Hyperworks and Driveyards Cont.

((Continued because this was happening in the dominion but it closed allowing no more posts: http://starwarsrp.net/topic/50240-hyperworks-and-driveyards-os-dominion-of-rendili/))

It was done, so far the entirety of the shipyards, along with the stations in the defensive array, were completely converted. No human existed anymore in any of those locations, instead each and every one of them had become a croa. Which also meant a distinct lack of males as well due to the infected species unique characteristic. However, those facts weren't what was important now, what was actually center stage now was the fact that since the orbital platforms had been all their inhabitants transformed, the planet below was now ripe for infection.

Everyone on Rendili was oblivious to their fates, to what was going on. The Sith invasion and the "ongoing" negotiations were on everyone's mind as the Capital especially was tense after the battle that had been fought within it. For all intents and purposes the world was on lockdown for the reasons of defense against invaders until agreeable conditions were met for surrender. In truth though, the reason had been for the subtle conversion of the majority of the world's defenders before making the move to turn everyone on Rendili into Croa.

This was all in their favor now. Rendili's population was unsuspecting, over half its military was already converted, and with the defensive orbital station array under the control of the Croa there was no escape for the denizens below. Anyone who attempted to flee after the Croa began their transformation of their former fellows would be caught by the tractor beams of the stations or patrol ships under the Croa's control and infected once drawn in. Camellia had spent a long time calculating everything since her conversion into the new creature she had become.

It had taken especially great effort to plan out the infection rate to account for the degrading effects of later generations of infected. Having to plan out to keep most people on the orbital stations under the sixth generation where there were practically no side effects so they kept their skills and talents had been an immense chore and added to the time it took. The communication jamming and unaware victims though, along with the speedy movements of the transformed Commando and Security units though had greatly helped.

Now she had planned out the rest of her homeworld's conversion. All the humans and near-humans who called it home would become beautiful Croa women. Of course everything had been planned out. Rendili Commando units already turned into Croa, with their advanced training and equipment, would be the spearhead followed by half the converted Security Forces. Their first targets were the remainder of Rendili's groundside military complexes, installations, and academies. The objective was to wipe out the major resistance Rendili's unconverted population might put up first, leaving the regular citizens mostly helpless and easy to infect at a rate where they could organize and avoid the virus degradation in later generations if possible.

As the first dropships and shuttles of Croa could be seen from the shipyard command center's viewports, Camellia wondered what the news and forecast was on Rendili for the day. She smiled imagining how it would be after a few days as rumors and news spread of the infection. . . .and the invasion.

"Shhh shhh shh hush now." Balaya stood looking down while her finger was over the face of another before she was looking. "There is much to do and you talking will only distract from the important things. Now off you go. I have things to test out with my servants." The sith voice let herself move away as she snapped to the four standing guard with her. "You four go and do as you need to and handle it quietly... or if failing that, make sure viable test data is recorded. We want to make sure everything works going forward." Her lips curled into a wicked smile as she was walking away and held a hand out. "Come along little one, we shall see about your world and people and handle the more dangerous parts of it all. We'll have to continue carefully and see what should be improved."

It was honestly rather unfortunate for the remainder of Rendili's military that they were inevitably being attacked by their former comrades without even knowing it. The Croa who had once been Rendili Commandos, encompassed in their elite combat armor, showed no signs of being any different with their ears, tail, and the rest of their altered appearance hidden from view. No one would stop them either as they landed of course. These were Rendili shuttles from orbit, orders from command, already infected when the shipyards were taken over when the virus was first unleashed, stated they were to reinforce the ground positions should the Sith attempt a second invasion of the ground en masse. Thus the Commandos were unquestioned and unstopped as they would make their way to each major base's command, communication, and security centers.

Then, all around Rendili where the Commandos converted into Croa were sent, at once they struck once the command was given over the assigned frequency. Security Control Rooms were taken over first, the commandos removing their helmets to leap upon the soldiers guarding them, biting them where their armor exposed them, infecting them, holding them long enough so that they would succumb to the virus and fall unconscious while it converted them, unable to raise the alarm. At the same time communications center and command staff of each military installation were attacked at the same time, in the same manner, so that the now Croa Rendili Commandos could hold the comm arrays so that no word could get out, and no one was around anymore to provide orders to the soldiers on base.

