I Recognize You (Hakora Cinthra)

Emily sat comfortably perched on a large rock. She'd been on Endor a total of two days now, doing a little survivalist training for her Master. It had been tough so far, but she was living nonetheless. At least Endor wasn't as bad as Kashyyyk. No Terentateks, hopefully. And the Ewoks weren't so aggresive once you gained the trust of a few of them. At the moment, Emily was trying to hunt down something for lunch. She was only so good at tracking. Even Force signatures were hard to pinpoint here, with so much wildlife teeming around her. But this was a test Master Jericho had placed before her, and she was going to pass it no matter how difficult it was.

Hakora sat high above this girl in a hammock. The trees were high and from her point of view she would only see a green parachute looking thing hanging high above. Hakora sat sleeping in the tree soundly, but that wasnt all that was happening. Down on the jungle floor slept another being, a black wolf cub named Oberon. The wolf cub perked it's ears to the sound of movement coming from Emily and saw her. Oberon got up from his sleeping spot and began to growl at Emily as he had never seen her before and he was highly protective of Hakora even if Hakora was high above asleep.

Emily's eyes darted to her left to see a small black wolf cub growling as feircly as it could at her. "Awwww," She said involuntarily. It was so cute! She got down from the rock and sat on her knees, not getting too close to it. "Hi there, little guy," She said softly.

This set Oberon off. Oberon began to bark at her jumping with each bark which awakened Hakora who looked out and saw the redhead with his cub barking at her. He used the force to lift Oberon off the ground which quickly startled the pup, until the pup did a supermen pose as it glided up to Hakora. Hakora re situated himself. After a few moments he looked back down realizing he knew the redhead. "Hey, aren't you a member of the order of the grey?"

Emily laughed a little when the puppy lifted from the ground. She watched it float up to the large green hammock above her, and was surprised to see a boy she hadn't seen for some time. "I was for a while. I think I saw you there a few times before. Weren't you the boy who was always training in the woods?" She asked.

"Hakora Cinthra, at your service, but what are you doing on Endor? This s so remote ad out of the way that I didn't expect to run into anyone, but teddy bears, let alone run into people who are part of the grey." Hakora remained in his hammock as it was comfy and he was feeling lazy after his long run and last encounter with the Ewoks. Hakora knew literally nothing about this girl as she was there training one day and then gone the next. He honestly couldn't even recall a name if it was given. Oberon lay comfortably on Hakoras lap and was already going right back to sleep. It was true that Hakora had come here to be alone. He needed time to cope with his parent's death and recently gaining memory of them, the destruction of the temple on Alderaan and his sister's disappearance. Since becoming a knight, everything had gone from bad to worse except finding Oberon. Oberon was his light in the darkness which was ironic because his fur was black.

Emily thought for a moment. The name didn't ring a bell, but the face did. Oh well. She never talked to him in her brief time with the Order anyway. "Nice to meet you, Hakora. I'm Emily Kao. My master sent me here on a mission built around the principle of survival. I've been here for a couple of days already, and it hasn't been very easy, to be honest. The Ewoks are only nice if you gain their trust, and doing that wasn't a walk in the park, either." She stood up and stared at the hammock. How had he gotten it up there? The trees weren't as tall as the ones on Kashyyyk, but they were still pretty big. "Anyway, what're you doing here? Like you said, it's rare to see another person around here."

"Well Alderaan in owned by the One Sith now and my sister has gone missing. I also recently got my memories back and became a Knight so I am just hiding out there planning my next moves and this planet is pretty tame and safe so I thought it nice to come here and vacation. Met a guy earlier and went on a 20 mile run." Hakora stretched his neck a bit as laying in a hammock, but turning to look down was a bit hard on his neck. "Not sure why your master would send you here, not much danger here and the ewoks are so primitive you just have to show a little display of the force and they will run away."

Emily chuckled a bit. "You haven't met any predators yet, then. This place can be just as dangerous as Kashyyyk if you look in all the right places. I found that out the hard way just yesterday. I was chased by a group of Grass Trekkers and then I ran into a Gorak! Those things are brutal when they're angry. I'm lucky I got away without any injuries." She said. She rubbed the back of her neck. It kind of hurt to be constantly looking up. "Hey, do you mind if I come up there?" She asked.

Hakora grabbed Oberon and rolled out and fell down to the ground far below. He rotated his body and used a pocket of air created by the force to land softly on the ground. He let Oberon down who still wasn't getting use to Hakora doing things like that. Hakora then lifted a hand and used the force to unhook his hammock and the straps on the tree and then brought it down to himself and put it away. "I was up there too long anyways. I mean if you go looking for trouble you will always find it but what if the test is for you to learn how to avoid a fight? That is what Jedi teach at least, I personally don't teach it because the jedi sit in their little bubble while innocent people die and so I walk the line and fight for only peace."

Emily looked over at Hakora as he said this. "My Master is very... intense with my training. He never smiles where I can see him. He's always got that cold expression on his face, even when he says I did something right. When I do something wrong, the punishment is always hard physical labor of some kind, like hunting the meals for the next two weeks, or a thousand push ups and sit ups and squats. I don't mind getting pushed, really. He does it to make me stronger. So when I find the Sith I can cut them down like trees." Her last words came out in a hiss. Her hatred for the Sith may have been the only thing she and Jericho had in common, but that was enough for her. Someone who understood her motives was easier to work with.

