Leviathon pits?

Camellia stared at the Sith Zeltron who had created the Croa virus and found herself blinking in confusion. Since when were Rendili's residents going to share the planet with other Sithspawn species? And why creatures that would need so much of their own space. IF Lady Praelior intended to keep them constrained to the mountain base they were constructing right now, then that was one thing, but if any sizable portion of the world were being converted, then that was a slight bother. Part of Camellia was still highly protective of the planet, no matter what species its inhabitants became. She hoped the Sith really weren't planning to defile the landscapes or put a bunch of monsters here.

Standing quietly for a moment though, the Rendili woman's gaze followed the events on the monitors as the Sith took charge of the infection process for the planet. Guiding things their own way. "Will all these extra creatures be restricted to this base's area Lady Praelior?"

[member="Camellia Swift"]

"They won't be strayng far from their new home, you act as if this is going to form the entire planet. A virus can be contained and levithans can live for many many years without eating anything and just being near the darkside." She kept monitoring the situation while Elara had the screen of Omega moving and working in their one area of city. She turned her head as a mating pair of leviathans were being brought out and they were small about the size of a child and slithering in a tank. "They'll grow for their new place and they'll enjoy all of it. Then we shall see what else can be bred here to protect the main lab. I'll have the medical corps draw up what machines they need."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

Well considering how big Camellia recalled leviathans being from the battle on Zeltros and other situations when the Republic and Sith had fought one another, she actually did imagine them taking up quite a bit of space and that the area had to be specifically catered to them. However, if they were going to be restricted to just one location and it wouldn't be prominent space then she supposed it wouldn't harm the ecosystem or pose problems if they were intended to safeguard the region around the lab the Sith were constructing as they spoke. "Well I remember them being rather large Lady Praelior and Alderaan's changes were not exactly . . . . . . .aesthetically appealing. I'm sorry for being a worrier."

[member="Camellia Swift"]

"Alderaan was formed by the vong in their image, there is a large difference between when the vong make an entire planet have a new ecosystem and when a small area is used to make things more hospitable." Her eyebrow raised up though a little as she wanted to point out there were always worse things she could inflict upon the world instead of just letting her creatures play. She could have allowed an entire world to be infected and without knowing how long they'd survive watch an entire planet die out. A dead world served no other purpose then to be used for testing weapons of mass destruction on a larger scale. "Once the initial areas of the base are built and online we'll better be able to monitor."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

Well, that made the Rendili woman somewhat more relieved. There didn't seem to be any vong present, and Camellia was sort of beginning to understand the difference between Sithspawn and Vongformed since she recalled the term being thrown around after one of the battles on Alderaan a while back. These creatures seemed like they would be restricted to the base once it was finished as its guardians and for the Sith scientists to study and work on in secret within its labs. That all sounded fine to the shipwright CEO as she purred happily now. "I understand now, my apologies. I'm not accustomed to organic work like this, most things I work with are made of metal with science and are meant to fly. First time I've ever really looked at work with the force and genetic sciences. What is the next step? Are things going smoothly maam with the altered infection progress?"

[member="Camellia Swift"]

Balaya looked at her and well the infection was going well, getting people into contained areas while infection spread through the areas of the city were becoming what she wanted. Her people and teams operating on the sealing them off and severing all communications off world, then there was here where the base was being built and different croa rounded up. Generations and mutations within the infection as it got diluted down the line eating away at their intelligence. "Everything so far has been within acceptable levels we'll have some of the different generations rounded up for tests and control groups from those who are alive. What better place then those who want to save their own world and will willingly walk into hell as it were."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

That certainly sounded like a plan as Camellia nodded and turned her attention back to the displays herself, watching patiently and curiously as she considered the implications of how things were going. "If we want to cut down on degeneration through the infection we can also try and stop at the point ferocity peaks where the closer to original generations can keep up the infection rate themselves though it would go slower in regions. When do you expect testing to begin? I know you have things underway, but I'm just curious to how long you expect it to take to collect the subjects. We do have all the time as you've said. The orbital stations are all under Croa control and all within the early generations. Between them and the Sith the communication jamming and other defenses will keep things under wraps for a while."

