Description:

Expanding on the popularity of the Mun'Beviin Anti-Material Rifle and similar energy enveloped projectile weaponry in use by Mandalorians throughout the galaxy, Mandal Hypernautics Engineers set out to create a support automatic weapon that utilized the same technology to bring down heavy infantry and light vehicles.

The weapon uses existing technology to pair the hard hitting and high penetration of a high caliber slug thrower with the thermal energy and effectiveness of a blaster weapon. The projectiles from this weapon are capable of penetrating thick walls, most vehicle armor, and most infantry armor with relative ease. The projectiles cause grievous wounds and heavy damage to whatever organic or synthetic targets find themselves downrange of the weapon. In many cases, even when said targets are behind cover.

Similar to the Mun'Beviin, this heavy, automatic weapon is also modular and is capable of equipping various suppressors, scopes, and other secondary equipment. The weapon comes equipped with a bipod or tripod standard and is often mounted on anchored turrets. An added benefit to the design is its compatibility with alternative ammunition in its caliber.

When used as a mobile weapon for infantry, the weight of the rifle and the ammunition can be a major downside. In most cases, the weapon cannot be utilized unless the user first sets the weapon up on a mount and fires from a stationary position. This is due to the extreme weight and bulkiness of the weapon, its use in close quarters is near non-existent and its use without a proper mount is almost guaranteed to cause severe injury to the user.

The heavy, .52 caliber ammunition is belt fed and is typically loaded in boxes of 120 rounds. The power pack for the weapon is external and is often installed on the side of the ammo box that accompanies the weapon. The power supply on the external box is capable of enveloping the full 120 rounds of ammo held in the box. Larger boxes of ammunition come equipped with larger power packs to accompany the appropriate amount of ammunition.

Though the weapon fires at a maximum rate of 8 rounds a second (480 rounds a minute), the weapon has still proven effective as an anti-aircraft weapon as well. The weapon has a maximum effective range of 1,600 meters standard, 1850 meters when mounted on a bipod, and 2,000 meters when stabilized by a tripod or fully stationary mount.
