I Have a Few Questions

YAVIN IV - SAARAISHASH HQ
9:17 PM LOCAL TIME

There had been some...trouble recently. Minor ones, of course as they had not escalated to become relevant, significant ones that the Sith Empire had to focus its time and resources to resolve. Yes, the Rebels were thwarted of after the Empire's victories on both Gree and Dubrillion, leaving their adversaries to retreat after their daring operations of trying to undermine and defeat the Empire. There were other victories to praise and celebrate, but the ultimate goal and vision that the Sith Emperor sought for was not complete. A goal of ultimate order in a Galaxy full of Chaos and anarchy.

Two words that put a frown on Djorn's face when imagining of those two unholy attributes. Which was why the Inquisitor was summoned on the fourth moon of Yavin. To avert these ideas from becoming a burden for the Empire.

He was briefed by his higher ups within the Saaraishash after another Inquisitor, and a rather attractive one, gave her report on something that they had wanted to prevent. Something that had to do with the likes of [member="Darth Vesper"] and [member="Darth Maliphant"]. Two entities that Djorn hadn't have the pleasure of meeting, but he would meet the former as he was in their presence for the time being. From what Bline had been informed of, this was a serious matter to take action on. The latter of the mentioned Sith had past and identity that the subject seemed to have forgotten, and strove for a new one. One that wasn't anti-Sith-Imperial or went against the ideals of the Sith Empire. Something that the Saaraishash wished to be sealed away for good, but the influence coming from Lord Vesper could undo that and awaken the beast that was locked away from Maliphant.

The Inquisitor, in his uniform, strode until he came to the interrogation room that contained Vesper. Nothing had been done to the Sith Lord as of yet. They had only called him in for questioning and transported him here in the Yavin system. The Sith Lord would not be treated as a suspect or a criminal, but more like...a guest with excellent hospitality. Just a few questions to ask and that was all. Relevant questions regarding to the problem they were wanting to avoid and not happen.

The man entered the room and saw the Sith Lord sitting down. Djorn's eyes quickly began to focus in, and analyze and observe the Sith. He seemed calm and at ease. No signs of being tensed or upset. Good signs, shouldn't be difficult to work with Vesper.

"Hello there," the Inquisitor opened up, greeting the Darth as he took a seat facing him, "I'm Inquisitor Bline of the Saaraishash, Lord Vesper. I'm just here to ask some questions which I hope to receive honest answers from you. If so, this'll be a walk in the park and we can both return to our lives."

Vesper sat across from the inquisitor, his expression the affected mask of a half-smile. The chairs in this room were, no matter how he slouched and shifted, uncomfortable to him - he had settled in the best position he could, one leg crossed over the other. He drummed his fingers slightly, regarding the man: he couldn't sense any overt power in the Force, and had resisted the temptation to probe deeper. The Inquisition was likely uniformly resistant to mental probing, and he didn't want to be caught prowling around where he shouldn't be, physically or spiritually. That being said, that surface glance was already enough to offend - Haul a Sith halfway across the Galaxy and put him at the interrogation table with a Force-blind, like just another agent or bureaucrat. His mind rang with cold contempt.

He wasn't entirely certain what this was about - but he had suspicions. Suspicions tied to the strange behavior of [member="Darth Maliphant"] when he had spoken to him. The behavior of someone compromised. The behavior of an utter loyalist.

He raised a hand at [member="Djorn Bline"]'s remark, genial yet curt. He was tempted to go all in on the jollity, but that would ring false in this situation. Give a slight, angry edge to the honey and it becomes far more convincing. "I imagine this is a terrible inconvenience for the both of us. Let's get about this as quick as possible."

Internally, he kept himself mentally occupied. A way of fudging perceptions, keeping his thoughts and emotions tucked away out of sight. Running interference, in essence. Perhaps not necessary, but a touch relieving. In this case, he simply went step by step through how he would dissect the person in front of him.

One vertical incision lengthwise along the back, following the spine, and a horizontal incision at the midpoint in the hip, reflecting the flaps of skin back laterally from the central line...

"Shall we get started?"

So far the talks between the two men didn't hit any bumps yet. All was smooth and graceful as their tones of voice were serene and understanding. Though Djorn wouldn't completely be bought by Vesper's calm behavior. The Inquisitor was well trained in psychology, tutored in how to defend his emotions and how to utilize it in warfare when interrogating a target. He'd read body language, the movement of the eyes, and every syllable coming from the Sith Lord. In order for one to be effective and successful in the Saaraishash they had to be skeptical at all times. There could be traitors or hostiles constantly planning to undermine the Empire.

Bline could only hope Vesper wasn't one of those agents...for the Sith's own good.

"Right, let's begin," Djorn said, while pulling out a datapad that contained information relevant to this investigation.

"Tell me, Lord Vesper, what relations do you have with this [member="Darth Maliphant"]? Friend? Mentor? Lover? Tell me everything you know."

Djorn's eyes located themselves on the Sith Lord in front of him. The Inquisitor's face was tranquil, yet lacked emotion. It was stern as it always was when in this kind of scenario. And once stern, it was difficult to break that.

"Everything."
