DESCRIPTION
The Kyber crystals powering each blade are from Lothal, obtained after making a spontaneous but long journey there. It was there he met the loth-wolves, and with their help, he was led to the kyber crystals, and began to better understand his place in the Force. From there, he began his greatest hunt. Not for prey, but for an idea, a state of being, specifically. He was hunting for the ability to protect the ones he loved and the galaxy he called home, and the ability to help provide balance to both himself and the Force. This required the strength he was searching for, but also a deep understanding of both light and dark sides of the force.
Kudau forged his blades to be large enough to fit ergonomically in his claws, making the hilt a bit thicker and heftier than standard lightsabers, and making the ring heftier to keep the saber's proportions and balance. His novice understanding of lightsaber manufacturing means that his craftsmanship is straightforward and no-nonsense, though he has added artistic flourishes to symbolize his refined goals, and he has given a lot of thought as to how he will use them in combat. While the base components of the lightsaber remain unchanged, he has added loth-wolf bone encasing the saber, making the saber resistant to lightsaber strikes and blaster fire. He has also added magnetic rotators, allowing the blades to spin at very high speeds and stop on a dime. These maneuvers take lots of strength to control, making Kudau push himself at all times in combat.
Split Blade Design: The artistic design of each individual blade is fairly simple, but still deeply meaningful to Kudau. After folding their rings and splitting both sabers in half, the 4 blades are near-identical. Their hilts are made of straight bone, and on one side, their guards have a loth-wolf in running motion, teeth bared towards the blade. The other side has one quarter of a loth-wolf's set of teeth in each blade, making a full loth-wolf maw between the four of them. When the rings open, the insides of each blade guard have etching in basic along the ring's curve, different for each blade: 1) The strength of the pack is the wolf, 2) The strength of the wolf is the pack, 3) I am one with the force, and 4) The force is with me.
Note for Combat: When split like this, they are not the best to use in a trained hand, but they are much better used under force manipulation. On his home world, he enjoyed practicing to throw hunting knives with the force, and through training on Lothal, has learned how to wield a blade through the force. His style is more animalistic and less traditional, but with four blades, his offense and defense are certainly quantity over quality...
Double Bladed Spinning Design: When combined correctly, each half-ring will have two sides, each of these displaying one loth-wolf and one quarter of the loth-wolf teeth. There is a button to open the rings, and when pressed, the two wolves on each ring are on the same side, facing the direction of the sabers' rotation. Kudau usually performs a quick trick of tossing the saber after pressing the button, and catching it with the now-revealed text facing him. Saber A (blades 1 and 2) spins clockwise from Kudau's perspective, while Saber B (blades 3 and 4) spin counter-clockwise from Kudau's perspective.
Note for Combat: It takes a lot of practice, but proper control and knowledge of which saber is A and B offers different styles depending on which hand each blade is in. For example, if Saber A is in the left hand, rotating forehand swings will pack an extra punch, but changing to Saber B will empower a backhand strike.
