I'll fly to the ends of the galaxy...

I am a son of the Mountain.

Location: Nar Shadaa
Objective: Recruitment

"Welcome to the Imperial Starfight Corp....Where you can be sent to the most armpit of a hellhole the galaxy has ever seen. Think that's a good slogan?" Dominic called over his commlink to the rest of his squad. He was met with a mixture of chuckles from his squadmates.

"Come on L.T., Command already said they can't find us a new replacement for our squadron, so what the hell are we doing out here?" Lucky, a catty female from Corellia asked with a great deal of distaste.

"Look, we have two weeks of R&R and we're using it to find a new member for our squadron. We lucked out not being assigned some snot nosed rookie straight out of the academy the first time, I guarantee we won't be so lucky again." Dom said, as they hovered over Nar Shadaa.

Lucky and Radar did not argue with the man, instead they merely pulled their TIE Predators in tow behind his, making their way down towards the planet.

"So what's your plan boss? Just set up a big karking sign in the middle of the Promenade saying, "help wanted." Radar, a well built man with a thick outer-rim accent called out.

"Not exactly. I have a friend in Imperial Intelligence who keeps me upraised of all the up and coming pilots, a kind of whose who of starfighter jockies. Well he leaked me the name of some hotshot pilot who used to be with the First Order. Last thing we have on her is she was hanging around this dump."

The trio of fighters broke through the atmosphere of the planet, making their way down towards Nar Shadaa's promenade district.

"I don't know boss, I don't think messing with some First Order reject is the best way to get our squad back up." Lucky commented.

Dominic was too busy messing with the control panel of his fighter to give an immediate response, once he finally did he replied by pulling his helmet off and setting it to the side. "When we get planet side I'll show you her record, then maybe you'll change your mind." He stated.

Where do all good soldiers go when they are forgotten? Into the dark and away from sight where no one knows them or would even care....for Sara it felt like a vacation almost doing the odd jobs jere and there after she was rescued and dropped off here...nar shadda...she became a pilot for hire her skills earning her lots of credits

In fact, she had just got back from a job, she went straight to go get a drink...a bar that she had gotten to know very very well...the dancing hutt...despite it's name it did not have dancing hurts thankfully

She took up her spot at her normal table, blaster at her side as she got her normal round of whisky to drink propping her legs up...just another day

I am a son of the Mountain.
"Ok we got about four hours before someone reports on their being a squad of Imperial fighters docked on Nar Shadaa." Dominic said, leaning his back against his starfighter. The group had successfully landed in the Promenade and were currently changing out of their flight suits and into their officer's uniforms.

"Yea, when that happens I think we'll want to be far away from here." Lucky commented, rolling his hair into a tight, yet make-shift, bun. "Don't you think laying low would be the better thing to do, L.T.?" She asked.

Dominic shook his head, a smile forming on his face while he laced his boots up. "Oh hell no, this will be much more fun." After tucking his flight suit into the rear compartment of his ship he pulled his patrol cap on top of his head and popped his comm link into his ear.

"Listen up. She frequents a bar nearby, I'm going to go and try to find her, you two stay here with the ships and make sure you don't break any damn thing....or person." He said, shifting his gaze to Radar, the rather large human chuckling at his words. "You got it, sir."

Dominic turned from the landing pad, making his way into the inner workings of the promenade. His hands clasped behind his back as he moved about he was most obviously an Imperial officer, the thing about Dominic was he didn't much care about being inconspicuous. In his mind the Empire stood for peace and order, two things the galaxy was in desperate need of, if anyone had anything to say to that he had a lovely new blaster that could offer a rebuttle.

It didn't take him long at all to reach The Dancing Hutt, not long at all. Once he made it inside he glanced at the crowd that seemed to inhabit the establishment. Smugglers, bounty hunters, mercenaries, spice runners, just about anything you could think of was represented in this place. His eyes continued to look over the room until finally he saw what he was looking for. "Scar over the left eye." He muttered, confirming the identity of the woman he searched for.

Dom made his advance on the bar, adjusting the blaster on his side, just in case things got rowdy. Once he finally made it to the counter he took a seat beside the woman, tapping the bar to alert the bardroid. The droid spun around, a cheerful voice spiking up as it looked over Dom. "Get you something to drink, sir?"

"No...I'm here to get my hyperdrive checked..." Dominic said, sarcasm leaking from his tone. However, the droid could not decipher the difference and merely stared at the man blankly.

