Kay blinked. Her earliest memory? From when? After she was born? Did he want her whole life story? Yes his one request has brought on a whole heap of questions instead of the answers that he seemed to be looking for.

"Do you mean my first memories from here? Or after I was born?..." Oh she hoped that he didn't want her life story. She'd need some tea for that. And besides, some of it is probably already on the holonet anyways.

Thraxis just waited patiently. "Mam, if we are too get to the bottom of the problem, we need to first know everything about you. There is little that we currently know about you and it would help us very much to know you better. I do believe it would be best if you start from the start rather then start and have to connect the dots." he retorted, he needed information more then anything else. It would help in the veil as well as give him and the Cartel crucial information.

"Now then. May we please start? We have been very patient and the suspense of finally being able to give you the freedom you desire is quite exhilarating." he said once more with that same thin veil that he had been using this entire time he had been in these doctors clothing.

The mention of regaining her freedom finally made her very happy. But start from the very beginning? Kay didn't remember much of anything from her childhood. She couldn't remember her parents, had no idea if she had any siblings. Yet she didn't want to tell him that, for he might try to figure out why she didn't remember. The simple fact as far as she could tell was that she just forgot. And that's normal, isn't it?

"Well I was born, grew up at the Academy, went through puberty, met my husband, got married, got kicked out of the Order, shortly after that my husband was murdered, I hid from everyone for about five years, came back, started to fight oppressors and slavers, was elected as a Senator, and continued with the fight. I was tricked into surrendering, got rescued from a slave camp, just to find myself here. That's about it."

Everything but the details.

As she spoke Thraxis quickly started to write down every word, the scratching of pen on paper was something he rarely every heard, though the noise was quickly ended. Is that all. Wha- damn it! She was meant to give a speech! I thought that is what the Senate does all the time! I mean, for Space Christ sake, Ive seen a mute man talk more then that! He thought to himself as he heard the pitiful sentence.

Thraxis took a deep breath, clearly she was just being stubborn at this point. "Ok. Well since we know the basics, let us get some more in-depth information. You said your husband was murdered yes? Tell me about him. And then tell me about why you were kicked out of the order." he said in a caring voice, changing the undertone with some empathy.

He quietly listened, his hand tightly gripping his pen and getting ready to write down anything that she said that would be of importance. Though he felt like she was just going to jump through hoops with him the whole time, he remained optimistic that maybe she would be reasonable. Which was an unreasonable thing to think.

Kay scratched an imaginary itch on her arm. She tended to do that almost every time that she spoke about her husband and his death. She hadn't moved past that and never planned on doing so.

"Shaw was a warrior, a diplomat and a Dark Lord. He protected me and I healed him after his battles. We both stopped many disputes and it was.....wonderful." She paused for a while as she just stared at nothing in particular. Kay didn't want to relive the horror again as she told the tale. So she tried to simplify it all and make it far less personal than it was. "A Sith Lord hated me, said that I was holding Shaw back. He did what he could to try to control me, to break up our marriage and when that didn't work, he killed my husband."

Well that seemed to go okay. She fidgeted with her fingernails. "I got kicked out of the Order because I disobeyed the Council and married Shaw..." Or at least that was what she thought. The main reason was that her power of influence, her ability to rally powerful people to her cause and draw powerful enemies to her, made her a threat to the Academy and the Order itself. So she was banished.

Thraxis raised an eyebrow, his hand twitched with joy at those words. It seemed that some Sith's had some respect for this art form, "Ahh. Now I can see why you have this complex. But do tell me, what is this Sith's name. As well as your husbands please." he said with a sympathetic inflection in his voice, though after he said his sentence he realized something huge, She was married to a Sith? And a Sith Lord no less. Why, they should stand against everything she believes in. He thought to himself and pondered over this ever present question.

After a few moments of contemplation Thraxis waited for Lady Kay he took a swig of his coffee, taking out his pen he began scratching down every word she had said before, taking both physical and mental notes, this was at the very least some very information and did not expect Lady Kay to divulge such information.

"The Sith Lord just had us call him Masq. I don't think we ever found out his real name. Just Darth Masquerader is what he went by. He could change his appearance at will." She didn't think that she had to repeat her husband's name as she had already spoken it a few times. "I don't want to talk about it anymore...."