From there as they kept a tight hold on the rooms they had taken hold of, they would use the resources they had just acquired, the cameras and base defenses from the Security Control Room, and the comms system as well, to herd the Rendili Security Forces on each base through false orders or commands for support on a small issue to closed off areas in small groups where they were then taken by surprise by the converted commandos and infected as their fellows and superiors already were. In this fashion the major military bases of Rendili on the ground were transformed quietly, efficiently, bloodlessly. Most bases were converted without anyone catching on to the very end, and by then there was just not enough uninfected to coordinate any sufficient action. Not to take out their attackers, not to escape, and not to even take back the comms to warn anyone else.

The comms would come back to life on all the military installations though, just to come over the frequency the transformed Commandos were using, to inform their commander, Camellia, that they had taken over successfully. It was honestly a very impressive start. It had been very tense taking over the shipyard, so long, so much spent to keep up without being noticed, and then also to coordinate keeping everyone in the early generations of infected. Now that that was over though, it had been easy to systematically infect the defense station arrays with the duplicity they revealed before. Now it was even easier as the smaller bases on the ground were taken over as well.

No more action would be taken for the day as the Croa maintained the comms and status reports to smaller bases and checkpoints to keep up the appearance of normal routines. However, by the next day, all who had been infected at the major bases were picking themselves from the ground wherever they had drifted off after being bitten, now all Croa women regardless of what they were like before, picking up their armor and weapons and equipment and getting back to their duties with energetic smiles to each other, pleased with how they were remade. They were still soldiers of Rendili, their jobs did not change after being turned. They were simply better now. A stronger species, a more elegant one, one that could and would consume the uninfected by their will, and whose allegiance had merely shifted to new masters.

Camellia would smile as she saw images of the converted inhabitants of the military bases, and she would begin the next step. Ordering all the commandos to once more take to their shuttles and depart to the rest of the smaller checkpoints and barracks around the planet. Lady Praelior likely was aware of this progress as well, but nonetheless Camellia would visit the Croa's, such as her new self, maker, to see the Sith Master watching Rendili's news, though it seemed things truly had gone well as the Croa woman watched the Sith check several broadcasts. No one knew anything yet, and that would hopefully stay that well until they began on the general population. "Everything appears to be going well Lady Praelior, although it seems we will need to adjust combat armor for everyone because of the virus's developments."

Balaya let her eyes drift over it all, she had a few ideas on how to improve the efficiency of the virus while she was watching and sat down. Her seat on the large Savan class quite a sight to behold. The only part of the bridge on the ship she needed. They had slowly been bringing in the Kree ships that displayed what she wanted. "Ensure that Camellia Swift is brought here to us to see more of her world. It will not burn but contain it." The faces of the soldiers who were on the ship starring at her. "What is it my dears? I know you have seen worse things done then this. The massacre at Ashera to create the Nightmare child being one of them." That was the grin on her face while she was setting it up and snapped her fingers to get a display of the world. Droids working to try and track infection levels and medical droids to see to the vitals for information and data. "Now let us see how well Lady Swift preforms with her world, she might still have some sense of loyalty to it after all."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

The Savan class was quite the sight, although Camellia had several design flaws she could point out that reflected some of the poor choices for the shape of a warship. Although if it were a carrier it was possibly terrifying considering its size and how the size could be packed full of fighters or bombers and shuttles to decimate an enemy or subjugate whole worlds. Still, there were big ships out there the Rendili woman preferred for herself, not that she would openly complain to her SIth Mistress, who had just called her over to said Savan class vessel. The next phase of her homeworld's conversion would be commence at the turn of the day, so she hoped her Mistress didn't have a lot of problems son they could be ready, unless the reason she was being called over had something to do with the plan? Regardless, Camellia smiled happily as her tailed swayed behind her as she approached the maker of the Croa who all of Rendili were wonderfully being turned into. "You requested my presence Lady Praelior? I hope nothing's displeasing you with our progress, I'm sorry if we're moving too slow Mistress."