[member="Camellia Swift"]

Balaya was looking at her and held her grin as more reports of the facility were showing. They had some of the initial areas laid out and standing but no equipment while some of the croa were in cages. She was moving now towards them faster and faster before with her larger stride while speaking. "That is a possibility but would take more time, deploying the virus on a planet would ensure a few things for it but we would lose control of which generations infect people. We could test it in controlled groups however but here and now we're going to see how feral we can make the later generations."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

Well that was certainly a good point about when the Croa might be unleashed on another world, but considering Rendili was already solidly under their control and they had all the time they needed without any threat really they could save themselves a major loss in Camellia's opinion, though she knew that they did indeed need a few Croa who suffered from degraded mental capacities from being too far down the generation line. "That is definitely a good point for when the Croa are unleashed on the next world Lady Praelior, but with Rendili firmly under the Sith's grasp right now we don't have to rush to take control so we can set things up so the majority of the population are still functioning and productive members of society. No need to lose qualified workers and high aspects of education, though I know we do need some further along the generation chain for experimentation."

[member="Camellia Swift"]

"These creatures would not be productive, they have a new life that is to serve their new masters. Convert to many into sithspawn and the world will die out, convert to little and overpopulation could be dangerous should they choose to rebel. We'll find the balance as it is to best control and experiment on the worlds." She was looking over the screens and they had more showing up while she crossed her arms to look upon some of the areas they were creating. The muddy pit where the leviathans were squirming around and she could see some fo the battle hydras standing tall as they roared with the massive barrel chests overlooking the failed mutates the croa and massassi. "Very good, the first areas are set up and getting operational. The battlelord in charge will direct the military forces."

Cleanup duty.

Not really something anybody would look forward to. But hey, this was for the sake of science! For the sake of the Sith, their new Sisterhood, and the development of something big. Sitara was happy to help, but she wasn’t really enthusiastic about getting her boots dirty. After all they were suede. And new. She had on gloves with fairly durable material. She considered herself dressed in safe attire, though it wasn’t exactly the most flattering.

Her head of dark curls was pulled up and she scanned her surroundings. The pits weren’t exactly the best place to call home, though infected beings might like it. They enjoyed dark side energy, and how better to give it to them than from a darkside user. She’d be rounding them up and bringing them home, all the while taking down notes on their behaviour. It was a sick experiment, but one she was prepared for.

She moved through the world, her eyes scanning the rather awful scenery. She had to lure them out, they wouldn’t just come to her despite the aura she was producing. She bit her lip, her eyes slowly fading into a pale yellow. A flash of lightning struck the ground in front of her. Her eyes slowly turned back into their dark blue-grey colour. She tapped her foot, almost impatiently.

And now she had to wait.

That was clearly debatable as they had shown that there were plenty capable of intelligent thought since the planet's invasion and the crews aboard the space stations had been able to display tactics and the use of their equipment. And they had done so since in taking the military bases and properly using the communication jammers and taking control of security systems. There were certainly feral ones among the later generations since the Sith had halted the initial plan and let a more chaotic spread of infection effect the cities. Still, they had plenty still capable of taking up their old roles as doctors or technicians and soldiers. They were all loyal too, Camellia saw no need to be so wasteful of all their former talents. It was best to try and maintain the skilled workers as much as possible. The unproductive, the criminals in the prisons, those who were only capable of menial labor. . . .they were the ones to turn feral.

Still, at least the Sith had secure control of the planet now so they could still go that route since they weren't turning everyone. . . .yet. The isolated location of this Sith base was becoming rather dismal and frightening. The Rendili woman was glad it was such a small region up in the mountains, it was fortified and out of the way, and also kept the shadows growing hidden. "Well if things were pushed there are the slavers one could turn too to increase numbers maam, or the setting up of interplanetary orphanages. . . . . .Now that this is becoming secure what is the next step?"

Balaya was looking at what they had and she saw Elara coming. "Master, Omega has returned and there is another sith here to help. Their reports show an increase in pack like behavior when the croa are grouped together and not allowed to run around hunting." Ah that was something she was looking for, her energies not wasted while she looked on over the report sending it to her implants and motioning for Elara while she spoke. "Send her in, all those who are here helping create this will have a stake in it." She was looking now at Camellia as her eyes narrowred a little. "The numbers will be fine for now, as I said control in this situation. We will need groups to test each generation and once the important parts are done we'll find out all we need." She was looking forward to the one who had begun to help them and spoke into the comlink and the force. "Ah such a skilled one to come here. I shall give you the standard safety briefing. Don't let them scratch you or mix blood and you should be fine, they'll cower and obey anyone strong in the darkside."

I shall give you the standard briefing.

Wonderful. This could be a new tourist attraction for little sithlings. Round up ugly monsters and feed them with the power of the darkside. Did anyone ever wonder if they could take one of these…beings home? Like a little monster petting zoo? No? Okay. No.

