• Long range encrypted comms

Strengths:

 • Incredible arsenal: The HSW-3 is a “screw you and everyone in your zipcode” kind of tank. The tank is focused on maximizing damage output at any cost. The bristling weapons array makes the HSW-3 a great tank destroyer, bunker buster, anti-aircraft, and all around destructive machine. It’s best to deploy it and just let this walking fortress do its job.

 • Powerful armor: The HSW-3 is basically a walking fortress. It’s armor is made from the thickest, strongest stuff that RMIA could mobilize. It will easily soak up damage through its thick armor plates, its shielding, and its general design.

Weaknesses:

 • Firing arcs: All of the guns except the main one are forward facing. The main gun has a 360 firing option, but the main anti-infantry, the launch tube, and the anti-droid weapons are all forward mounted.

 • Ponderous: The HSW-3 is incredibly ponderous. It has a very slow turn speed, almost as slow as its forward advance. There aren’t many ships, speeders, or even people on crutches who couldn’t out run it. The HSW-3 could get out-juked by a Hutt, that’s how slow to turn it is. I think you get the basic idea.

 • Reload time: The HSW-3’s main gun has a lengthy reload time. Don’t expect to be dealing out turbolaser damage every second with the HSW-3. There is a five second reload time between rounds for the battery to recharge and for the coils to recover from the massive strain. Anything shorter than that is deadly--the HSW-3’s main gun will literally explode.

 • Crew: Unlike many walkers, the HSW-3 cannot operate its weaponry with a pilot alone. A gunner is needed for each gun, any guns without a capable gunner is inoperable.

Description:
The HSW-3 Annihilator is designed to do two things and only two things: 1) make your enemies beg for mercy; 2) Make your allies scream for joy. With concept alone, the Annihilator centers around these two thing.

Ardgal wanted to just see if he could strap a turbolaser on a ground unit, basically everything else came secondary after that. Obviously, when you strap a weapon of that magnitude on anything that isn’t a capital class ship, there are some complications. The first prototype was too top heavy and fell after the first four steps causing a few relatively minor injuries that you tend to get when 10 tons of durasteel fall on you (Sorry, Doug). The second prototype was built from sturdier material with a lighter scale--however the cooling wasn’t fully inducted into the heavy turbolaser. The Walker moved, it was working, it was working! At least…. Until we fired the turbolaser and the entire thing went up in a ball of flames.

After an extensive HR sponsored safety training video, Ardgal realized he needed to take direct control of this project. First, the bottom-heavy and slower design was implemented of the second design, and the cooling unit of the first were incorporated. It was kinda an obvious play but the combination gave the HSW-3 a set of pretty specific weaknesses.

First the walker was a lot slower than what was preferred. As in--its really slow. The HSW-3’s main power is diverted to its weaponry so it won’t be able to sprint worth a damn ever. Second, the main gun’s firing speed was greatly reduced. Each shot with the Turbo laser can only occur after a five second cooling period. That’d be fairly slow, especially since turbolasers on capital ships are by far faster than that. Third, the HSW-3’s firing arcs of its secondary guns are pretty much all forward pointing. The only weapon that has a full 360 approach to the field is the main--and slow firing--gun.

The HSW-3 was a great toy that Ardgal made, but he decided that he wanted it to be something special. Therefore, once it hit post production, he didn’t place it right on the market. Instead, he offered it to Zakuul’s Eternal Empire to use in combat and to offer to their allies as a goodwill gift.

All in all, it’s just a great heavy walker.

Love the unique weakness of the fact it only needs a pilot to run but it needs gunners to fire anything. Makes the sub a lot more interesting.

Just in cargo can you link the tank you are referring to?
