Hurry Home (Dathomir; PM for invite)

I'm coming home.

Spencer had packed up [member="Ibaris Varanin-Jacobs"] and set her path back to Dathomir. The blonde woman never thought she'd enter the planet's atmosphere this soon – if anything she assumed it would be the moment her mother took her home for a burial...if that. The Peregrine set straight for the surface and it didn't take long for the small craft to land a distance away from the Singing Mountain Clan's territory. She had promised Ibaris a rancor for being a good girl and coming along with her Mama. Still, Spencer was unsure about how her child and she would be taken by the clan. Remembering being banished for her choices to dabble with the dark side, still despite it she didn't regret it. Walking from the cockpit, she scooped Ibaris up into her arms, the girl was wearing her terentatek onesie and it made Spencer laugh seeing the girl dressed up like the dangerous creature.

Holding the Force made Sith Chosen one, Spencer made her way out of the small craft and set the girl down on the soft ground of Dathomir. The feeling of the planet once more felt revitalizing, it filled a hole Spencer had felt within herself. Still, she was nervous about bringing Ibaris into the light sided clan. Spencer had made a shift back to the light, but the girl was created by Sorcerers on Tund hoping to emulate the Sith Chosen One. The thought made Spencer chuckle nervously, but it had to be done. She didn't need her Mother hunting her down hoping to meet her granddaughter.

“Ibaris, this is Dathomir. Its where Mama was born, uh we're going to find Rancors after you meet Nana and Mama's other family.” Spencer smiled nervously. “We'll find a surprise for Papa while we're here.”

She wasn't certain about what mama meant by 'other family'. If mama and papa had always been, but she had never met these people, didn't that make them strangers? Strangers couldn't be family right? But there was Uncle Aston... but that wasn't what mattered, here. She most definitely knew what a rancor was, and that was why she was here. She had been given the same 'when you're older' line about terentateks as she had about piloting the ship (which didn't seem fair!), but the promise of a rancor had completely shifted her attention. It was all she could think about. Never let it be said that the kid couldn't sustain her attention on something.

"You came from here and didn't get eaten?" Ibaris exclaimed, looking truly astonished. "Wowwwww."

With hazel eyes she looked about, taking in the landscape as far as she could see. It was foreign. To her memory she had never been anywhere that wasn't largely permacrete, durasteel and glasteel. That wasn't to say that nature itself was an unfamiliar concept, but that her contact with it outside of manicured parks and the like had thus far been minimal.

"Mama, I want down. Put me down... please?"

She had almost forgot that please. It was so hard sometimes to remember all the rules, especially when there were other things on her mind.

The scouts saw the ship descend. And like whispers of the leafs spread the news to the clan until one of the Elder approached Satara and whispered into her ear. A ship had come. The woman glanced at the young Witch she had been assisting, merely giving her: "Continue," before she left the crowd.

Nadie, her rancor was at the edge of the settlement with a few younger rancors when her head rose to her Witch. Satara didn't need to explain much as she rushed to her side. The large herd mother bent down to the ground, letting Ma'tra climb on to her back and the two traveled to where the scouts and had spotted the ship.

Soon, it came to view, along with the figure in front of them. It too a few more loud leaps from Nadie before Satara registered her daughter in the distance, with another smaller figure. The rancor knew as well, starting to slow down on her path so she could stop some feet before the arrivals, lowering herself instantly. "Spencer," Satara quickly spoke as she jumped down, rushing to her girl's side.

Gnarled fingers with dirt caked under nails would give a subtle twitch. From the depths of her hermits hut, the Shaman of Singing Mountain clan would murmur gibberish as glassy eyes akin to a dead fish would stare into the depths of the flames of her hearth.

The Winged Goddess and the Fanged God would whisper in her ear along with that of the Ancients. A storm would come, but to what effect... she could not quite yet discern.

In the distance, there was a flutter. Like a predator tilting there head to take a whiff of the scent, Kytarra would do as well, but through the Force.

A smile would curve across blackened teeth. Ahhh.

Spencer.

