Hurikane Mining Corporation, or HMC for short, is a relatively small mining company which specializes in the extraction of rare gems and metals from underdeveloped and uncolonized worlds in Wild Space. At least, that's what it advertises itself to be. While most of the company is in fact dedicated to the aforementioned goals, a large amount of income and credit-grants from Mandal Hypernautics go to a secret weapons R&D division secretly based on the far-flung world of Hurikane.
RATIONALE
Mandal Hypernautics would acquire a previously unsuccessful mining corporation based out of Hurikane to use their facilities in wild space to extract Hurrikaine Crystals needed for weapons testing. Publically this acquisition was just to give Mandal Hypernautics access to the now renamed Hurikane Mining Corporation's mining expertise.