Answering the question of how her husband had died had become a weekly thing, it seemed. And now she just wanted to let that subject drop. There was no reason for her to become a blubbering mess.

As he finished scratching down the words he accepted what he had gotten and responded, "I understand. Now that you have helped us get further into the bottom of this problem, tell me. Which member of the republic would you like us to contact. It is likely we can only get one so choose wisely." he said in a calm voice, content with the information he squeezed out of his victim.

He took his medical board and reviewed what he had learned so far, his eyes pacing against the paper and making sure he missed nothing, Married to a Sith and was tortured by a Sith named Masquerade that didn't like that she dated a that Sith and it was ruining his potential. Went against the order which ended in her being booted. Said Husband was murdered by Masquerade and then I suppose she joined the Republic at some time. Seems she can't make friends with everyone. Interesting. He thought to himself, all the while keeping his ears out for anything else she may with to divulge.

Only one? But who to choose? She could hardly count any of them as friends. She knew a few Jedi, but they weren't quite in the Republic. Kay wondered why only one person would be able to be contacted. What is going on out there and how long had she been here? As far as she could tell, it had only been a couple of days. But the doctor there had insisted that she had been there longer.

Finally, after some more thinking, she spoke of a name, " [member="Faith Balor-Organa"] . Please." She looked up to Thraxis through the window in the door. Hopefully he'd be able to reach the Minister of Intelligence.

Thraxis scratched it down onto a piece of paper, "I will see what we can do. In the meantime I need to go get to filing for her to come here." he said, a malevolent grin growing over his face as he walked away, taking with him the coffee and clipboard a million different thoughts rushed through his head as to who she wanted and what he could do with that information.

As he arrived in his office he sat down, conjuring up different ideas in his head as to how to use this information and how to proceeded. He got a contact, one that was high up too. Now he knew who Lady Kay trusted and atop that he could easily say he could not get in contact with them. His eyes flickered to one of the staff that walked past then looked to the list of people he hired for this stunt, "Now. Who can I get to play a no-name Senate member who had only just joined, and atop that Lady Kay wouldn't even know was a member." he thought as he kept looking down, it would take him a while to figure out who to hire for the job.

After he left, she curled back on the bed again. What else was she going to do? Kay had given him a bit of info on her life, but nothing that wasn't public knowledge anyways. And when Faith arrived, she was sure to bring her some tea. Oh how she missed tea. Already a small headache was forming due to a small withdrawal from her favourite beverage. A nap would help.

Kay soon closed her eyes and meditated a little. But then a thought came into her head that brought her out of her relaxed state. What if the Doctor showed Faith his notes and revealed that she was Force sensitive? She'd be kicked out of the Senate for sure. She curled up into a tighter ball as worrisome thoughts soon took over.

As Thraxis was busy flipping through the pages he realized that he was looking in the wrong places, he needed a Senate member. In other words a politician and all politicians have something in common. Their job is to forge lies and for the right price he was sure he could find one who had issues with Lady Kay.

He spent the better half of the next week looking and scrounging for one to find, the optimal candidate but found two. He sat there for the better half of an hour trying to weigh his options but soon a smirk, filled with the malice that he so longed to feel streaked across his face, his eyes almost popping out as he began to chuckle and pull write out a holo-message. Making sure it was untraceable back to him and annoynomus he spent a day writing it up, making sure it was perfect.
You have been chosen as the prime candidates. This is a gift I give to yous.
I know your past. I know the lies that you can forge.
And now I desire your cunning. I want you to aid my endeavor.
It is not pretty. It will be our little secret. And I promise, that payment is good.
But better yet, a good deed is its own reward.
I need a senate member. Someone like you who would willingly break another of your kind.
And I promise that if this is our secret. Then the payment will be sublime.
Meet me at this Location. Sriluur.
-A Fiend
All of it was encoded to add another layer to it, and never stated his name, not wanting to let the Senate catch onto him. He was taking a huge gamble with this, but knew that if this did work, it would pay off better then he could possibly imagine. At least that is what he hoped, money was hopefully enough to garner there attention.

