If Anybody Asks, This Never Happened (Roxy)

~ The Dirty Beach Bar & Grill, Golden Coast City, Chroma Zed ~
Lorane was, as usual, in the Dirty Beach trying to drink without being disturbed. Of course, when he was disturbed, something fun usually happened. Like shootouts, which he invariably won at. Or drinking games, which he also regularly won. Or... People muttering about weird stuff. That was fun, too. Sometimes. He looked at the bartender, who silently shrugged. That happened a lot. Dude liked shrugging.
So, the Chiss sipped at his Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster and curiously listened to a bunch of spice dealers discuss a pink woman who was buying or stealing all their product. Fun, fun, fun.

Well ain't this just a pile of butts. Pink lady suddenly entered the scene, stumbling around the bar for a moment, before crashing into the table with the dealers, a bright smile painted on her face. It was, at this time, years ago, that her hair was actually a lot longer. Lucky hair. She looked up innocently at the glares, slowly puckering her lips as she spoke in a quiet and tiny tone.
"I have money for more..."
As if on cue, she was thrown off the table and onto the floor with a disgusted grunt. People were just so blood-hungry these days. With a soft whimper escaping her lips, she took a kick from one of the members, slowly reaching for her belt, which fortunately held her pistol. Her arm was kicked away. She was just going to take the beating now.

Lorane saw this, sighed, and cocked his gun as loudly as he possibly could. Only one of the spicers looked up. His eyes grew very wide as he tried to explain himself.
"No, no... Doc, we was just... She's been stealing our stuff."
"Oh, and you four brave gentlemen decided to gang up on her? I'm going to shoot you. And nobody will care, except for the addicts who are already so far beyond apathetic towards you that it's disgusting."
The wide-eyed man took a bullet to the eye, and another took the heel of Lorane's combat boot to the face. The third one managed to pull a gun, but was promptly shot by the bartender. The last man stood stock-still, his foot still on the woman's arm. The Chiss leaned down over her and raised an eyebrow.
"Why don't you shoot this guy, and then we can get you patched up, huh?"

Roxy quietly blinked, looking to the spicer who was just about to lose a life. She flipped her other hand over, promptly shooting his knee as soon as the tiny blaster was removed from it's spot on her belt. She sighed quietly as he screamed in pain, going to half stumble away. She didn't like killing people, not yet at least. She wasn't THAT big of an addict.
"Well, thanks... I guess, I mean I don't... I... Do you want some money or something?"
She squinted, unsure why help was really provided while she bent over one of the dead dealers, reaching in the common pocket to pull out a small bag of spices she learned to enjoy, as well as his pouch from his other. She even considered stealing this guy's gun, just to show she had no respect for the dead people falling around her.

Lorane was confused for a moment. Like a sort of moral dilemma, almost, except with more money involved in either choice. He thought about whether he really needed Spice Girl's cash. The answer was no. So, he simply shook his head and watched her pick over the dead bodies. Spice, spice, and more spice. Sigh.
"What do I need money for? I drink here basically for free. Besides, I'm a doctor and you probably want to not feel all those bruises, right?"
He looked around and picked up his drink, and another bottle of Gargle Blaster besides. Now he was good, and everything was okay. He had alcohol in his possession. He looked back at the Spice Girl.
"C'mon, Pinkie... Patching up time."

Way to be that one doctor in a horror movie to chop you up, Doc. She looked him over with a small squint, growing suspicious. As soon as she had pocketed the spices, she realized that she could actually use some help, even if it did mean more bruises after. A gentle tiny sigh followed after her lips, though before her words.
"You really wanna see my boo boo's huh? Fine, you can 'patch me up.'"
She stuck out her tongue a little, giggling at her little quote. Patching up sounded like a funny thing now, even if it was meant to be serious and all.

"You had to make it weird, huh? Nice job, Spice Girl."
Lorane rolled his eyes as he stepped out the door and shook the bottle of Gargle Blaster like he was showing a treat to an excitable pet. He grinned at the pink-haired girl teasingly as he did so and she stuck her tongue out at him.
"Heeeeeeeeeeere, Pinky... Got some booze for you... Some... Obscenely... Acidic... Booze..."
[member="Roxy Lalonde"]

A tiny playful frown went across Roxy's pale little face. She slowly walked over, rubbing her arm gently. Now who was making it awkward, Doctor? She looked away for a moment, trying to act like she had no relations with this weirdo, slowly making herself come closer and closer to the bottle, even if that meant following him down a few blocks.
"Not a funny tease you know."
She said with a grumble in his direction, now actually trying to catch up. Why did he know her weakness so soon? Meanie butt, that's why.

Lorane stopped for a moment as he watched the girl trudge rather miserably after him. He looked at her oddly, and then realized what she'd been muttering at him. The joke with the booze had been seriously mean, though he hadn't noticed it... Or even thought about the fact that she was very clearly addicted to several things... He held out the bottle towards her and sighed heavily.
"Alright, that was mean. You can have the bottle. I've got more."
He hated to admit just how much more.

