If Anybody Asks, This Never Happened (Roxy)

"Unless you get yourself beat down again while you're on Chroma Zed. In which case I'll have heard it again."
Lorane winced sympathetically when Roxy jolted, but then turned away as she talked to get the next bandage. He came around to look at her front, where there was another big bruise near her gut. Very carefully, he plastered that one over, too. The he came around to look at her arm, the one that'd been stepped on.
"Name's Lorane Azure. I would love to point out how idiotic it was of you to come stumbling into Golden Coast without knowing it was the biggest criminal hidey-hole on the planet."

"Oh, pain wasn't enough. Go on, pay me the embarrassment as well."
Roxy said with a small grumbling growl in her voice. She watched the bandages carefully, and upon one being placed on her gut, her tummy gave a low howling growl. She lightly punched it with her free hand, then held the bottle in it, holding out the damaged arm to Doc, feeling relatively upset about everything.

"I'm kidding. Plenty of people who want somebody dead send 'em here. I'm just the guy who makes the creepy crawlies 'round here deader than their targets. And then possibly patch up the targets."
Lorane slowly wrapped a long-ish bandage around Roxy's gun arm, and stuck another plaster on her shoulder before smiling gently and pushing the hand she was holding the bottle with closer to her face.
"Go on. You probably need it right about now. I'll go find something to cook up for that growling friend of yours."

Roxy hesitated lightly. Was she wanted for something? She probably wasn't. But was she? She gave a tiny nervous sound, looking at the Doctor with wide eyes before the mouth of the bottle went into her own. She chugged quickly, slowly drowning away the bottle, to forget about the pain, forget about the reasons in her mind that screamed for her not to trust anyone, especially some guy who wanted her shirt off.
"Ah... Got it, then."

Lorane walked into the kitchen, searching for anything that could be construed as edible. He ended up with a box of waffles and a side of bacon roughly the size of his head. Whatever. Waffles went in the oven, bacon went in the pan. Booze... booze went partially into the good doctor's mouth, and partially on the bacon. Yum. The Chiss stuck his head back out the door to the kitchen, looking at Roxy,
"You know, you could put your shirt back on. Make the fact that I'm cooking breakfast in the middle of the day a little less awkward. Just a little bit. Maybe?"
It wasn't that she wasn't attractive enough that he didn't want to see her without a shirt on. It was more that he needed to feel okay that he was coking for some random girl he found getting beaten up in a bar. That felt awkward enough without her being topless.

As the smells wafted into the room, Roxy gave a small disgusted face, quickly hiding it in order to seem more... polite. She stared at the door, suddenly making awkward eye contact with the Doctor on accident. She pulled away her face, giving a nod to his offering, slowly picking her shirt back up to slide over herself. Totally didn't mean for this to be awkward, but what can you do? She straightened her shirt slowly, looking back to the kitchen with a scowl. She hated meat, hated hated hated. It probably would make her lose her appetite, even with the booze flavoring.
"Thanks, Doc!"
She called out innocently, gently moving her knees up to her chest to hug and wait.

The bacon was almost done, when a small tapping noise at the door to the clinic became audible over the sizzling. He grabbed his gun off the kitchen counter, cocking it as he walked towards the door. Roxy was sitting on the ground in the hallway. He'd have to ask her what was wrong after he took care of this. The scratching got louder as whoever was on the other side of the door heard him walking closer.
He aimed his gun at where most humanoids' hearts would be, and let the door swing open to reveal a dangerous... puppy? The puppy ran past him towards the kitchen. Lorane put his palm to his face. It'd smelled the bacon and come scratching at the door. And the loud crash and crunching noises he heard now were the dog eating the bacon. Wonderful. He walked back to Roxy, giving himself the concentration to be worried, now that the immediate threat was dealt with.
"You alright there? You look... nauseous?"
[member="Roxy Lalonde"]

The young lady kept a deadpanned face as she watched the scene, the tension build as he swung open the door. She was a bit relieved to see the puppy run inside, but not much of those expressions shown. She was alright with hiding them when she wasn't drunk enough, at least, for now. In a small daze of listening to the puppy suddenly crunch the bacon, she jolted as the question was suddenly asked. Wide eyes looked up for a moment, then slowly went along with the shaking of her head.
"Nah, I'm alright Doc. Thanks a lot for uh... taking care of me. Do you need my contact? I mean, I don't need you to have my contact but uh... We should keep in touch in case I have to repay the whole 'beating-up' favor."

Lorane smiled and sat down next to Roxy to watch the puppy finish his bacon and come running up to lick his face. It smelled like wet dog mixed with bacon grease and mud. Oh, but what the hell? It was still adorable. He scratched the little furball all over as he looked at the girl and smiled a bit wider.
"For if I need somebody to beat up on me, or if I get beat up on?"
He was teasing her again, yeah, but this wasn't as mean as before. He finally had somebody to sit down and talk to, at least for a little while. That was a new feeling. Most of his patients didn't talk to him. He shrugged happily and kept scratching the overexcited canine in his lap.
"I'm joking. 'Course it'd be nice to get your contact. Never know when you need other people, right?"
[member="Roxy Lalonde"]

Ugh the teases were getting to her again. She hid the blush on her face with two oversized sleeves covering a cheek each. She simply shrugged to his question. It would be a good idea to have contacts, even if they were just a pile of teases. Still could use them as a replacement for herself to get killed in a situation, or something of the sort. She slowly dug in her pockets, taking out a tiny device. A holopad.
"Do the contact adding thing... thing."

"Contact adding thing-thing..."
Lorane wasn't teasing her that time. He was actually muttering to herself and trying to figure out how to add contacts. Okay, there. He had it. Punching his comm frequency into the holopad wasn't hard. The puppy, with no attention from its new blue-skinned friend, walked up to the pink person beside him. He licked her finger and decided that she tasted good before he put a paw on her leg and stared at her with his big blue eyes.
Lorane really wasn't paying attention as he added Roxy's contact information to his holo-com. He just assumed that the puppy had gone somewhere to sniff something.

Roxy scrunched her nose lightly at the puppy, slowly pushing it away with her foot. She had to wonder if it was [member="Doctor Azure"] 's dog after all, but didn't quite question it out loud. It did seem awfully comfortable in his very office. Once the contact was added, she looked it over, then put the pad away in her pocket, giving the Doctor a small nod.

"I'll talk to you later then, Doctor. It was a nice meeting, while it lasted, I guess."