[member="Camellia Swift"]

"Your progress is going well enough." She held a grin and activating the viewscreen of the ships interior where the two kilometer space held racks of sithspawn and soldiers. Just larger in the size of her greatest pet and built for landing on planets to deploy tens of thousands of creatures or soldiers. Balaya sat there watching the scans before she spoke again holding a hand out with her armored gauntlet overturned. "As with everything I have seen on Rendili I am both impressed and disappointed. Disappointed at the lack of anything other then your own people helping and impressed at their abilities. The Republic has been doing you my dear a disservice in abandoning you so they could rush after worlds like Alderaan that will take time to remove the vong influence or Kashyyyk that fell. Manaan where we turned the kolto into something worthless and used it to make a special pit." She motioned with a large finger for her to come closer. "Tell me all about those beautiful troopers I saw."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

Oh yes, at this point Camellia wouldn't even have had to be transformed into the Sithspawn Croa creature she was now to feel disdain for the Republic. They had abandoned Rendili, they had abandoned the entirety of the Inner Rim. Even Kuat! The Rendili woman of course felt a rivalry with the other world since KDY was Rendili Stardrive's biggest competitor throughout the ages, but it was definitely an important world for anyone, and the Republic had abandoned it just as readily as they gave up Rendili, just so they could hold the backwaters to the Southeast? Camellia would be the first to say she was disappointed and felt a brokerage of trust with the Republic.

It didn't help either that her Sith Mistress was now showing her an invasion force likely meant to subjugate her world if the Croa virus had failed. Casualties would have amounted in the tens of thousands if the Planetary Security Forces had fought with these Sithspawn and Sith Troopers, and if the Home Defense Fleet had destroyed itself fighting however many ships the Sith Navy brought to clear the path for those monsters the death toll would likely have even reached the hundred thousands too. So now the young woman was only three times happier that Lady Praelior had infected and turned all the humans on her world into wonderful Croa. It not only made them all better but it spared so many lives.

She was more than happy to tell her mistress about the converted soldiers carrying out the infection of the planet. "Lady Praelior those would be the Rendili Commando units. Elite members of the Security Forces. Rendili Stardrive had just equipped them with Phrik armor even so that they could fight against the Sith without as much fear of being cut down by lightsabers. They have superior training and skills to the regular soldiers, and their armor hides their features. These factors are why I selected them to go down and infect the military installations on the ground. Taking out the security and comm control rooms left them easy prey, and taking out command staff at each location too kept them disorganized. It makes me, and they as well mistress, so happy that made us all better creatures as Croa. Many of the commandos were formerly men too and have expressed their satisfaction with their new bodies, though they comment that they need new armor like their comrades who were female to begin with to better fit them, though even those who were already female complain they require alterations for their ears and tail. Beginning tomorrow though the infection will start spreading to civilian populations as well. Everything has been planned out, hospitals and police/security stations will be hit first, then maybe the news and comm centers. We expect panic the next few days, but since the entirety of the military has been converted we estimate that there will be a 1% casualty rate planet wide at most. And those mostly just due to those who panic and mistakenly believe what they'll become is something wrong."

She was looking upon her and now with the invasion force they were moving. The Savan class designed to enter orbit and land on a planet... a compliment since this was the woman who inspired it. The fighting on zeltros a problem that showed the danger of transports for getting sithspawn to different worlds. She was listenign about the troopers presented and smirked while bringing her own screen up again. "We'll be heading towards the surface and a remote area. To test and process your world. I want as many of your elites to be brought there as can be so we have defenses while the subjects are used as needed." She had some plans displaying on the screen while she was motioning wiht her hand and the apprentice Elara came to her side. Standing in the black armor while her hood was up. "Elara make sure the invasion ships deploy as needed. We'll let the ones alive feel the fear and they will not know what is happening until it is too late." The girl bowed her head in agreement and understanding as she was moving off towards the consoles to direct what they had.