Don’t let them scratch you or mix blood and you should be fine.

That was a given. Sitara wouldn’t let any of these vile creatures touch her. Frankly, she didn’t quite enjoy physically touching infected beings. She didn’t want to get infected too. She drew in a deep breath as she began to move. The creatures were coming, she could feel it. The voice in the comlink spoke again.

They’ll cower and obey anyone strong in the darkside.

It was why she was going to use lightning to draw them in. It was her natural affinity after all. They came towards her, though the string of lightning was enough to make sure they didn’t approach her too closely. She had a recording device on her in order to track their movements and take notes. She didn’t have the reaction time to play and jot things down.

Okay little beings, let’s play a game.”

Well it was only meant as a suggestion, the Rendili woman wasn't pressing for it to be done now. It was only meant for a possibility in case Lady Praelior hadn't thought of it herself just yet. It sounded like other things were thought of though, they just had to have other things completed before moving onto them once they had the right amount of subjects. Which it also sounded like someone was already taking the time to collect from whatever Lady Praelior's special unit out in the city had herded up and dropped off. Someone new to the project by the sound of the warning, and someone the Sith Zeltron didn't quite want to become part of the mass of Croa. "Just a thought for later I meant maam. Something we could keep in mind if we need any corrections or widen the range of infected."

[member="Camellia Swift"] [member="Sitara Qin"]

Good good, she kept looking over the reports and facility. Sometimes prefabricated parts were the best to have for getting things assembled fast. Her eyes watched Elara there while wanting to add the final piece of advice about not feeding them after midnight. See what happened from some of the different reactions or if someone giggled realizing it was always midnight somewhere. Her interest on the screens came when she looked upon the team that returned. Her squad having several infected with the engineer working on a monitor and checking blood samples. "Report." There was a looking from the four standing there as the one stepped forward and spoke. "We have several generations master, the field testing of equipment to determine isn't perfect but it can detect the degraded abnormality within them." She was standing there confident as the incapacitated croa laid on the ground and were being taken to small cells with taped on labels for the moment with their generations. "Continue the construction and round up efforts we want to see how fast they spread."

This was all a game, Sitara knew as the creatures eyed her. They were like dogs, beings that went wild unless trained, and Sitara was set to teach them a few tricks. They circled around her, seeing her as the source of dark energy. There eyes showed signs of threat, and their mouths watered with hunger. The infected. Sitara thought, as she began to generate more lightning for them to feed off of.

Okay guys, it’s time to bow down to your master.

She giggled at the thought. As long as they didn’t scratch her, she’d be fine. She shouldn’t be intimidated by these…lesser beings. Her fingers started to draw out lightning and she charged it a few feet away from her. The creatures started to swarm before it, even if the lightning was incredibly deadly and shouldn’t be touched directly.

Heh.

The Sith were being thorough in their collection of subjects and in making this facility. It was already feeling dark and frightening, and it was only to become more so as it progressed. The Rendili woman made a note to herself unless she was asked to come down to the location that she would avoid passing by it in whatever free time she had. It gave her the chills, even despite the changes done to her and her perception. Nevertheless, she was at least able to admire the speed with which the construction was going and the level of control the Sith were exuding in collecting subjects. Camellia still had her complaints with the direction Lady Praelior was taking with the number and level of infected, but that could possibly be attributable to her desire to turn all that came with the package.

Balaya looked at the one who was feeding and working to control the creatures. A grin on her face as the massive fourteen foot sith lord stood in the control room clapping but knowing the one who was sending the transmission wasn't able to send the sound from her. She looked at the display the engineers were creating as she pressed that dark aura to empower and for those who used the darkside like Sitara the dark motivation and empowerment of the warlords. No bond and blood ritual needed to make her brave and strong just proximity. She looked to see how it effected Camellia Swift with her being one of the generation zeroes who were the primary source of the infected. "Pet submit to a blood test so we can make sure it is working properly." She motioned to the machine they had being made but it would need something to judge and start showing the degradation from a pure source.

Well, she was probably doing her job right. They were practically like dogs now, and she could most likely train them while giving them dark energy to feed off as a treat. She grinned as they continued to follow her around as she moved, watching, waiting for her next attack. Each ray of lightning struck on them was like a drug to them, and their mouths watered in anticipation for the next one. Sitara smiled. This was all too easy, but if she continued exerting effort like this, she might just pass out.