While Tmoxin had been entertaining the Hutts on Christophis, she had picked up a few contacts that she thought might come in handy. And sure enough, a few days later, the Hapan executive received a holomessage from an anonymous source. The assignment was vague, the source a bit shadowy. It wasn't normally the kind of thing that Tmoxin would dirty her hands with, but the credits on the table were extremely hard to pass up.

But she would be the middle woman in this arrangement. She knew where to find a Senator and a very convincing one at that. It was also a good excuse to spend more time with him.

"Meet you on Sriluur. Pack your finest suits."

She sent him the coordinates, told Beulah she was off on a business trip, and informed the captain of The Sovereign Stingray to ready her yacht for the Tharin Sector.

He had offered no reply to the message sent. He realized given the nature of it, the more their interaction remained untraceable the better. His response would come in the form of his arrival and presence, as he accepted the task, along with its rewarding payment. Corruption was no stranger to this man, and the sounds of credits spent to the tune of lives ruined didn't bother him in the slightest. Of course, today he was not here to ruin lives. Today, he was here to do a good deed, as venerable senator of the Galactic Republic.

To the message sent from [member="Tmoxin Temi"], however, he did come up with a reply. It didn't give too much away. It was a short and playful "I always do." It made him wonder if he had a suit that would not be considered 'his finest suit'. They were different ones, to be sure, but always a certain standard was met. He could afford it. Sure enough, he eventually appeared at the location he was given. As the Hapan would come to expect, he was dressed for the occasion, in a dark blue, tailored suit, with a similarly custom fit vest and shirt underneath. It was time to do business.

Thraxis was awaiting patiently for the Senators to arrive, atop the helipad and sitting comfortably on a foldout chair, he wasn't one to get stiff in the face of politics, and in his eyes it was his vacation after all, inviting others to join in on his adventure.

He pulled out of his shirt a small vial, corking the lid to get a smell of the alcoholic swill that swished inside, his eyes rolling back in his head as he downed the small bottle, making sure no beads roll away from his lips, he hadn't had a drink in a long time and needed something to take the edge of. "Ahhh... the sweet nectar of relief, how I love you." he muttered, his voice almost rolling as he drank the last of the swill dripped down his throat.

As he finished he looked to see a man in fancy linen, dressed like a senator, Thraxis raised his eyebrow, this would either break the illusion or put the final nail into breaking Lady Kay. "G'Day. My Name is Thraxis and this is my hospital." he said with a gleam in his eyes and his mouth streaked into a smirk. "So then. Is there anything you want to talk about or would you rather just get into the fun." he said with a small shine of joy gleaming in every word he uttered, though he remained laying on the chair, looking up to the Senates.

Tmoxin didn't need to say how much she had missed Meryn since their meeting on Bothanwui. Her beaming face, and a firm kiss planted to his lips explained everything. His grooming and wardrobe was perfect. Not just for a politician, but to the eyes of the Hapan who enjoyed the finer things in life herself.

"Come now," she said. "A shuttle will take us to the rendevous point."

A luxury transport deposited the pair onto a helipad where they were to meet this mysterious contact. After deboarding, they saw a rugged man, a little weater-beaten, drinking from a flask. Tmoxin had no proof he was from the Hutt Cartel, but given the fragile relationship between the Techno Union and the Hutts, she was very keen on meeting the contact. Friends close, enemies closer.

His hospital? She cocked a brow at that statement, but carried on:

"This is the Senator of Krant. I am not a Senator, Sir. I'm the CEO of Morpho Pharmaceuticals. Is there anything specific we should know?"

[member="Thraxis"] [member="Meryn Dupont"]

"Ah I see, well none the less sounds political. So now that we no longer need to be cryptic, lets cut to the chase. I have a certain senate member, that is just dying to be told she is not insane. That she did not assault a senate member. But that is, at its core all you need to convince her of that she is just that. Insane. If you feel like embellishing the story, go nuts. I will be observing from a distance. So be careful. If you turn on me... well, lets just say that I ain't the Hutt Cartel Torturer for nothing." he said, his voice mixed with joy and seriousness, if they done there job, then it helps deal with Lady Kay and they get credits, and it helps keep them in check since it wasn't easy to become an official torturer for the cartel.