"Shot of whisky, Corellian ale, and get my friend here a refill on what she's drinking. On me." He said, turning to the table where Sara sat oh so comfortably. The droid placed the three items on the bar, allowing Dominic to pull out a credit chit and toss it on the counter. "Keep the change rustbucket." He said, turning to Sara's table, with his drinks in hand.

He set down a glass of whiskey in front of the woman before sitting across from her with a rather comfortable expression on his face. "Can't stand droids. They think they know everything. I can out mix, out fly, and out think one of those scraps any day of the week." A natural conversationist Dominic coaught himself, taking down his shot of whiskey before looking to the woman with a small chuckle.

"My name's Dom, Sara? Am I right?" He said, asking her name while his smile widened.

This was the life, she had no worries rent was paid up, she had food and drinks, and enough credits to fix her speeder....yea life seemed pretty good for washed up pilot

Howecer that seemed to change a bit, she noted the change in atmosphere once the imperial officer walked on in. Her hand stealthily went to the blaster pistol she had beside her...didnt look first order....in any case she was not liking it...even more so that he made a straight line for her table ordering himself something along side more for her

She didn't changed position at all, however she watched him sit and pointed her blaster under the table as she took a drink then sighed before speaking out calmly

first off, I wouldnt do anything stupid, I have a blaster aimed for your mid section, second your gonna explain how you know me and why your hear...id speak carefully because on the records I'm MIA...

Her expression didn't change but her voice carried that warning tone

I am a son of the Mountain.
How often had Dominic found himself held at blaster-point by a beautiful woman? Too many times, surely. At least this time it was for a valid reason, at least he hoped that was the case. The man moved slowly, not trying to set off any alerts in the woman's mind that merited him being shot in the gut. He pulled his patrol cap off and set it on the table in front of them, sliding the full glass of whiskey over to her before downing his own shot.

His face contorted for a moment from the sting of the alcohol before he set the glass back on the table, clearing his throat. "Put the blaster down, sweetheart. I'm not here to hurt you." He explained.

"Also, I realize the uniforms are rather similar but I'm not one of those mindless drones from the First Order. Lieutenant Dominic Crowley Jr. at your service. Leader of Phantom Squadron." He said, a proud expression crossing over him as he gestured to the woman.

"Anyway let's fast forward to the reason I'm here? Ok? Ok." He slowly leaned to the side, revealing his sidearm. "I'll even keep things easy for you." He removed the weapon and placed it on the edge of the table, slightly out of his reach. Of course he had another blaster tucked into his boot just in case but there was no reason to worry about such things.

"Now. Obviously I'm an Imperial Officer. Imperial Starfighter officer to be exact, and my crew is running a little light these days. So we have two options. Either we accept some wet nose from the academy that can't tell a jamming unit from a radio, or we branch out and find some....talent."

He gestured to the woman while taking a hold of his glass of ale. "You, my friend, are the talent."

"The Galactic Empire is looking to bring you in. I can guarantee you protection from the First Order if they ever come looking for you, housing, base pay, and your own fighter." Dom negotiated. "All you have to do is three things. One, fly with my squadron, two, follow my orders, and three, don't put a hole in my abdomen. What do you say hot stuff?"

fine I'll put it down right by me where I had it, no further

Her blaster sat down as she looked over at him, she still was poised ready if need be...eyes calculating and watching carefully as she listened and nodded. She took a sip of her drink not seemingly bothered by the strong liquid as she nodded rubbing her chin

I'll give you this dom, your one brave man to approach me if you know who I am and what I can exactly do

She took a long drink and put the glass down as she chuckled and stared him down for a minute then spoke

I'll tell you what, put me as second in command of your squadron and I will join. I can guarantee one that you won't regret it and two you'll see my skills in action...

She had a smirk setting back another drink in hand and taking a drink of it

There was a moment of relief when the woman put her weapon to the side. He nodded at her words, bringing his ale back into his hands so he could take a rather generous sip from the glass.

"What can I say? I like to play the game to win, that sometimes involves bringing in some new teammates." He added.

When she said she would join on the grounds of being made second in command the pilot took a moment of pause, his smile turning into a contemplative expression. "Second in command?" He repeated.

Lucky had been his second in command ever since Dominic made Lieutenant, and while she wasn't ideal she had been loyal. For him to betray her like that would definitely be received negatively, plus she had warmed the man's bed enough times for him to not want to piss her off. The man ran a hand over his hair before exhaling softly.

"Damn, you're putting me in a tight spot here sweetheart." He commented, tapping the side of the table with a humorless chuckle. "You better bring me some wings." He said, holding his hand out towards her to be shaken. "Welcome to Phantom Squadron, Flight Officer."

