Matsu was looking at more of it around them, everywhere they could look and see here in the lookout before their companion spoke. "Please if there is some way to help. There are dangers on the surface and if our guests are signs others might come. Having the visitors be in dangers of being killed will make others think this world is hostile." She was speaking more from the perspective of not trying to scare away potential friends here. There was a look though on the jedi masters face when she looked around at some of the things they had going all around here. With more information for them though they might be able to well make better deals. "Oh I see well, then you should understand that what you consider demns, monsters is not really the truth. We were visitors on this world, slaves brought here to colonize and serve different masters. In order to do that we stopped some of the creatures that were on the planet, living crystal constructs that roamed the surface with these ancient creatures. They even knew the secrets of living for a very long time. They knew how to shape the crystals into something powerful that attracted maybe ten thousand years ago the jedi here to the planet before."

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel was caught up in the story and in the history and knew it would be easy to forget that she was here to perform a specific task. But then, she’d promised to be patient and so she kept to her word.

The planet had a rich history and living crystal constructs were not something she’d encountered before — but they sounded both fascinating and dangerous in equal measures.

And the news that Jedi had been here previously raised one of Sorel’s eyebrows. But the fact that crystals in particular had brought them here was less surprising.

“Did the Jedi use these crystals, or take them from this world?” She was keen to learn as much as she could.

Matsu wa slooking at him and there was a small look of interest on her face while she moved around. Prepared for many of the things itself here with Sorel as they were hearing things. "Yes they took some crystals but once they learned the truth about these crystals they returned them. Jedi as I learned and saw while naturally curious and willing to be respectiful are also human or any species. They do want to examine things themselves. They might not have wanted to overtake the world but they did want to work with us and after they realized many of the dangers they were happy to just let it remain mostly hidden. Scattering the way here in case we ever needed some help where the other jedi would maybe come if we asked for help. We set up some things here in the capital that are part of the old colony ship."

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
As the story developed, Sorel was at once amazed but in an odd way not entirely surprised. It was, in her opinion, quite right for the Jedi to be respectful of other civilisations and to protect not only the rest of the galaxy but the plant and its occupants. So to decide to set away and remove any clear documentation on how to find the planet seemed the sort of thing that Sorel herself would consider if faced with the same dilemma.

And perhaps it explained why so many things felt familiar — albeit many generations removed from what she was used to.

“Did many Jedi remain here or did they mostly leave?” Sorel asked, curious to see if the colony ship was abandoned or purposefully left here to help the planet.

"Some stayed here, there was an entire ship of them, large things made for exploring the galaxy and surveying places of force energy. The ones who stayed wanted to study the water and its long term effects here, learn why so many of the people lived longer life spans despite being humanish. Some were from old cross breeding with other species," They were looking at a number of the other things they might have and Matsu was cusious to see it though, looking around and over though she could see Sorel was thinking about it and this was an interesting fit for them. A chance to learn about what the jedi had done but there was also the possibility that they could see parts of it. "And these jedi that stayed what did they do?" She was wondering now about a few things they had seen. "Oh they tried to make things more humane, they used to treat their former slave masters a lot worse then just under ground cities and basically ignoring them. Even worse was the children that there might have been, they also started teaching ways to use the force forming the different guild halls so the potential wasn't wasted in the people just because they were not part of the galaxy. Some also tried to learn secrets like climbing up here to get ahold of what secret power I offered or to study the oberon below."

Sorel listened and, as a rule, she could understand what the Jedi’s intentions were — although interfering in their politics was a narrow path to tread in case they upset the whole ecosystem and future of the planet. It was something that Jedi were always warned of. It was all very well supporting the greater good, but sometimes leaving things alone was the right decision and not interfering too much.

And then the creature said something she either misunderstood or hadn’t paid full attention to when it was previously mentioned. “Sorry to interrupt, but what is the oberon?”

