"I've never really tried much, anyway. I usually just do things or fail." Oh, yes. She had failed all along the way. And while Gen found failure to be a flaw, it was undeniable that she was able to be who she was by learning through the hard knocks. She was who she wanted to be now. If someone else could accept that, then perhaps there was hope for something more.