The Rendili woman was oblivious to any inspirations she may have caused, however, she was quite attentively listening to every word the Sith Lady was saying to her. Heading towards the planet on a ship this size? Sure the orbital defense station array was fully under the control of the Croa already, but the majority of the population of the planet below was unturned. The military bases and the soldiers groundside were all transformed, but with the civilians still blissfully unaware of anything maybe a giant Sith vessel would give something away? "What are we doing with this ship? The military installations and their inhabitants have been overtaken and the planetary security force is down for the most part, but most of the civilians haven't been finished off yet. The full scale conversion begins tomorrow maam, are you going to land anywhere near a population center?"

She hoped she hadn't just failed to pay attention or misheard things that made more sense than what she was thinking right now. Why bring the ship down at all yet though was Camellia's only question really.

[member="Camellia Swift"]

"They will do what they are designed to do. Draw attention away from the true purpose. Your people will not go near the sithspawn and in that area we'll be able to properly work on and organize the viruses properties." She had other reasons, it was easier to hide a base on a planet then in orbit. Easier to try and contain as well with the right series of explosives and purge explosives. She was bring up designs for it as she spoke. "What did you believe was going to happen? The world is ripe for experimentation and there is a great deal beyond simple viruses that can be cultivated here."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

It would cause too much of a stir before the conversion of the rest of the planet's population was underway. Camellia could think of many different ways for them to handle the situation and she hoped that the Sith woman who had created the Croa was not too displeased with the suggestions. "There are much more subtler ways to handle things maam. With the majority of the military converted we can easily explain the ship coming down is a transport carrying supplies for military tests and that civilians are being kept away for their own safety. We can deploy a few of the already transformed for the duty as well that way anyone caught can be turned into a Croa as well. That way the people aren't in a panic and on a rise before we start spreading the infection throughout the rest of the populace. I know of a decent mountain range where this ship can try to set down nearby or within, a deep enough valley would be a good location?"

[member="Camellia Swift"]

She was looking at her and raised an eyebrow. They needed to be careful and she starred at the woman for a long moment letting her breath come out while she moved. "My dear pet, we must be careful about our work. People will look at Rendili having these new things. It is not enough to convert a planet, it is not enough to spread." She was looking at her and that demeanor flared away. "The croa will need to be tested in secret while maintaining Rendili as a normal planet that conducts business. We are not converting at random. After today each batch will be tested and converted slowly to understand what needs to be refined. What needs to be fixed in the initial design, I will find and correct the flaws."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

Camellia was actually rather confused at this point, and was at a loss to what was going on with all the sudden deviations in the plans. "But you can conduct the tests and experiments all the same anyway. If we don't carry out the rest of the planet's conversion as planned then we won't be to contain the situation. Once people find out they'll panic and we might not be able to stop a mass exodus or even fight back if the populace retaliated. Let the invasion commence as planned while the base of operations you desire for testing is being constructed Lady Praelior. We can keep a few of the urban centers lockdown better than the entire planet, especially if we convert more of the population as a buffer. We can still begin whatever tests are possible too while it goes on and the labs are worked on too."

[member="Camellia Swift"]

She looked at the girl and stood tall while moving. The ship touched down while she took a lift down... down the hanger bay that was filled and opened. Her sithspawn going out while the soldiers were going to work. She was looking at the spread of the infection and paying closer attention to the levels as she spoke into the comlink. "Begin the construction commander and ensure we break ground. Then begin containment. I need viable subjects and footage of the ones who couldn't be infected." She knew from reports and history that sometimes there were natural immunities. Even to engineered viruses much like the blackwing. They would have to work while she kept going. "If you are attacked by infected you are authorized to kill them." She turned her attention back now. "The tests will prove useless on a population that is fully infected, the infected lifespan is unknown. They could survive for years or the virus spreading burn through their systems and kill them in days. A dead planet serves no purposes to anyone."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

"That's why I just said maam let us carry out the conversion as planned but give us targets to avoid. We can make it so certain population centers are quarantined and are stuck on lockdown, but so that we can still gain dominant control of the planet. 10-20% of the population of a planet is still a sizeable amount to experiment on from scratch as well as leave as a buffer in case of failure. However, we have exactly less than that number infected already, and if the remaining 88% were to retaliate then if even one of them fled the system we could potentially see the entire project in jeopardy. What is the plan to keep the entire population in check and keep them from going to ground or attempting escape if we don't subjugate a solid percentage first?" Camellia was just so confused. This didn't make any sense to her. They had worked so hard to get to this part and this had been the plan from the start, why were they stopping now when they were so close to overwhelming the planet. They could still leave a number of people uninfected if that was what Lady Praelior wanted, but halting the original plan was so terribly risky. . .