The young girl perked up only a little at the offering. She hesitated a few times, then snatched the bottle into her hands, keeping it close. She read the label quickly to make sure it was the real deal, then continued to draw closer to the Doctor just to make sure he wasn't pulling any crap on her, like trying to... She didn't know. She wasn't drunk enough for this crap.
"Thanks uh bunch... You still wanna patch me up or was that another tease?"
She asked with an almost threat in her voice, suddenly regretting her attitude to the cute looking man before her. He was kind of attractive, younger, without a history with her.

"Why can't it be both? Do you have a better guy to be teased by?"
He gave the girl a genuine smile as he watched her check the bottle all over for some kind of trap or something. It was a little bit cute. She was a little bit cute. The pink everything was a bit much, but it looked good on her. If he'd had been more drunk, he might have tried to just grab her, but that probably would've just ended in him being dead.
They managed to get down the street to the clinic, and then they got to the stairs. The girl was limping. He pointed at the stairs.
"You think you can climb those, Pinkie? Clinic's right up there."
[member="Roxy Lalonde"]

Though Roxy hated to admit, her mind tricked her again into thinking the Doctor was cute. She pushed away the thoughts, again, not drunk enough. Upon reaching the stairs, she calmly took a step up, slowly walking up step by step while clutching the bottle tightly with her free hand. She just needed to get patched up for this guy, see if she could get any money from him, and go take her spices.

With a small smirk in her mind as she thought of it, she looked back to the Doctor.

"You're really kind for all of this... Thanks, a bunch."

"It's not a big issue. I get less than nothing from worse cases than you. After all, this is Golden Coast."
Lorane climbed the stairs far quicker that the girl had, which was understandable. She was injured, and he was not. He opened the door for her, and pulled up a chair so she could sit down. He pulled out a large pack of bandages with some sort of bacta on the inside, and grabbed another bottle of Gargle Blaster out of the fridge before looking at the girl again and pointing to the bandages.
"Er, do you want me to put the bandages on, or turn around and not look while you put them on. Probably got bruises in a bunch of places right now. Either way, I don't think I'm drunk enough."
He grabbed the bottle in front of him and popped it open with a knife, leaning back in his chair and grinning lazily.

Way to sound like a perv, Doc. Roxy quietly looked down at herself, in all the spots she had been bruised. She didn't really know how this stuffed worked, much less which spots were more important than others. When her eyes met the alien's face again, she only gave a tiny shrug and a muffled response, shyly crossing her legs together.
"You can do it I guess."

Lorane looked at the girl with an odd mix of confusion and annoyance, wondering why... OH...

"Did everything I said sound like an innuendo to you?"

He picked up the first of the bandages and rolled his eyes at what he had to say next.

"This doesn't help my case, but you'll probably need to take your shirt off."

[member="Roxy Lalonde"]

Confirmed times like a million. Roxy stared at the doctor for a good long while, before looking down at her pink shirt. With a hesitation, she slowly slid it off and put it to the side, revealing her nicely kick and beat stomach, nearly forming a very nasty looking bruise.
"You got me in your bedroom and got me to take my clothes off. Good job, Doc."
[member="Doctor Azure"]

"There's no bed in here. The only beds are down the hall. I just sit out here and get drunk while I work on fixing my gear."

Honestly, this girl was infuriating already. Usually when somebody offered medical help, you didn't make fun of them, right? Wron- That train of thought abruptly derailed itself when he got a good look at the bruises. Lorane sucked his teeth.

"You don't feel like any of your ribs are broken, right? Because that's something I really can't fix with bacta and bandages."

Roxy perked up suddenly at the word of 'ribs.' Tiny flashes of memories came into her mind, when she sold a few of her bones for special reasons a while later. Pffft. Who would notice if two of her ribs were missing... Silly doctor. She felt over herself anyways, ending with a tiny shake of her head to confirm that she was alright for now.
"No doctor, I don't need anything more than the bandages."
And this booze. This booze was amazing.

"Oh-kay, then. Don't blame me for the bacta feeling weird. It's supposed to be cold and oozy."
Lorane took the largest bandage and began plastering it to the girl's back while he watched her drink almost the whole bottle of Gargle Blaster. That was kind of attractive, in an odd sort of way. This tiny little girl could drink as much as he could, and she was still standing here, able to talk to him. Awesome.
"So... What's your name, if you don't mind me asking before you get so smashed you can't remember it?"
[member="Roxy Lalonde"]

Roxy jolted a little at the sudden cold on her back, before she forced herself to relax and get used to it. She closed her eyes quietly, thinking about what the doctor asked. Should she really tell the truth? Not like he could do anything worst than what had already been done to her. What she did to herself.
"My name's Roxy, Lalonde. Remember the name 'cuz that's prolly the last you'll hear it."
She snickered quietly, then moaned in pain, clamping her eyes down tight and her hands around the lip of the bottle, keeping it away for now. She was going to need it once this was over. Que Rose Lalonde's name creation.