Hakora smirked and put his backpack and wolf down. He then used the force to summon a lightsaber to his hand. He was going to show her where hatred was leading her with becoming her enemy. "Perfect, now you have told me what I need to know Emily Kao and it is time for you to die just like I killed the Grey Jedi." Hakora ignited the red lightsaber and with a murderous grin he used his free hand to cast force lightning at her.

Emily cried out in surprise. The lightning didn't hurt as much as it would a normal person. Months of relentless torture tended to make people tougher. The blast sent her backward into the base of a tree. She struggled against the surge of electricity, trying to get back on her feet. She managed to pull out her lightsaber and ignite the sapphire blade, blocking the rest of the lightning. She leaned her back against the tree, using her legs to slide herself up the trunk into a standing postion. She summoned her energy and sent a Fore push back at him.

Hakora met her force push with his own causing a small explosion between them which kicked dirt everywhere. Hakora began walking towards her as the dust settled and reached out with the force into her mind. At first it took him a moment to get in, but once we was in he saw her memories. "Poor little Emily Kao, tortured by the sith and even your master killed. I would have loved to be the one to plunge the blade into your master. Why don't you stay down and we will begin torture on that beautiful skin of yours." Hakora still wore the murderous smile as he continue to approach her. When he was done talking he was only a few feet away. He gave a quick flick of his lightsaber that was aimed to take off her head.

Emily felt Hakora reach into her mind. It actually pained her a little. And then came the taunting. The venom in his words cut into her like a knife. Her violet-blue eyes were wide with shock and hurt. She locked blades with him when he swung for her head. She couldn't bare to even look at him in that moment. She felt betrayed. "You lied....." She said, her voice shaking. A few tears escaped her eyes. Her mind was reeling with emotions, blurring her focus. she struggled to concentrate. Remember what Jericho taught you. No emotion, only peace. Remember what Aya taught you. Stand your ground, and don't fear. She clenched her jaw. Her back straightened. Her stance became stronger. she looked directly into Hakora's eyes, a fierce spark of determination in hers. "I......Will not break."
[member="Hakora Cinthra"]

Hakora smirked; determination. This meant she hadn't let on to her hate, but was fighting with her inner good. This wasn't what Hakora was wanting to see. He had never been in someone's mind except for pranks so this was pure concept. The sith could make people go insane or see things, but this shattered people's minds and Hakora didn't want to truly hurt her, but his way of teaching was unorthodox. He tried illusion, but kept it small. Using his presence in her mind he made her see his eyes turn yellow like a sith and then sent the signal to the brain to release adrenaline. This would make her harder to fight, but it would also increase her brain's function to bring about her hate faster. Hakora used Vaapad that would look like Juyo to her since Vapaad was rare. He unleashed on her a wave of attacks that were meant to seem like he was going to kill her, but he made sure to keep it safe enough to not strike her. "That's right, I betrayed you and killed them all. After you I will kill your master.... Slowly. Mmmm let your hate for me flow before you die." Hakora laughed on the inside. He was convincing himself that he was sith now.

Emily watched Hakora's eyes turn yellow. She repeated herself. "I will not break." As he began fighting her, her adrenaline kicked in. She knew that he wasn't the culprit of what had happened to her. The face of her torturer and Aya's murderer was etched deeply into her head. She'd been looking for him for years. That face was not the boy standing before her. But his threats couldn't just be ignored. So, she continued fighting him. She was very swift with her strikes, swiping and jabbing at him from every direction. "I will not break," She said.

Hakora saw faces in her mind of her torture and former master. He thought about trying to use illusion to slowly change his face to look like the torture, but Hakora knew he probably wasn't going to be able to, so he tried the next best thing. As he fought with her he used counters to block her attack and as a jab came he blocked and locked blades. Using his free hand he shot a force push a her." I must admit, you are harder to break, my master didn't have this hard of a time? Oh wait, you must not remember, the man who tortured you was my master. He even let me help." Hakora smirked, but deep down he was wondering if he was going to far.

Emily was thrown backward once again, hitting the tree so hard that debris flew out around her. Her head slammed into it, causing her to momentarily go blind. She started bleeding with gashes on her back and arms and hands. Slowly, she struggled to stand. "Will.....Not.....Break....." She said, a bit of blood trickling from her mouth. She ignored his words. Jericho had told her that that was a good way to keep her anger from taking over. Her eyes were still gleaming defiantly in Hakora's direction.

"Hmph" Hakora let go of her mind and his eyes returned to blue and his murderous smile became a normal smile. He deactivated the lightsaber and put it away. " You are stronger than I thought and if we go farther I will only cause damage that will be harder to heal and that wouldn't prove my point. Come here so I can heal you. Also as far as I know all the grey members are alive and I am not a sith, I can just play one really well." Hakora ran his hair through his spikes blonde hair as all that mind play was hard on him so he felt emotionally and mentally drained. "You spoke that you want to kill sith out of hatred, but as you can see, the sith already kill out of hatred so what would make you different from them. In your mind I could feel you resisting, but I could feel the hatred there."