She sat back, she chuckled hearing him repeat her words as she simply offered a nod taking a nice long drink from her glass before she put the drink down watching him extend his hand as she thought for a minute on his words

Waa she heartless for putting the man in such a position? Probably but she wasn't letting her skills be put to waste not if it meant getting back in the saddle once more. So the morale side of her bowed out as she took his hand and shook it

if they can survive with how I train you'll get plenty in no time, now then shall we be off I wish to see your squadron and let them know who's second in command now

She stood, she was a bit....well short for someone of her attitude. She picked he rblaste rip and sheathed it before she looked to him motioning to lead

I am a son of the Mountain.
Dominic chuckled at her words before running a hand over his bare chin. "Careful, my team has some talent, we're not as helpless as you might think." He said, standing in unison with her, making his way to the door. He paused before glancing back to his drink and taking it into his hands. Dominic was far from a drunk, yet he was also far from a sober man. He took the drink and led the way out of the cantina, sipping the ale before glancing back at her.

"Come on, pipsqueak." He said, poking fun at her height. As he led them out of the promenade the man pressed a hand against his comm device, exhaling before reaching out to his squad. "Hey, we're on our way back. Any problems?" After confirming that things had gone well the Lieutenant nodded at the woman.

"We only brought three fighters, so you'll have to buddy up with someone, don't worry I'm sure lucky will be thrilled to have you. No promises she won't dump you into a star cluster though." He said, exhaling at the thought of the chewing he was about to receive.

I was hoping to get some tonight too. He mused, a bored expression coming over his face.

It didn't take them long to make it back to the landing pad where Dominic's squad and fighters were hosted. Radar seemed to be tuning up his fighter, having already come out of his uniform and stripped down to a white T-shirt. "Freakin' grease monkey." Dominic muttered before glancing over to Lucky, whom was leaning against her own fighter, arms crossed over her chest.

Lucky, a raven haired human with an amazingly successful resting queen face, had never been the typical flight officer. She had the temper of a rancor and a right hook to match an augmented Jedi. Dominic ran a hand over his jaw line, remembering his first pass at the woman and how it had ended. She was a good soldier and a good friend, but her temper was fearsome. Along with the fact that she had a well built body for a woman it made her even more confrontational. He glanced down to Sara and couldn't help but smirk a bit.

This could potentially be funny. He mused.

"Lucky, Radar, come meet the newest member of the team." Radar pulled himself out of his ship and made his way over, standing side by side with Lucky as they greeted the newcomer.

"Hey there, name's Brock Ontoran, but everyone calls me Radar." He said, offering a mock salute.

"Name's Trisha Blake, they call me Lucky. I'm the squadron 2nd and Dom's wingman. Good to have you." The 2nd part of the sentence seemed oddly added and it caused Dominic a slight hint of embarrassment. Normally their relationship had been kept at a simple level, not branching out to be anything more than what it was, however the Lieutenant was sensing something bordering on....territorial.

Dominic said nothing about her position, with her being moved down to squadron third that would now make her Radar's wingman, something he knew she would not like. "Anyway...." He said.

She glanced over at him with a curious look raising a brow

I did not say they were helpless, I simply want my own observation of them

She turned taking one last look at the place, she had to say she'd miss it. The Friday night brawl between the Winston brothers that devolved to a full on bar fight, or when that old veteran would come and chat with Sara about the old wars....yea this place she couldn't forget

She perked up hearing him and turning with a frown glaring up before she got in step beside him and only offer a grin before chuckling

careful now, you know my record so you know my kills no doubt...some of which have been rack up without the asstiance of my fighter

She listened to him as she looked over at him, this lucky sounded interesting for sure she really hoped however she wasn't dumped in space...

Least one sight greeted her that she enjoyed always seeing, a pilot working on its own tie fighter. She herself started out as a technician then became a pilot so she understood the need to do so

She gave a grin already liking his attitude as she gave a mock salute back

pleasure to meet you radar names Sara Lee Jones but you can call me Sara , couldn't help but notice you working on your tie gotta say it's a sight to see

She looked to lucky as she sized her up, defintly a good solider hiwever she felt a bit of...hnmn...she couldn't describe it. Howecer when she introduced herself she did the bit of thinking and frowned before she saluted

pleasure it meet you as well lucky...lieutentant can you come here

She pulled him off to the side away and lowered her voice

really! You already have a second in command and your gonna put me in her spot?! I may be little heartless but not that much!