"Oh yes of course, they are what the creature you encountered is called. Big on illusions and wanting to make connections with people. realy slimy and long life but most importantly they have a culture based on rules and respect." He was walking around and found another place as some of the areas on this almost but not quite city were rather beautiful to see. Matsu knew some fo the things that they were planning and where they might be able to go from here she was guessing but there were a few other murals these ones different and a larger pyre as well as some small garden before he spoke. "well this is interesting but I suppose if you are here for knowledge you are going to be needing to handle it. The trials are not that horrible or hard just seeing if you are able to understand what makes them so dangerous and powerful."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel understood what the creature was talking about now. And the description fitted what she knew so far, but was pleasantly surprised to hear the foe they sought to help the locals with was committed to rules and respect for others. That might give them an opportunity to reason with it, should the opportunity arise.

“We mean to help the people here who have been gracious hosts and whose kin have fallen prey to the creature you talk of. We want both sides to be able to love amicably and not in fear. So I for one am ready for the trials.”

Matsu was in agreement with Sorel about that, a way for them to well learn about and try to fix whatever rift there was between them. It would be important and something they would have to try and do. Matsu was prepared to look at it while she was moving around and looking when the eing spoke. "Ah good, don't worry they aren't like what the jedi normally do. Seeing some ideas of what trials were face. These are more for understanding... though it might be harder with you." They pointed while walking around and setting the staff there on the ground with the bottle. "Given that a lot of what it takes to understand is to connect with them telepathically. Your mind is like a box that I can't get into and so most of them likely won't be able to either." They were waiting there and making a small circle while the ground seeme to get some fog around them. "The first thing to get that bottle. THe water inside grants understanding and knowledge as it is from the purest source of the river below."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel nodded. There was no easy solution to the conundrum for connecting with any of the Force sensitives here. Her physical and mental make-up meant she could not simply allow anyone access to her mind — even if she wanted to. And that could cause a problem going forward with the trials.

And as she contemplated this, she answered her Master. “Can we use the Force to get the bottle? Use Telekinesis perhaps?”

"You can try." The being was smaller then Matsu but they seemed compared to many of the others to be just as strong. More so maybe as Matsu was ooking at the bottle before she felt something on her. Her body getting heavier and she was looking at him. "Clever." She was looking at Sorel and dampening wasn't a mental attack but it was like putting wet and heavy blankets around an area to make larger scale force use harder. You needed to know how to use the force at the microscopic level with art of the small as she and Sore knew to use it. "That is one way to make sure others can't just gab it." But she could see more of it now and understood why it might be difficult to do. THe jedi master moving and the guardian was fast on his feet as she got closer to the botte and idn't attack in anger more as a means to defect and sho there had to be another way.

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel observed Matsu and felt her access the Force and was also aware how the creature was able to stop them simply grabbing the bottle or Force Pulling it to them.

So the trial was definitely a challenge and she decided to speak openly to her Master as they sought to overcome the test.

“The first question to answer is if the Force is the solution, or should we use a different method, maybe even White Current?” Sorel wondered what would happen if she made the item appear to disappear whilst her Master looked to take it.

Hmm Matsu was able to move around just find, it was like being weighed down when you went to use the force and she stood next to Sorel thinking about it for a moment. "Agreed, the force might not be the way to do it and just normal rushing him might work but he or she seems to be quick on their feet." With a look at the guardian and then at Sorel though she was thinking about it and there didn't seem to be any real time to what they were doing. Just something that they needed to learn to overcome. In some cases like this she could think of a thing or two that would work best. "White current might work out as a means, can't really hurt to try. Well done." She said it with a small grin and started focusing on herself, to immerse and let Sorel build and work up her own skills while standing there.

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel was no master with White Current. She couldn’t hide a building — nor a group of people — but she could hide herself and one other.

So a simple container was well within her grasp, even if she was not standing next to it.

So she concentrated and connected to the White Current and once she knew she was in control, she extended her hand and the receptacle initially shimmered and then disappeared from view. She was aware her Master had also vanished to the naked eye and also was aware that Matsu could see the container, and the fact it hadn’t moved.

