- Helmet electronics and HUD are protected by a miniaturized ionization buffer. This provides only token protection from EMP/Ion attacks. A direct hit with a heavy Ion blaster will almost certainly short it out regardless.
- Minor elemental protection is provided by the bodyglove, which is temperature controlled. This is meant to make Syndicate personnel more comfortable operating in arid or frigid environments. It will not offer any meaningful protection if hit with a flamethrower or a CryoBan grenade.
- [Strength] Armored smarter, not harder. Unlike the Assault variant, Stealth makes use of more advanced materials. This gives it the same and greater protection but cuts back on weight.
- [Strength] HSAS Stealth has a special slots for carrying a variety of additional HS equipment, making them easier to transport and utilize than would otherwise be possible.
- [Weakness] For armor intended to be used for rapid stealth operations, it is surprisingly cumbersome. This is only exacerbated the more equipment slots are occupied. Specialized training is required to effectively move about in the armor as a result, drastically limiting the amount of people capable of wearing it without falling over themselves while running.
When the Helix Syndicate starts sending out individuals equipped with HSAS Stealth, then you can rest assured they are no longer playing around. Certain combat operations warrant a more light handed response than others but are still of vital importance to the Syndicate. So for the fewest and most skilled of the Syndicate’s forces, they are allocated the highest quality armor the Syndicate has available.
Stealth consists of three layers: quantum fiber bodyglove, duraplast plating, and armorweave cloak. Optionally, there is a fourth layer in the form of a personal energy shield. The bodyglove is temperature controlled to keep wearers comfortable in hot and cold environments. Like the Assault variant, Quantum fiber is the sole material involved in the bodyglove, providing a significant degree of protection against energy based weapons. On top of the bodyglove is the armor plating itself, covering the arms, legs, and chest.
The duraplast involved is a more lightweight variant of that found in HSAS Assault, and considerably more expensive as a result.
Finally, Stealth armor comes with a stylish armorweave cloak. While this was mostly intended for protection against blasters and slugthrowers, it also provides moderate protection against vibroweapons and lightsabers. If expecting to enter a firefight, users typically choose to include a Paragon-Class Energy Shield in their armor. HSAS Stealth also comes with various slots and special carrying areas designated for the Syndicate's various personal devices, making them easier to carry and utilize than would otherwise be possible.
Aside from all that, the armor includes many other features which are considered staples of modern infantry armor. A suitably advanced heads up display features an assortment of vision settings and general sensors. Helmet comlinks are kept segregated to prevent remote tampering and also feature an encryption module to prevent easy eavesdropping. The helmet and bodyglove are, of course, capable of vacuum sealing in order to protect the user against deadly toxins and other environmental hazards. The armor features a large enough reserve supply of oxygen to last the user approximately an hour and thirty minutes. Air filtration is another feature included in the helmet.
HSAS Stealth was designed and produced by Myton Defense, but is most commonly seen employed by the Helix Syndicate. Force 32 are the most prolific users of the armor, although given their extensive cosmetic customizations it is often hard to tell. Regular variants will occasionally be utilized by the Helix Syndicate’s lieutenants as necessary.