I am a son of the Mountain.
As the introductions were conducted between the squadron Dominc's hands went to his pockets. Searching for a certain something...after a moment he produced a small pack of cigarra's. He popped one into his lips before using his lighter to ignite the tobacco product. He didn't bring himself back to reality until Sara asked to see him away from the others. When they made their way over to the edge of the platform Dominic met her words with a short and curt shrug of his shoulders. "Consider it a right of passage. Honestly I didn't think you'd care and I was going to tell Lucky when we made it back."

Taking a soft drag from the cigarra he exhaled the smoke into the air, gesturing back towards the fighters. "Besides what squadron doesn't have a second in command?" He asked.

"What would make you think I'd cross the galaxy to find an ex-First Order officer just to make her my second?" He asked before glancing over her with a slight chuckle. "Well...." He trailed off before showing an amused smirk. "It's your choice sweetheart. You can be my second or fly wingman with Radar." He said.

Sara frowned further as She closed her eyes and took a breath in rubbing the bridge of her nose, she knew squadrons had seconds in command but she didn't know this one did, she took a second looking out at the city before her, she then turned and gave a irritated huff

maybe it's just how I was trained but it doesn't seem right, however....ill take the position, but I want to tell her personally. I rather I get punched then the squad leader....

She shook her head...she was never great socially ever, really her first boyfriend was because they had worked alomg side each other. She stood and started back for the ties not looking back obviously irritated a bit at him...but didn't outwardly show it

I am a son of the Mountain.
Dominic knew he had irritated Sara, and simply let off a soft exhale at the fact. Though he did not know much about Sara she was now a member of his team and that meant he was responsible for her, even when it came to her mental well being and happiness. Radar passed Sara, making his way over to Dom, a brow arched as he walked over.

"What's that about?" He asked, jerking his thumb towards the two women. Dominic paused for a moment before glancing over to the man. "Remember how Lucky and I were having real....friendly times?" He asked, inhaling from his cigarra once more.

Radar let out a lone snort before nodding at the man. "Yea, why?" Dominic flicked off the ashes from his cigarra with another exhale of smoke. "I think that's about to end." Radar simply stood beside the man, watching with interest as he tried to sort his confusion.

Sara stopped as minute closing her eyes as she sighed, she knew she was about to get a beating of her life but she needed to tell lucky rather then dom....either way Sara felt this would cause a but of trouble

She came up to lucky and spoke

hey uh lucky can I speak with you for a moment

Lucky only raised a brow before she spoke impatiently

"Sure make it quick"

Here goes nothing, Sara thought to herself

im...taking over as second in command...

Lucky was floored and went to speak but Sara held a hand up closing her eyes

listen, I wasn't thinking he was serious but that's a offer I made for me to join and he took it. I didn't think anything of it

Lucky was practically steaming hands balled up to punch as she practically spit venom

"Oh so what some hot shot first order girl is better huh!"

She pushed Sara out of the way and walked straight up to Dominic

"What am I no good?! Do you not trust me?! Did those nights mean nothing those conversations mean nothing!!...whatever but she is not riding with me radar better get comfy with another for this trip"

She stomped off as sara walked over rubbing the back of her head sighing

I feel....i may of complicated stuff

I am a son of the Mountain.
Dominic ran a hand over the back of his neck as he saw Lucky's expression go from neutral to pissed off in a matter of seconds.

"Uh oh." Uttered Radar, as Lucky passed Sara to make her way over to Dominic. Dom, paying attention to the scene glanced at Radar who slowly moved away from the man, allowing Lucky a clear shot to him. And it begun. A series of frustrated questions that were all meant to be received with no answer.

Before Dominic could offer any form of explanation or apology Lucky had made her way back to her fighter, obviously not wishing to pursue a conversation on the matter. Dominic was left pinching the bridge of his nose as Radar made his way back to his side. "And where the hell did you wander off to?" He asked the larger human.

"I wanted no part of that kick your backside just took." He muttered, a slight laugh escaping him as he said such. Dominic turned to the man, his hands braced on his waist as he exhaled audibly. "Whatever." Sara returned to the group, with a matching expression to Dominic's. When she expressed worry about complicating things the man simply shook his head, yet before he could speak up Radar spoke instead.

"Don't worry about her, she'll be fine. It doesn't take much to rile her up and if she was really made you'd both probably be dangling over the side of the landing platform about now. Just one thing, don't let her down." The man said, before walking over to Lucky, most likely trying to defuse the situation.

Dominic glanced down at Sara, crossing his arms over his chest before a smile returned to his face, the smile was almost knowing and had a certain slyness to it. "Come on sweetheart, let's see what you got." He walked over to the others, gesturing to Radar. "Hey Radar, is your fighter good to fly or do you need time to put it back together?" He asked.

