I Swear By My Pretty Floral Bonnet, I Will End You.

"Well, now... This is a situation." Magena said, her voice resonating with an almost casual indifference, but still carrying that undertone of frost. "Let me tell you how this is gonna go." Her eyes stared unblinkingly at the man before her, cocking the blaster back. "You're gonna walk away and let me take the coin, or I'm going to shoot a new hole in your face."

The day outside was bright and the wasteland of the outer landscape of Osseriton reflected light into the cavern, bouncing off the treasure that was long ago forgotten, but now being fought over. It would have been an otherwise uneventful day. The planet was a small sphere of graves and pain that began to bloom when a small civilization started here - a civilization that unlike most other planets, didn't even have a name yet. Because it was located near deep space, not very many actually made their way out here.

Needless to say, Magena wasn't impressed. It felt claustrophobic, and with a few more drifters falling in, the place could almost be similar to Mos Eisley. Then this shmuck arrived, and made her like it even less.

"Your choice...friend."

Who the hell did she think she was showing up late and pointing a blaster in his face and telling him to drop the coin. This was his gig, and he beat her to the treasure fair and square. It had been a long journey too. The planet wasn't exactly easy to find, and the other ships trying to take his out had been problematic. Still he made it there first, and somehow let the Zeltron get a drop on him. Dammit if she wasn't so hot, he'd not feel guilty for what he was about to do.

"Hey now," he said with a pretty boy grin, "no need to get all violent because I beat you here." He raised his hands tossed the coin at her, while at the same time throwing a pretty swift right hook at her jaw before taking cover and pulling his own blaster on her.

His hand pressed to the earbud he was wearing to make sure his signal with [member="Wyla Endeel"] was still live. He'd kept her back on the ship to watch out for any trouble, but apparently trouble had already arrived. This seriously was going to hurt his payday, and the one he was trying to cash in to get the final payoff to get his crew together. He had a big job coming up and needed more hands than what he had.

"Why am I always the guy getting shot at by the pretty ladies. Sheesh. Pretty boy for a reason my foot..."

Clearly he was muttering to himself.

Wyla was in her spot in the co-pilot’s chair; she sat very still, save for her fingers that tapped against the smooth metal of the console. It’s not that she was bored, she was standing by. Normally she went where Holden did, but this time she’d been asked to stay behind with the ship. All was quiet, no trouble had come her way at all. It mattered not; she would content herself with some quiet contemplation. The cyborg let her eyes close, she could use this time to get some extra rest. Her neural implants were still working to improve her cognitive functions, she needed all of the down time that she could get.

“Hmm?” A brow twitched as Holden’s voice came through over the comm link. It seemed that quick rest would have to wait. By the sound of things, he’d met someone on his way to the treasure. Wyla picked up on the word ‘violent’, perhaps the salvager had gotten himself into trouble. She raised a slim index finger and gently tapped it against her lips, for now she would simply continue to wait. Though, she needed to remain alert, ready to act if needed.

Osseriton

Who ended up on the only planet in the Osseriton System in the Unknown regions, how was this happening? Whatever it was it brought Rekha here she was now standing outside lookig up at endless skies.

The line from one of her favorite holos crossed her mind, I am a leaf on the wind watch me soar with the steady wind there was coming across the plains right now soaring would not be a problem. Rekha took a few steps forward and looked to her left, there she saw there were some establishments that might have something to eat and drink while the Star was being refueled.

It was the aroma of something edible that was drawing her to take those few steps in a direction that might have a point of no return. Rekha stopped. Should she eat here, or go back on board eat there.

Where was she going right now? Should she turn back? Another step forward.

She tilted her head...hmmm she thought.

"Shavit!" Magena's forearm flew up to catch the hit that seemed to use all of the nameless man's collective might. It knocked her off kilter, but she was quick to regain her footing again.

Unfortunately for him, all it really did was annoy her, which was indicative by the slew of explicits that spewed from her mouth. She was going to clobber him into next week when she got her hands on him! "I'll give you one more chance. There's only one way out of here." A pause, "It's in your court." Magena stated bitterly, taking slow steps.

"Don't make this go another way."

They stood a respective pace from one and other, each holding a trained blaster pointed at the other.

She allowed a silent second to pass, then took an angered step forward and shifted her weight around. If there was anything Magena hated, it was when someone got in the way of her and her perceived bounty.

Without a flicker of hesitation she leveled her shot. Did pretty boy have the guts to do what needed to be done? Mangea snerked, pulling the trigger.

Holden ducked and rolled off to one side, taking cover behind something larger this time. She wasn't going to hit him, not in a long shot, but he wasn't getting out without [member="Wyla Endeel"]'s help.

"Are you insane! Don't make this go another way, and you shoot at me anyway!? I'm pretty sure there is enough here to share, IF, I hadn't beaten you here fair and square!"

If the Zeltron though she could just bully her way into getting what she wanted, she had another thing coming. Now there was one thing Holden already knew he had no guard against, but as he took a quick peek above the massive boulder he was hiding behind, he was pretty sure she was too pissed to try that method. Not that he had to look. The language coming from her mouth was as colorful as the locks which fell from her head.

