Intent: To create a secure network for the First Order
Development Thread: N/A
Manufacturer: Panacea
Model: N/A
Affiliation: The First Order
Modularity: Yes, programming can be altered.
Production: Minor Production
Material: Memristor, Biocomm, Software
Strengths:
+Highly mobile infrastructure and a bevy of security features make Huginn hard to bring down by means of jamming, cyber warfare, or physical attacks.

Weaknesses:
-Bandwidth constraints and tight security measures limit the use of Huginn to trusted members of the First Order government.

Description:

Huginn is a private biocomm network created exclusively for use by First Order government officials and military and security personnel. Its creation was commissioned by the First Order military high command in order to create a reliable communication network in advance of full-scale war with the Galactic Alliance. The technology behind the quantum communication system intrigued high command because of the minimal infrastructure needed to operate a biocomm network, and its inherent resiliency to jamming and slicing.

The private network can be used for basic communication and information sharing via all known media formats. Hydra has been baked into the underlying management software for the network to facilitate the exchange of battlefield telemetry and intelligence in real time for commanders and analysts. Mithril security software was also included as an added layer of security on top of preexisting security measures built into the biocomm modules (physical encryption modules, quantum encryption keys).

Dedicated memristor-based server farms for Huginn are maintained across a flotilla of 12 Conyers-Class Science Frigates, set up in their hangar spaces. These server farms are maintained by technicians from Panacea. Keeping the server farms mobile prevents an easy attack by foes.

Huginn can be accessed by a series of purpose built biocomm receivers that can be connected to preexisting devices by means of an adapter, or fully integrated into machines or systems with modifications. Due to the sensitive nature of the information being passed along the network, most users face restrictions where they can access Huginn. Typically limited to access within the confines of a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) at a base or within a vessel. However, exceptions are made for ranking government officials such as the Grand Moff, military commanders, or operatives granted with special privileges like an FOSB agent or Ren Knight, who are allowed to access Huginn anywhere so long as they have the means for access.