She hoped the simple but effective sleight of hand would be enough for them to be able to take it.

Matsu was letting the force be he guide for a time but slowly she was focusing the energies themselves here as she was immersed into the white current. Letting herself feel Sorel and feel where it was being used. She could see within the current before the jedi master moved around now. THe guardian didn't seem able to see them as she moved but held the staff with the container on it. She was guessing as a means for them to have to come towards them. Matsu herself was moving carefully around before she could see it and they were all moving off for now. he jedi master saw the guardian look towards her as she watched some parts of it. Seeing where they would be looking at all of it here. Matsu moved while the guardian was going around. Giving chase and letting the white current hide her from sight. "You might be able to go invisible but you can't change your weight. Up here listening to your movement will tell where you are always."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel smiled as their plan — carefully laid and well executed — came to nothing. She wasn’t entirely sure how the guardian could hear them, but it was clear that he could, or maybe he was just a good bluffer.

Either way, Sorel released her control of the White Current and the container immediately appeared.

She faced where she knew her Master to have been. “Your turn,” she said simply. “My idea came up short.”

Matsu looked at Sorel as she moved back near her and was standing there to check it out. "Not quite we have learned a few things in this. The being up here is fast, there is normal speed sure but a trained body to move around and compared to us the acclimation to it all." She pointed around. "The air is thin up here, still around but moving around quickly can take time which is why." She was pointing at the ground and there were small grooves in the tiles from repeated use. "The environment is to their advantage, no doubt practice this and just like a djem so user, you know the ground around you." She was saying it and laying it out for Sorel but also thinking about some of the other things cause between the two of them most of the other jedi easily outweighed them. "For the weight though, I don't know if their hearing is that good or it was a bluff." She was looking to think of a plan and had a small grin on her face as she focused. "It might be a longshot but I do have some ideas of what we can do. You distract him and let me get a little time to focus." Matsu moved to the side and pass, fail there was always a chance but they could try everything... and something the best way of doing it was to throw the sink at it.

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel was unsure what to do next, so took notice of her Master’s words. Knowledge was never a bad thing, but experience was a great tool to have in your repertoire. And Sorel had a lot to learn from Matsu in this regard.

So the plan was for Sorel to distract the guardian whilst her Master made an attempt to take the container.

And the simplest way, Sorel thought, was to speak to the guardian.

“It is clear we have no desire to combat you — a Jedi is trained to avoid conflict as it will always be the last option. And a Jedi never gives up, so we will try every way we know how to pass your test. Tenacity and patience are our watchwords here.”

“So I expect it will only be a matter of time before we are successful, but then what, I wonder? What comes next?”

Matsu was listening to Sorel and there was a chance, she wasn't certain of it but walking around as the being was speaking she remained calm with interest. She was uncertain about a few of the things themselves. "Well that is a good question, usually many might not make it past this. Getting a chance so that they can come up. Others fall off of he tower climbing up or even here trying to attack." He was still moving around a little and sat down. "In truth, when you finish with this, you just need to drink it. That is the goal, the purpose." Matsu motioned for Sorel to come and join them as she sat down next to him at the small area on the ground. There was no attack, no malice and this wasn't about him hording it. More just making sure others can use it. "We don't really know what we need. Looking at the creatures we do not know what they want or what can be used to bargain with them. If this can help understanding them that is mainly why we stay here."

Sorel Crieff

Ready are you? What know you of ready?
Sorel was doing her best to distract without appearing to distract. But the tactic also bore fruit as she at least understood what the goal was. She wondered if drinking it was symbolic or if it had some effect on you.

As risky as it sounded, it was something she and Matsu would have to do. So she joined her Master and sat cross-legged on the ground. And she nodded at the wise words she spoke. Their intentions were entirely selfless. They sought no personal gain and simply wished to help the locals, ideally without harming the creature.
