It was done, so far the entirety of the shipyards, along with the stations in the defensive array, were completely converted. No human existed anymore in any of those locations, instead each and every one of them had become a croa. Which also meant a distinct lack of males as well due to the infected species unique characteristic. However, those facts weren't what was important now, what was actually center stage now was the fact that since the orbital platforms had been all their inhabitants transformed, the planet below was now ripe for infection.
Everyone on Rendili was oblivious to their fates, to what was going on. The Sith invasion and the "ongoing" negotiations were on everyone's mind as the Capital especially was tense after the battle that had been fought within it. For all intents and purposes the world was on lockdown for the reasons of defense against invaders until agreeable conditions were met for surrender. In truth though, the reason had been for the subtle conversion of the majority of the world's defenders before making the move to turn everyone on Rendili into Croa.
This was all in their favor now. Rendili's population was unsuspecting, over half its military was already converted, and with the defensive orbital station array under the control of the Croa there was no escape for the denizens below. Anyone who attempted to flee after the Croa began their transformation of their former fellows would be caught by the tractor beams of the stations or patrol ships under the Croa's control and infected once drawn in. Camellia had spent a long time calculating everything since her conversion into the new creature she had become.
It had taken especially great effort to plan out the infection rate to account for the degrading effects of later generations of infected. Having to plan out to keep most people on the orbital stations under the sixth generation where there were practically no side effects so they kept their skills and talents had been an immense chore and added to the time it took. The communication jamming and unaware victims though, along with the speedy movements of the transformed Commando and Security units though had greatly helped.
Now she had planned out the rest of her homeworld's conversion. All the humans and near-humans who called it home would become beautiful Croa women. Of course everything had been planned out. Rendili Commando units already turned into Croa, with their advanced training and equipment, would be the spearhead followed by half the converted Security Forces. Their first targets were the remainder of Rendili's groundside military complexes, installations, and academies. The objective was to wipe out the major resistance Rendili's unconverted population might put up first, leaving the regular citizens mostly helpless and easy to infect at a rate where they could organize and avoid the virus degradation in later generations if possible.
As the first dropships and shuttles of Croa could be seen from the shipyard command center's viewports, Camellia wondered what the news and forecast was on Rendili for the day. She smiled imagining how it would be after a few days as rumors and news spread of the infection. . . .and the invasion.
