." She flexed her arms and then plucked at the armor. "Nice all around design, under the circumstances. Good light armor."

She didn't put the helm on for the moment, but instead walked over to [member="Saki"] and took the training saber. Pointing it away, she thumbed the activation and extended a purple blade. Not the worst color. Weight was familiar, slightly different.

"Quite like an energy blade. Slight difference. Feels familiar, though."

Saki, on 20 Sept 2014 - 5:14 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki looked at the training saber and smirked to that. The armor was to light in her opinion but then when she was fighting or running she could lift speeders and throw them like on Alderaan or Empress Teta. She stood tall now and grabbed one of the rods from her hip and flipped it over in her hand for a moment. "It is good armor, very light but can be helpful. Weight until I get you on Carida with armor like mine." Now she had a smirk and the saber activates with a pale purple blade that was very focused and thinner for tracking and slashing. "Alright the most basic stance is the jedi ready, both hands on the blade, feet apart and planted with the blade in front of you tilted forty five degrees."

Niamh Raste, on 20 Sept 2014 - 5:25 PM, said:

"Standard sword stance. I know it well."

She quickly assumed it, and then she shifted into a more mobile, one handed stance, holding the blade more like a rapier than a claymore or longsword. This felt comfortable to her, though she could wield it in several various methods if she needed to.

"I just finished the design for a combat flight suit that should serve me well in most combat situations. Have to get it produced, though."

She shrugged. Teria was just watching them. She didn't need weapons training as she always carried an energy blade anyways.

"Let's spar. Best way of training for fighting."

A wink at [member="Saki"].

Saki, on 20 Sept 2014 - 6:24 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki looked at her padawan and smirked as she spoke. This was good she knew the basics but sabers weren't blades... okay they were but the lack of weight and ability to cut from any angle were different. That was what padawans had to learn as she held the blade and brought it low to the floor resting the hilt near her hip and pointed down. Saki rarely if ever used her blade and so putting the power settings as low as she could and running a thumb gently over the second hidden emitter she moved forward bringing the blade up in a reverse grip to try and slash from Niamh's right hip to her left shoulder.

Niamh Raste, on 20 Sept 2014 - 6:47 PM, said:

Niamh just smiled. The weapon felt very much like an energy sword, though slightly heavier and with a longer reach, like an Echani Foil, but with more blade potential than a traditional blade. She was certain that she would be alright using a lightsaber.

As [member="Saki"] came at her, Niamh put her blade into a downward motion as she spiraled her body in the same direction as her masters movement. Her blade connected with Saki's in a kinetic hiss and popping flash, deflecting it just enough to keep it from striking her body, but not putting enough Force into it to completely stop her Master's motion, so that she couldn't easily reverse.

The twirling movement she'd made was to get around and make it so she could snap a kick at the side of Saki's knee, an attempt at causing it to buckle and potentially bring the woman down. Niamh didn't just fight with the weapon in her hand. She was a weapon herself.

Saki, on 20 Sept 2014 - 9:40 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki had the same idea as her padawan, the momentum of the strike pushing her into a swing as she brought her leg around and up with the force behind it to sweep at Niamh's one leg. Then she felt the strike to her knee and it buckled going forward into the flooring with her spin. The clothing she was wearing offering jean level of protection. She brought her saber around to go with the sweep and try for a strike to the shoulder of her padawan.

Niamh Raste, on 21 Sept 2014 - 06:31 AM, said:

Success! Partially! Her leg was swept out from under her, but she'd managed to connect with [member="Saki"]'s knee as well, which was a good start to things. Of course, as she fell, she saw her master's blade was coming at her again. So, as she fell she brought her blade into both hands and around to catch her master's before it could connect with her, using her strength this time instead of her speed. Then she directed a Force push at Saki, intending to send her flying away.

Saki, on 21 Sept 2014 - 09:01 AM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki felt the strength from her padawan as she blocked the blade and pushed at her. Sending her across the floor as Saki kicked her feet out letting the air around her feet accelerate and Saki kicked a burst of the air with shaping in a distorted ball while she went towards her case. Rolling backwards and into a crouch while she held the saber in one hand leaping into the air as she came for a falling leaf overhead strike.

Niamh Raste, on 21 Sept 2014 - 11:23 AM, said:

Twist legs, flip back to knees. Assess.

[member="Saki"] had managed to right herself. Now she was flying through the air and coming down from above. Tricky. Not much time to react. Flex.

She shifted, using the Force the way that she'd been taught to do so. She skidded off to the side and away from the attack, twisting to her feet as she did so. Rising, she gripped her training saber with both hands, and brought it in a slash at her Master's falling form, a move that would normally cut someone in half with a real saber.