Radar let out a soft snort before shaking his head. "Just checking some fuel levels boss, we're good to go." He responded.

"Good. We're getting out of here, oh and someone has to piggy back with Sara here, so draw straws." Dominic said before making his way to his own fighter.

[member="Dominic Crowley"]

Sara sighed as she shook her head and looked to him...this man had a very very odd attitude...he had just got yelled at by his former second and was now slyly smiling...sara was confused but shrugged as she followed the man looking over to radar as he spoke

Lucky glared over to radar, the kind of glare that said you know your getting the short stick either way. She then made her way to her fighter climbing in still fuming about what had happened

Sara glanced to radar as she rubbed the back of her head and chuckled

so uh, guess you got the short end? Either way rather not be in a cramped tie with her...least for the moment

The last part was mostly her thoughts that she shrugged off and looked to Dominic

I am a son of the Mountain.
As Sara made her way away from Dominic he simply brought his cigarra to his lips, taking another soft inhale before exhaling the small tobacco cloud into the air in front of him. Another of his sly smiles came to his face as he flicked the ashes towards the ground. "She's gonna fit in fine." He said to himself.

When Sara looked back at Dominic he walked over to the group, tossing his cigarra on the ground.

"We'll have plenty of time to get acquainted. We have almost two weeks of R&R up and we're going to use it training and enjoying each others company. Ain't that right Lucky?" He called out to her.

"I'm gonna enjoy bashing your..." She trailed off as she pulled her flight suit out of her ship's cockpit. Dominic walked over to his own ship, pulling his flight suit off while unbuttoning the top to his Imperial uniform.

"Sara, you're not riding with Radar, Radar is riding with you." He said, gesturing towards the large man.

Radar nodded at Dominic before moving to the cockpit of his own ship, he lowered the passenger seat, setting it in place behind the pilot's seat. "You got it boss." He responded.

"Get a flight suit from our spares in Lucky's maintenance hatch." He said, after pulling off his coat and undoing the buckle over his pants. As the squadron began to get out of their uniforms and back into their flight suits Dominic couldn't help but notice Lucky changed where she was restricting Dom's view of her.

"That's cold..." The lieutenant muttered.

[member="Sara Lee Jones"]

[member="Dominic Crowley"]

Sara was...confused? She didn't expect to get to fly so soon, either way she went over to lucky and grabbed a flight suit gettimg little bit out of view but enough she wasn't within striking range of lucky...kinda open to sight if one looked right

so uh...lucky...i..sigh...i didn't quite mean to cause any trouble...i understand your gonna hate me but, least know either way I've got your six if you need it or anything

Sara said as she looked away from her but kept glancing as she got into the flight suit...definitly something she missed, she walks diver to radars ship and rubbed the side smiling

I am a son of the Mountain.
As Dominic changed he could not help but lean back behind his ship, able to see Sara as she changed. He whistled softly to himself before Radar stepped in the way, putting his uniform back into a compartment on the side of his ship.

"Oh you big idiot..." Dominic muttered, causing the man to arch a brow at him.

"What did I-?" He cut himself short, leaning back to see the woman changing. He leaned forward bracing his arm on the side of his ship as he laughed to himself. "You're really hopeless, you know that boss?"

Dominic nodded enthusiastically, shrugging his shoulders as he zipped up his suit. "Yea, makes it more fun."

"Thinking of having...fun with the new girl?" Radar asked, a brow arched.

"Uhhh....yea?" He said, saying such as if there was no question. Radar closed the compartment on the side of his ship before making his way over to him. "You know Lucky is going to be even more pissed if you push her out for....her?" He gestured back to explain his point.

Dominic nodded, before putting his own uniform in the compartment. "Maybe...maybe I won't have to push anyone out?" He asked, a sly smile coming over his face.

"Hopeless." Radar repeated, making his way back to his starship.

Once they were all suited and ready Dominic climbed into his fighter, getting all of the systems back online and prepared for flight. He pulled his comm link into his ear before glancing over his helmet, taking notice of the phantom squadron emblem on the side. "Let's kick some ass." He said.

Sara seemed to be received with silence from radar, she only moved away ad she looked to the guys who seemed to be staring in her direction. She shrugged and walked over to them rolling her shoulders as she gave a grin and climbed and into the fighter as she looked everything over taking a second before she started everything up as if normal and got a big childish grin as she looked to radar

mind if i use the comm since I'm driving hahaha

She was in a good mood, back in the saddle yet again ready to get to flying...maybe get her name back into the scoreboard a ace here
