hyperspace ring?

Hey,

I was thinking about making a gigantic Hyperspace Ring, like smaller ships use (like jedi fighters) but larger for something special.

Just wanted to ask whether it would be a technology temp or a starship temp?

Mark is right, if you wish to create a fac tory sub for this technology then it would be under technology then be added to a ship as a feature. Alternatively, if you're not thinking about changing the tech, just upscaling it the wookiepedia article would do.

John Locke my intention was to make a hyperspace ring that could fit onto a gigantic being, ei, a past sub of mine.

Will this still work? It resides in space and could easily survive the travel.

Technically yes, if it can be attached and provide power then it might be able to survive travel in this way. It's not something I believe that has ever been approached in canon, most creatures venturing into hyperspace have non tech means, such as the Vong or the Purgills.

It would all depend on the creature, but it should be possible.

It can survive in deep space as well as at the edge of a planet's atmosphere.