Saki, on 21 Sept 2014 - 2:12 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

Saki looked at her padawan moving as she landed and the second blade activated. A small surprise she had put into the saber hilt. A single length double blade like kun had while she moved it very little to protect her side and back. Saki deactivated the one blade and pusshed off to the side as she crouched low and held the blade out with a nod of her head. "There you go, thinking on your feet, determined and with a strong footing." Her smirk came as Saki stomped one foot forward with a force burst coming from her hand directed towards her padawans feet to try and knock her down.

Niamh Raste, on 21 Sept 2014 - 2:30 PM, said:

Blades collided in a hiss and crackle as Niamh stared [member="Saki"] down. Of course then she got hit with the burst of Force energy that took her to the ground with a thud, landing on her back and nearly cracking her skull. Right about then she wished she'd actually put on the helmet that came as part of the set of armor. No matter, though. She was too busy for that.

Instead, she focused on using her position to her advantage. Saki had taught her how to make a ball of energy with the Force. This she created, but not between her hands. Instead, she made it beneath the woman and attempted to use it to propel her Master up and into the ceiling.

Saki, on 21 Sept 2014 - 4:37 PM, said:

[member="Niamh Raste"]

That was unexpected, Saki was focused on her padawan and fighting that she hadn't noticed the energy at her feet as she went up into the air. Losing that ground of her own until she was focusing and pushing back at the energy with her own. Saki rested a hand on the ceiling and tucked her legs in while she gripped the groves with her fingers and swung a little to come at her padawan again as she crouched low and used the saber to slash quickly to try and strike Niamh's hands.

Niamh Raste, on 21 Sept 2014 - 4:43 PM, said:

Her lightsaber flashed in a dance, just a little bit slower than [member="Saki"]'s practiced hands. She narrowly avoided having her hands hit, but she still managed it. A sigh of relief whooshed out of her lungs as she twisted in an attempt to grab her Master's torso with her legs and flip her to the ground. She knew her Master could recover from most things, and she knew that Saki was strong, but it was time to test her ground game against that of a Jedi Master. Sometimes fights just got dirty like that.

Saki, on 21 Sept 2014 - 10:09 PM, said:

Saki felt Niamh wrap and bring her down as she grunted. The saber deactivating while she focused on the force and her skin became rigid, became solid. Matukai techniques for soft to solid to make natural armor and she was pushing down to pin her padawan with her hips now. A small look in her eyes while force energy shimmered under the skin to make it like iron and give her some weight to her ground game. "Oh some wrestling now this I like." Saki's hands moved fast and quick going for her padawan's to pin her to the floor at each of her limbs.

Niamh Raste, on 22 Sept 2014 - 2:40 PM, said:

Pinned. Drat. Of course, she just smiled and went limp as soon as [member="Saki"] went for her appendages. If she stayed taught, she'd be unable to move at all and the fight would be over, which was the opposite of what she wanted. Unless of course Saki wanted to make out in which case she was alright with losing. But, she wanted to beat her Master, which was why she'd gone limp in the first place. It gave her flexibility.

That flexibility allowed her to shimmy closer in an attempt to put her arm around Saki's head and neck, flexing her arm around with the looseness she'd afforded herself. It was an awkward position, but if it worked... well, if it worked, it would be awesome.

Saki, on 23 Sept 2014 - 07:44 AM, said:

Saki felt it, that pressure of arms around her head and she was closer now. Arms moving so she was holding herself up with her hips pinning at Niamh, then she was moving her arms pushing herself up. so she was standing with the force and went for the wall to slam her padawan into it wrapping her arms around her hips to keep her in place. Her head more focused on locking eyes with her padawan and hoping with the impact she'd loosen enough to close that final distance and claim her mouth. Few actually tried to take her in a fight but this was a good time to let everything out..

Niamh Raste, on 23 Sept 2014 - 2:48 PM, said:

Well it worked, and then [member="Saki"] was standing up with her wrapped around her still. That was pretty darn impressive if she did say so herself. Of course, that standing then resulted in her getting slammed into the wall, reminding her yet again that she hadn't put the helm on that was part of the suit. She would wear it next time.

Pain wracked her, and she loosened her grip, only to find Saki kissing her rather than pressing her advantage. Niamh was alright with this, and she returned the kiss after a moment, her body sighing in relief.

Saki claimed those lips and she pressed herself to the woman making sure she had her padawan in her arms before she was bringing her head back and a tremor was in her lip. She moved her hands from the hips and just wrapped them around the woman's waist as she backed away from the wall. "Well now it looks like you have more skills then I thought. So where would you like to go first? The ship and its owner are at your... ideas. Who knows what we could find in the galaxy or how we can continue your training."

