Intent: Creating an item that can store energy for later usage.
Development Thread: If needed.
Manufacturer: Darth Carach
Model: N/A
Affiliation: Personal
Modularity: Minor
Production: Limited
Material: Alchemized steel, Leviathan blister trap crystal
Description:

“Throughout history there have been many objects of ultimate power, items that could store untold quantities of energy and then send it lashing out to eviscerate, annihilate, evaporate or any other noun which signified dealing utter destruction onto something or someone.”

The Rings of Hunluan are by no means items of mass destruction and do not even possess said potential. Instead it’s a simple and efficient tool for a collective of Sith to store quantities of energy for later usage or perhaps even knowledge.

Of course this is not a passive Force Drain effect, the wielder needs to take the time to siphon off their own energy (or for example the energy of a prisoner) and store it into the ring. In a peaceful environment with few if any distractions one could accomplish this within minutes, but the more distractions there are (say on a battlefield) the more difficult it would be to focus and that would prolong the effort into hours at best.

Someone who is proficient enough in Drain Knowledge could also use the integrated blister trap crystal to store recently acquired knowledge from his victim.

Both the crystal as the ring are alchemized, which means that they are virtually invulnerable to any regular damage and even possess a resistance to lightsabers and lightning. Though that doesn’t really mean much, considering its worn around a finger.

OOC: Natural limits apply, the ring’s reserves are not endless. In fact, the most energy it could contain at one time would be the following. In a duel scenario one can expect to be slightly revitalized after a long duel, enough to maybe dish out two strong Force Pushes or equivalents. Again, someone proficient in Force Drain, Tutaminis, or any other Force technique that deals with the ebb and flow of energy will find that its usage of the ring is far more efficient, they might be able to push the boundaries just a little bit more.

Okay, this sub looks good! :)

There's just a few small details I'd like you to elaborate on, and then we should be good to go.

  • How long are we talking here? Minutes, hours? Also, does it depend on the skill of the wearer?
  • On a related note, what is the maximum amount of energy one could siphon off any target, and what sort of impact would that have on said target?

Tag me with answers and/or edits. :)

I want to make it clear that this is not a way to circumvent a characters getting cut off by the force. In some fantasy novels "Magic Wells" are ways of circumventing the effect of nullification. This does not accomplish that.

Remember that and the other limitations put on this.

Approved.