He smirked, because she was actually pretty cute when she was angry. Maybe that was because she was a Zeltron, and Holden hadn't met an ugly one yet. Either way it was teh first time he could actually have said that about anyone he knew. Holden really had to stop meeting attractive women like this. He was never going to get anywhere with them if all they wanted to do was shoot at him.

Holden tapped into the comm again.

"She's got me trapped, and she's crazy enough to actually try and kill me. We aren't getting this job done unless I can get out of here, and I can't do that unless you help me out here. Mind picking her off her feet and dragging her out of here... preferably kicking and screaming?"

Wyla sat silently, eyes on the control panel in front of her. She had been watching Holden fly the ship, but she was not ready to take the reins, and she knew that the ship was very important if they expected to leave this place. The cyborg’s gaze shifted to the small handheld tracking device that had been left with her, it displayed a blinking green dot to represent Holden’s current location. For a moment, Wyla was completely transfixed by the blinking display but her attention snapped to when she heard Holden on the comm. Indeed he was in trouble, and Wyla needed to get to him quickly in order to help. Being so new to this life, she truly would be lost without him.

“Yes, Holden.” Wyla spoke into the comm. “Do not die, Wyla will be there shortly.”

The cyborg woman had no weapons of her own, and had little idea where to find one but she felt a sure strength within. Wyla locked down the ship, and then moved out, looking down at the tracking device in her hand. Fortunately, she wasn’t far from Holden’s location but she would still need to travel swiftly. She wondered just what Holden was up against; he had referenced his opponent as a ‘she’, so it was a female. However, she couldn’t conjure up any images in her mind; imagination was not one of her strong suits. She pushed off the ground and began to run at a fast pace towards the caverns ahead.

Once inside she looked around, there were many different ways from the entrance, but she could see where Holden was and she moved again towards his location. Wyla kept quiet to avoid drawing attention to her way and soon she could see Holden up ahead. In just the space of a moment, she was at his side. Wyla’s eyes peered around the boulder, focusing in on the woman with pink hued skin and pastel hair – a person like she’d never seen before.

Holden just kept himself held up behind the massive rock, waiting to hear the sound of [member="Magena Dray"] screming, or cursing even more profusely than she was now. It never came. Holden was beginning to wonder if [member="Wyla Endeel"] had gotten his message, when she came up from behind and crouched next to him. This wasn't exactly what Holden had asked for, but it was something he could work with. Hopefully, Magena hadn't seen the cyborg slip in.

"Did you find another way in here without going past her," Holden asked in a very low whisper.

If she had, Holden could get around the shooter, take the treasure right out from under her nose, and get away without a scratch. Knowing Holden though, he would like make some comment from behind the Zeltron, and knock her hout cold so she couldn't follow. He wasn't a real proponent of hitting women, but he would make an exception for this one. She fething tried to kill him over an antique coin which happened to be the map to a much larger treasure. What was the world coming to?

"C'mon Wyla, lead the way out, but quietly."

Oh why was her stomach growling to the point of distraction. Rekha sighed she knew she’d have to go and find something to put into it. Following her nose she wound her way until she was walking into a cavern.

There was a lot happening in this little place now wasn’t there.

Here is where the decision comes, do you find a chair grab some popcorn and watch, or do you pull a blaster make an entrance and risk your assets.

Rekha pulled the blaster slowly stepping inside, trying to be quiet she could hear movement, and breathing. Caverns were like that sounds get magnified but the problem with that you couldn’t tell precisely where the sound came from, least she couldn’t.
Take a step, pause and listen.

Wyla nodded at Holden, and she pointed an index finger to the side of the cavern. She had come through small tunnels that lead from the entrance to their current location. It had barely been visible on her tracker, but once she spotted it, it was the path of least resistance to Holden. The cyborg’s right brow lifted slightly, trying to gauge Holden’s size relative to that of the tunnel… she hoped he would make it through. “This way.” She said, her voice low.

Without another word she slipped from behind the bolder and back into the tunnel, moving silently as a shadow. It would only be a matter of time to see whether or not the woman with pink skin had seen them, and whether she would decide to flee or come after them. As she neared where the tunnel flowed back into the main entrance she paused, having thought she heard movement up ahead. She turned back to see if Holden was still following and then stepped out into the open.

Now she saw a woman with brown hair, moving into the cavern, her hand was slowly drawing a blaster. Perhaps Wyla should have waited a few moments before revealing herself, but it was too late now.

Ah, so there was the cave. Just big enough for the big metal suit that was what was left of Jynnan Tonnyx. Wincing under his helmet at the loud sound his jump jets made, he leapt down from his vantage point to where he'd just seen the brunette walk into the cavern. As he stepped in, he grimaced at the loud metallic footsteps his feet made on the ground. The scopes in his cybernetic helmet adjusted the light inside his helmet to the darkness, and he stepped further in.

Half expecting the brunette's drawn blaster to be for him, he drew the hilt of his oversized lightsaber from its sheathe, and spun to see... Another woman? And a tiny tunnel behind her. Interesting. The mouth plate of Jyn's helmet folded into the sides of his helmet, and he smirked.

He said, echoing slightly because of the still-activated microphone inside his helmet, "Well, what a lovely surprise. Maybe you can tell me where the treasure is. It's not every day a beast like me has the chance to make a good bit of money."