Mmm. She liked the kisses. They were good. Why did they have to end?

"Well.... Shouldn't I build my own saber? I know it's kind of a Jedi tradition. Means we need to go to a planet where I can find a good crystal or two."

She moved back to her own feet, unwrapping herself from [member="Saki"] and then dusting herself off as she released her. Teria looked up from where she was sitting staring at the ceiling. Now that the fighting and the girlish enthusiasm was over she seemed to be taking an interest in things.

"Time to travel, then?"

Saki looked at Teria and gave a nod while she didn't really want to move. Going off to construct a saber was important for a jedi. She could go to Ilum, she could go and look through the caves but there were other better places while she smirked. She knew where to take her and it was somewhere to get a crystal that would be beautiful. "Yeah travel time and if you get a chill I'll be right there." Saki moved now her hand lingering on Niamh's hip for a time but pushing off while she let her enjoyment of the last few moments and taste of the woman stay in her mind.

"Set course for Rhen Var, there are caves there not touched by thousands of jedi and we can find you the crystal for your blade." Saki walked through the corridors leading towards the cockpit while the pilot droid set the course and was leaving for them. Her case with equipment back where it belonged in her room with the bunks across made for well lets be honest most likely it would be Teria's room most of the time. Niamh might be with her for private lessons and she would let Teria see to any improvements to protect her charge. "So whenever you are ready we can begin there might be private very important lessons."

Mr. OOC

"Never been to Rhen Var."

Niamh grinned a bit. Teria rolled her eyes and ran a hand through her hair. Sometimes her charge was just overly annoying. Other times she was great. To be honest, Teria loved working with Niamh, but when she got all giddy for another woman it became super hard on her. She didn't like that kind of thing herself, and she couldn't be in the room when Niamh enjoyed herself. It was too weird. So instead, she settled in where she was.

On the other hand, Niamh was all excited about getting her own saber. And [member="Saki"] mentioned private lessons. This got a lofted brow.

"Private lessons, eh? What kind of private lessons? And how long does it take to get to Rhen Var?"

Wellllllll if they went the quick way not that long the safe routes could get them there fairly quickly.... If they went the long way. "Quickest travel time is ten hours, longest is a day and there are some skills I have been taught that few jedi really learn to focus. Matukai techniques for near infinite stamina and endurance, how to purify the body and become immune to poisons and booze." She gave a wink for that and grin. She had used that t out drink a mandalorian or two... or three. You never knew when some skills would come in handy. "We'll take the safer way there on the routes so we can have plenty of time to rest up and Teria I am going to make sure to get a smile from you... Somehow someway someday you will laugh."

"Don't count on it. I'm too serious to smile."

Ok, that was a joke, but even then she didn't smile. The only reason she wasn't smiling, though, was because she felt a bit uncomfortable around the two of them. She was liking the training and all, but her charge and their Master were a bit too friendly for her liking. It just made her feel like the third wheel instead of the second wheel. Not that she wasn't used to it, but this time seemed different.

Niamh waved a hand at Teria as she grinned at [member="Saki"].

"She doesn't like girls the way I do. She's probably just grossed out right now. But anyway, teach me. I want to learn."

"Well then we shall just have to find someone she can spend time with won't we." Oh there were some ideas she didn't think about who though more the idea of training came and she thought about where to begin. "Alright but first we're going to have to get you wet... For training purposes of course. This skill is able to dry you off quickly and allow you to stay warm or if it is needed drop your body temp to protect yourself." Saki held a smile on her face while the ship was heading towards the Planet. "It is called convection and not many jedi know how to use it."

Teria could only facepalm at the idea of getting Niamh wet. See? This is why she didn't like this situation. Too much sexual innuendo.

Niamh on the other hand had first been thinking about that as innuendo, and then was only slightly disappointed when she found it wasn't. Bugger. Of course she was willing to get wet, but she didn't want the armor she was wearing to get soaked, so she stripped down, right in front of the other two, and set the armor aside, leaving her mostly in her skivvies. She went and put on a shirt and pants from her things, but she kept it simple. No sense messing with her uniform.

"Alright. Where's the fresher so I can get soaked?"

"We'll ah be back in a bit, go and make sure everything is to your liking this is your place as well Teria." Saki was moving and only taking off enough so she didn't get all of her close wet and soaked. She didn't want to be standing there trying to teach with a wet shirt is was hard to be taken seriously while she spoke in the room. "Alright go and get nice and soaked then stand near me." Saki crossed her arms and focused on the force for it to make herself burn a little hotter so the water splashing her steamed.