Spencer pondered about letting the wiggling five year old down. Ibaris did make a point, she did survive this planet for a good seven or so years – what was the harm? Setting the girl down, she looked up quickly, her mother had a knack for feeling things out and arriving at the precise point in time. A smile spread across her face, she hadn’t seen the woman in some time and the last conversation they had was through a letter. Though Spencer knew it wasn’t good enough for Satara, the woman believed in keeping family close, something that Spencer had relinquished when she was banished by her niece.

Grasping Ibaris’ hand before she could wander off too far, Spencer dragged the child along so she could finally meet her grandmother. Smiling awkwardly, she could sense that she had awoken another on the planet. Her creepy…older…sister…[member="Kytarra Hawk"] . They were both “blessed” by the Force, luckily for Spencer she didn’t inherit the crazy from Kytarra. Wondering if the woman would show her face, Spencer quickly covered her mind and Ibaris’. Looking towards her mother, she hugged her quickly and then presented the child.

“Mom, this is Ibaris. She’s Ashin and my child…Ibbie this is your grandmother –“ Spencer paused for a moment trying to think of an endearing nickname for Satara. Looking at the woman then back at her child she remembered one of the holofilms she had watched. “You can call her Nonna, Nana or Bubbie” Giving Satara an awkward smile, she knew the woman would have the child call her something in Dathomirian. “Ibbie tell uh Nana(?) your full name” She knew this would come up sooner or later – might as well make it now.

Down finally... ugh, only to be leashed by a hand belonging to [member="Spencer Jacobs"], a thing with which she knew better than to argue, most of the time. That didn't mean she had to like it, but there were greater things at stake, here! For a perfect example, a new pet that was doubtless contingent on her behaviour to some degree without it explicitly being said, nor was it a bribe attempt to guarantee a certain range of behaviour. No, rather that the girl knew better than most others her age how to attain what it was that she wanted, even though she was still prone to the odd fit... usually driven by tiredness or hunger. Most likely hunger. The girl had an appetite that put most teenagers to shame, and a sweet tooth that rivalled her mama's.

Presented to [member="Satara Hawk"], Ibaris first looked back at her mama, then looked at the woman, peering at her with an expression settled somewhere between flatness and distaste, as if trying to decide whether she was... well, something other than exactly what she was, or not. After a few moments of this, the five-year-old straightened up to her full height, and her right hand shot out, hanging there for the taking.

"Nice to meet you, um... Nana," she said with a rather guarded look on her face, "I'm Ibaris Varanin-Jacobs."

She glanced back at her mama again, then back to Satara, a big, cheesy smile pasted up on her face that didn't match up with the eyes that still came guarded and distrustful. Mama was being awkward. Mama was never awkward like this.

Satara did not let her thoughts wonder off to other guests to this party. The Witch knew her daughter [member="Kytarra Hawk"] was gifted, having experienced those very visions first but she did not dwell too long on them anymore. The Goddess had chosen her second daughter, it had become as normal to her as breathing after all this time. Though she imagined, for a family member, she would not be too far along.

Watching [member="Spencer Jacobs"] now, Satara took in the smaller figure her daughter put down now. A girl. Satara regarded the girl's blue hair and her closeness to the female beside her and it brought a smile to the Witch's face before she even approached them, Spencer giving her a quick hug she had aimed to give her daughter before introducing her to the young one. Ibaris, daughter of Spencer and Ashin. Ibbie. One blue, one green eyes came to the child now as Spencer tried to recall of a way she could be addressed. It was her fault probably, none of her children had grown up with a grandmother of any kind to refer to, it was no surprise. "Nona will do, hi'ja," she pointed out now, though her mismatched eyes never left the girl.

Since Spencer had brought up the name, it made Satara curious, watching delighted as the little one extended her hand out to her, introducing herself as Ibaris Varain-Jacobs. Satara merely chuckled as she knelt to the grass, offering her hand back. "And you're also Ibaris Hawk, little one. At least when you come see your Nona." Her children weren't actually Jacobs, it was a middle name left from their biological father's side of things, a trace of their paternal bloodline. Though here they were always Hawks.

"Shall we try for a hug now or later?" She offered, spreading both of her hands to her sides while she was still at Ibaris' eyesight.