He pulled the empty bottle to his nose, taking a large swiff of the alcoholic scent that remained in his bottle and his eyes rolled back into his eyes with pure euphoric joy, as little as it was, he had become desensitized to the beautiful scent and taste of alcohol. "So then. I do believe we have kept the good lady waiting long enough. Shall we go and have some fun?" he inquired, interested if they would go through with the deal, or would have to make this their permanent home of residence.

The journey had been uneventful and according to schedule. He had not expected any interruptions. Despite preparing for the worst, he was pleased to see it did not come to pass. Once he met up with Tmoxin again, he was pleased that she chose to greet him with a kiss rather than another form of embrace. His arms around her, and barely contained excitement revealed it was a most welcome gesture, one he returned with pleasure. He followed her into the shuttle. The ride gave them time to catch up, and share their views on today's event.

When they arrived, they were met with a man and the smell of alcohol. He allowed Tmoxin to introduce them, and respond once he asked if they required additional information. She asked the right questions. He was, after all, the one who had called them here. If he wanted the outcome to be a favourable one, it was in his best interest to share whatever information might benefit that. If the outcome disappointed him, he had himself and his briefing to blame. The Senator gave the man a greeting, in the form of a polite nod and a well-rehearsed 'How do you do', that conveyed exactly what it had to but little more.

Without a word, he watched as he shared a few more bits of information. Of course, all signs of pleasantry faded as he had the audacity to threaten them. It was certainly a risk by their contact, given the power they had to flip this whole situation around on him. Threats only served as incentive to do so. He took a few very calculated steps in his direction. The expression of his face gave nothing away. "Repeat that threat one more time, and our arrangement is over." his tone was cold and unforgiving. Clearly, the Senator was not impressed. "I don't respond well to threats." to think he had no power to retaliate, was foolish. He would strike first and last, if it came to it.

"Let's begin." unless of course he would prefer they caught the first shuttle back. Given the brand and fabric of his suit, it was not like he was going to go starving if this visit proved uneventful. The Senator walked to the side, allowing for some space between them again as the tension hopefully dissipated, and moved towards the door.

Thraxis just raised an eyebrow at an empty threat, making a light chuckle, "Heh, threat." in a way that showed that he had no intention of making a threat. Though quickly brushed of an empty remark, he had no intention of sabotaging his situation, so he just went on as he would, pulling himself out of his chair he walked to the door and motioned his hand, "Now then, you will see who you believe to be insane. Worry not. They just really good actors. Couldn't waste any expenses." he chuckled once again, before opening the door.

As the door opened his entire expression changed, his eyes became serious and cold, though would morph to show a false compassion and his stature became more mature and focused, one that he would use when showing someone respect. His voice contorted with this new stature, as well as its mannerisms, "Now then. If you would follow me I will escort you too Lady Kay." he said with a stern voice, his eyes cold and distant and his arm extending to hold open the door.

(OOC: Since Tmoxin knows Lady Kay in a future thread, for this RP she won't actually enter the room that Kay is in)

Meryn, or in this case, his Senator alias, responded to the obvious threat with the perfect amount of menace and calm. Tmoxin could have added her own contribution, but the tension was dissipating. Even though she was outraged that the word "torture" was used, and in such a cavalier manner, the Hapan Dark Jedi knew that ultimately, she could neutralize this Official Torturer with a couple of suggestive thoughts implanted in his head.

Now was also probably not the time to surprise her companion that she was a practitioner of the Force. They were both already in unexpected territory, and although Tmoxin wasn't an intelligence agent, she knew that both of them needed to stay on script to make this work. Even if that meant keeping things from Meryn that she should have probably told him already, if only to keep him focused on the task at hand. As they followed this "doctor" or whatever he was, Tmoxin also kept her distance from him. The man was enveloped in a cloud of alcohol.

"I think it would make sense for our Senator to go in alone to see this patient. My prescence can be explained away as a colleague of yours, Thraxis. You can call me a pharmaceutical representative, but I'd prefer for my identity to not be known to whoever you are holding."

Staying in close proximity to Meryn, she went where instructed by the good doctor.
