A shift in power and ownership within Corondex Arms prompted the Helix Syndicate to terminate their supply contract with the company. Something as important as the Syndicate’s armory could not be left to an unknown or unreliable variable. To replace Corondex, capital was invested in the establishment of Myton Defense on the planet of Jaemus. Just another simple arms manufacturer, although this one had the benefit of being securely in the pocket of the Helix Syndicate.
Shortly after its inception, Myton designed and launched the HSWS line of weapons, beginning with a release of energy weapons under the A0 series. As with all weapons in the A0 series, it has been optimized for use in conjunction with the Sagittarius-Class Targeting System. Those equipped with the Sagittarius will notice an increase in accuracy.
The A03 is designed for roundabout use in any given combat situation, although there seems to be an emphasis on battlefield viability. It is a tough, reliable weapon - easy to maintain and operate. One of its more noticeable drawbacks is its reduced ammunition capacity. Each shot carries a little more stopping power than what would normally be found, and so the power drain weighs more heavily on the currently inserted energy cell.

- [Strength] A03s are, essentially, the Syndicate’s ol’ reliable. Standard issue, dependably functional, surprisingly high effective range, suitable for all situations and then some. The A03 won’t let you down. Unless you want it to. In which case, did it really?
- [Weakness] A lot of energy is required to give the A03 the range and stopping power it has. Because of the amount of power drawn with each shot, the A03 features a lower ammunition capacity when compared to other rifles of its size and type.