Teria just shook her head and settled in for the moment. Wandering around wasn't likely a good idea, in her mind. She was going to take a bit to rest, and then MAYBE she would go look around the ship, and find out who was flying this boat.

Niamh swiftly moved after [member="Saki"], entering the room with her and going into the fresher. She got herself all nice and soaked, to the point where even though the water was warm she felt like she was freezing. It was almost worse than being on Eshan and all wet. That wasn't fun, by the way. It sucked terribly. But anyway, now that she was all wet and cold, she stepped out, shivering, and looked at Saki for instruction.

Saki gave a nod as she stood there and brought her hands out to touch with warmer hands. "Alright just like with everything I showed you, this is about the energy you take it. Breathing deep as you take it into your core and use it to warm your body. Then push it more, the air above your skin let it get excited and heat you up until it feels like your body is running a fever." Saki Stood there and had her arms crossed while she held her hands over Niamh's skin just barely. "Feel it here." Her finger pointed and went outwards. "Then make it go all around."

Like before. Energy within. She pondered this as she stood there shivering. She'd made the energy bubble before. She'd used that bubble to do other things. Now she was being told that same energy could heat her when she was cold, or cool her when she was hot. That seemed crazy, and yet she believed it implicitly. Strange how things work when [member="Saki"] is around. She wasn't even questioning things based on the science of it not being sound.

Closing her eyes, she concentrated on the Force, drawing it to her and feeling it within her. She let it grow, radiating outward. She made the molecules in her skin, and the molecules in the air around her vibrate. Well, at first she tried to make them do that and nothing happened, but eventually started to get it. A little spot of warmth. Then another. And another. Those spots grew, melded together, and then she started to feel warm. Too warm, but warm all the same. She stopped shivering. This was amazing.

Saki stood there and her hands went onto her padawan's shoulders while she felt the heat and smirked a bit. "There you go, see just like I can get you wet in a fresher or river I can get you into heat." Now she winked to that and moved so she was embracing her padawan just looking at the lily white skin and hair. "I do have to wonder though, you are able to tan right?" She was more curious but standing there right now she was glad for them both to be warm here. They could now be on Rhen Var buck naked and never really have to feel the cold a bit... or they could go and tan on Mustafar without breaking a sweat.

She snickered at what [member="Saki"] said. The woman was almost as bad as she was. That she liked. Great for her, though, to have a Master that actually got it, but that also happened to like her on a physical and intimate level. She felt more comfortable with her than she was certain she would with any other Master.

Then she brought up tanning and Niamh frowned.

"No, we burn. Our skin isn't made for tanning. We repel most things because it's so light, but we do burn. It's not much fun, either. Tends to be severe."

"Oh this is nice and much more comfortable I must say." Saki was smiling now just looking at a mirror and breathing in the scent of her padawan.

"We have a sister race, Echani that aren't white-skinned, that are darker. They tan. But they're kind of evil, too."

She shrugged, and then felt [member="Saki"] wrap her arms around her, and curl into her back. This brought a contented sigh from the young Echani woman. She moved her hands to envelope her Master's, brushing against them lightly as they stood there holding each other. Oh how she'd missed this kind of touch. It had been too long.

"I am glad I bumped into you the way I did. Life would suck otherwise."

Saki just enjoyed it and was chuckling to that. "Yeah this day would be boring if I hadn't met you by swinging my big thing in your face." Yep that was what she could say while stepping into the fresher herself to clean up the sweat. Plenty of time passing just holding her padawan while she got cleaned and stood there drying herself off with the force. A blade shaving her long hair off that still smelled from Alderaan and the worm so she was bald once again. She looked at her padawan and the idea of darker skinned Echani was well.... bah it wasn't as good she liked this little slice of white meat and got a towel while she started to walk. "I guess you should be Tarak, he is the one flying this bucket."

While [member="Saki"] went to clean up, she flopped down on the bed and lay there, her shirt slightly risen to show her beautiful toned stomach. Not that she cared that it was on display. She was more intent on staring at the ceiling and relaxing for a bit. Of course it wasn't long before the woman returned and she sat up on the bed. A curious eyebrow lifted at the mention of someone flying the ship. She'd been wondering about that. She'd almost hoped the pilot was a droid.

"You have a personal pilot? That's intriguing. What's he like? Can we set Teria up with him? She could use a good rub down."

"He also usually doesn't leave here or if he does he is the quietest person ever." She grinned to that and got a smile in return. "Well Saki it is good to see your friends but I should warn you.. The outpost on Rhen Var I think was abandoned or they forgot about it. I am getting no signal from it, and we should be there soon." Mostly cause the writer forgot galactic placement and Rhen Var is right next to ossus almost.
