TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
  • Classification: Power Armor
  • Weight: Extreme
  • Resistances:
    Blasters: Very High
  • Kinetic: Very High
  • Lightsabers: Low
  • Ion/EMP: Average
  • Elemental: Average
  • Sonic: Low

SPECIAL FEATURES
  • Advanced Tactical Heads-Up-Display
  • HD Audio-Visual Recorder
  • Multi-Frequency Targeting and Acquisition System
  • Strength-Enhancing Servomotor System
  • Ionization Buffer System
  • Vacuum Sealing
  • Air Filtration
  • Segregated Comlink
  • Encryption Module
  • Paragon-Class Personal Energy Shield
  • A small network of Ionization buffers protects the vital points of the armor from abrupt deactivation through Ion attacks or EMPs. However, sustained attacks will inevitably overload the system and leave the armor vulnerable to further attacks.
  • Minor elemental protection is provided by the bodyglove, which is temperature controlled. This is meant to make Syndicate personnel more comfortable operating in arid or frigid environments. It will not offer any meaningful protection if hit with a flamethrower or a CryoBan grenade.
  • Average elemental protection is provided by some systems in the armor, which allows for moderate temperature control. This is meant to make sure that personnel wearing the armor are not burned to death in the event they enter a high-temperature environment that heats the armor up considerably.
  • Shoulder Mounted Grenade Launcher
  • Knuckle Plate Retractable Vibroblade
STRENGTHS & WEAKNESSES
  • [Strength] HSAS Power, in the right circumstances, can shrug off most attacks thrown at it. Grenades, slugthrowers, blaster rifles, E-Web, you name it. Thick, multi-layered, composite armor combined with a personal energy shield makes anyone wearing a suit a very tough nut to crack.
  • [Strength] A system of servomotors are incorporated into the armor. Given the sheer weight of the armor, this was a necessity in order to make it movable. But it does have the added benefit of granting its wearers hysterical strength far beyond the means of other humanoids.
  • [Weakness] HSAS Power requires highly specialized training to use, training that is often time consuming and prohibitively difficult. Coupled with the cost of producing each unit, this further limits how many of these suits can be actively used at any given time.
  • [Weakness] Knocking out power to the armor can create something of a disaster for the occupant. The suit will lock up, effectively trapping the wearer inside. This will necessitate a small team of technicians to either replace the power packs or to crack the trapped operator out another way.
  • [Weakness] It should go without saying that anyone wearing this armor will be moving at an almost unbearably slow speed. These units typically require field support in order to avoid being flanked or outmaneuvered.
DESCRIPTION

HSAS Power is unlike anything else in the Syndicate's armory in terms of sheer defensive capability. Certain Syndicate personnel are more frequently put into more dangerous battlefield situations than others. Whereas HSAS Assault can withstand token amounts of small arms fire from a few sources, HSAS Power is capable of withstanding heavy weapons fire from multiple sources and for prolonged periods of time. The power variant of the Helix Syndicate Armor System was made for the few individuals courageous enough to take point on the most dangerous battles the Helix Syndicate participates.

Assault consists of five loving layers: quantum fiber bodyglove, quadanium body, matrix armor plating, and personal shield. The bodyglove is temperature controlled to keep wearers comfortable in hot and cold environments. Due to the other four layers, the quantum fiber bodyglove rarely comes into play when in combat. It's merely there if the operator is forced to abandon the rest of the armor while still in a combat zone. The main body of the armor is composed of quadanium over a durasteel skeleton. Matrix Armor plating is attached to key areas, most notably the chest, arms, legs, and back. And, of course, there's the outermost layer: a Paragon-Class Personal Energy Shield.

They really went all out on this one.

HSAS Power also includes another string of features relevant to its status as power armor. A small network of servomotors serves to augment the strength of the wearer considerably, allowing them to perform otherwise impossible feats of strength. The armor also comes replete with offensive measures: retractable vibroblades in the gauntlets and a grenade launcher mounted on the right shoulder, thereby giving operators a means of attack at close and long range even if they happen to be disarmed. A small network of ionization buffers works to provide some moderate protection against Ion and EMP attacks, but these can easily be overwhelmed through sustained fire.

Aside from all that, the armor includes many other features which are considered staples of modern infantry armor. A suitably advanced heads up display features an assortment of vision settings and general sensors. Helmet comlinks are kept segregated to prevent remote tampering and also feature an encryption module to prevent easy eavesdropping. The helmet and bodyglove are, of course, capable of vacuum sealing in order to protect the user against deadly toxins and other environmental hazards. The armor features a large enough reserve supply of oxygen to last the user approximately an hour and thirty minutes. Air filtration is another feature included in the helmet.

HSAS Power is designed and produced by Myton Defense, but is most frequently seen in use by the Helix Syndicate. It is most commonly worn by a small amount of specially trained Shock Troopers or a handful of lieutenants. A single, custom tailored suit of HSAS Power was designed especially for Rahgot, a Mandallian Giant.

Two "extreme" ratings for defense, especially against the most common damage types, isn't something that is going to be doable with limited production. Extreme ratings, especially multiple extreme ratings, would probably be better suited for a unique, master-craft suit of armor. "Very High" for both of them is also probably pushing it given its currents strengths and weaknesses. Please lower the Blaster and Kinetic resistances to different ratings.
