Ilsoon Jul is the previous Governor of Urrdorf City and is now a Senator for the Planet of Cato Neimoidia in the High Republic. Although some may think it's unusual for a Duro to hold the Senate position, Jul so far has proved himself to be a respectable representative. But is that really the case?

BIOGRAPHY
Ilsoon Jul spent years governing Urrdorf City, building a reputation as a practical leader focused on trade and commerce. That life ended when the Galactic Empire expanded into the sector and pushed him out of power.
Hoping to restart his political career, Ilsoon aimed for the Senate seat representing his homeworld of Duro within the High Republic. When he arrived, he found the position was already filled. Instead of walking away empty-handed, he caught a lucky break.
The leaders of Cato Neimoidia needed a Senate representative without ties to the Trade Federation. As a Duros the genetic cousins of Neimoidians with extensive administrative experience and a clean reputation, he was the natural choice to represent them in the halls of power.
Now serving in the Senate around 904 ABY, Ilsoon navigates a strange position. Many view a Duros representing Cato Neimoidia as unusual, a feeling made worse by his uncanny visual resemblance to Commodore Edwim Voocil.
PERSONALITY
Ilsoon Jul is a calculated individual, proud and motivated by a desire to regain the status he lost during the rise of the Empire. The loss of Urrdorf City has deeply affected him; he despises feeling powerless and compensates by trying to dominate every space he enters. Although he presents himself as smooth and collected, his arrogance sometimes reveals itself through sharp sarcasm directed at his political rivals.
Even with his pride, Ilsoon is not corrupt. He truly believes that strong, business-savvy leadership is essential for the safety of ordinary citizens. His main weakness is his ego; he tends to think he is the smartest strategist in the room, which makes him hesitant to accept advice. His development comes from learning to trust his allies rather than viewing everyone as mere chess pieces.
Due to his resemblance to Commodore Voocil, Ilsoon frequently faces rumors about his true origins or hidden connections. He cleverly uses this speculation to his advantage, allowing others to guess his next move while he concentrates on economic policy and broadening his influence.
