OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: A local Consortium hideout and criminal dungeon for Denon.
  • Image Credit: Marvel's Star Wars

SETTING INFORMATION
  • Structure Name: Hutt Consulate
  • Classification: Palace
  • Location: Denon
  • Affiliation: Hutt Council
  • Accessibility: Upcity, between commercial and industrial districts. Access requires an invitation (forged or genuine) from the Hutts who often conduct legitimate trade in between all their criminal dealings.
  • Description: An opulent Hutt palace stains the megacity skyline. Massive alien cupolas gleam brightly. Within the Hutts and their retainers enjoy all the indulgences of home.
POINTS OF INTEREST
  • Consul's Throne Room - No dignified Hutt would entertain company without one.
  • Maintenance Pit - Definitely not for rancors.
  • Kajidic Vaults - Profits are stored here from local transactions as well as anything else valuable the Hutts might collect.
  • Motor Pool - Private skiffs maintained for the rare occasions a Hutt or their associates must travel abroad.
SECURITY
High.
Guarded by nasty looking alien mercenaries. Electronic surveillance and automated defense systems. Infiltrating this facility would require the right skills and planning.

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Everyone was surprised when the Hutt Clans reached out to the Senate. Plans were drawn up for a satellite embassy to foster trade between Alliance border worlds and the "gleaming jewel that is Nal Hutta." Denon's citizens know the real reason: corporate authorities willing to turn a blind eye as long as the right bribes were paid. By the time Alliance politicians realized they were legitimizing a corrupt deal backing out would have provoked diplomatic outrage.

The Hutts maintain a small presence in Denon's underworld compared to the city's major power brokers but their influence on Hutt Space and the spice trade cannot be denied. These criminal enterprises sometimes run counter to the corpos' interests so one never can trust the kajidics or be certain of their intentions.