[member="Camellia Swift"]

She was standing in the lift now as it finished coming down, the red headed and tall battle lord that served her on Manaan stood at the ready with a war band as it grunted. Smaller then the sith voice but still nine feet while she was in scales and fur. "The plan was to take the world which we have done, the plan was to infect the population which has been done." She placed a hand on the battle lords shoulder. "I need workers, bring the men on the world to the location indicated and begin digging. Have the women and the children prepped as needed to the Roanoke class we brought into the mountains and make sure anything more advanced then a paper cup is destroyed. We have jammers and communications being blocked for now." The red head gave a now of her head while she moved mounting a hydra with a snarl to fly off. The others smaller and more techs came up. "My lord we will begin right away and have the leviathans transported to the cities." She gave a nod of her head to that and grinned. "Good if anyone acts up make sure an example is made by feeding them to the leviathans. Then issue to orders to Omega squad and our ships in orbit. Anything that isn't sith that comes close... Kill it."

[member="Darth Praelior"]

Well it appeared as though things were no longer going according to plan. Camellia had to admit now she was very confused about anything they had to do since they were being told to stand down and put the infection of the planet on hold. In truth she didn't think it was going to work out well if they waited to conduct experiments and something happened, but she wasn't the one in charge and she couldn't well really disobey the Sith Lady who had created her and the other Croa. Still, she wished there hadn't been a change of plans since now she had a lot less to do without the coordination of the conversion of the world. There was likely to be some roles Praelior needed for her and the other Croa to perform, but it would likely be over a longer period of time and be more menial. . . .

[member="Camellia Swift"]

Balaya felt it, that change of emotion while she was walking down the ramp into the group of soldiers and technicians. From the other ships that had been brought while what croa they had here were standing still. The weaker willing and newly infected remaining as she spoke. "What did we see from the city Elara?" The teenager came presenting what they had showing mauled bodies in the streets as well as carnage. There was burning bodies from the flame units as they were directing survivors into safe zones from the virus. Spin doctors who could work magic and soldiers working to put down the lesser generations of infected that wouldn't follow orders. Omega squad were moving with their walker taking shots as they showed the newest jedi plague to come from them to try and undermine the sith. The worlds they controlled weren't stupid but mass manipulation of the younger generations would set up the future. Balaya looked at Camellia and raised an eyebrow as she spoke. "Do you have any input for this facility pet?"

[member="Darth Praelior"]

It was such a waste. . . .the Sith had thrown the Croa to infect the cities only to be killed by them to make a show about quarantine. Camellia felt her own opinion had been reasonable and would have achieved the same result but she wasn't in charge and it was immensely clear at that point. At least in the end the main objective was the same, at least the Rendili woman hoped it was as her eyes wandered over the monitors showing a chaos she felt should never have happened. It was Lady Praelior's will though. "It has a decent location to remain hidden without many people bothering to pick around. Too difficult to reach and since people might hear its sith that would also deter them. Its in a naturally defensible location as well so if it were attempted to be breached it could be readily defended before anyone got inside. The only better place would be underground within one of the mountains themselves, though the effort to hollow one out would be enormous and overly expensive."

[member="Camellia Swift"]

Balaya was looking at the prefabricated walls being assembled to create the border pf the base. Sections getting dug into the ground and more would be added as sub levels later on. There was some sections being mapped out while Balaya moved to find a seat and could observe, a replica of her chair from the bridge of the ship there she could be in. "That will do, though we will have other security measures in place to keep it safe." She was going to unleash other sithspawn and keep breeding pits, maybe try and see if they could pick up the rozzum experiments as well. Nothing like an interdimensional that could kill people painfully defending her prizes. For now she would watch the screens while infection levels were being controlled and procedures followed to block communications. "Now lets see the beginnings of the fun, I wonder where the leviathan breeding pits should go?"
