Description: The HS-400 Bulk Freighter was conceived to provide a bulk freight transport to the galaxy. Each individual freight container can contain roughly 34,000 cubic meters of material. Fully loaded, this means these freighters can handle 544,000 cubic meters of material. These freighters require a limited crew, and have very limited space for crew and amenities. The front of the ship contains the command bridge, with seats for the Captain, Pilot, and Navigator. Also in the front section, are crew quarters able to accommodate 10 crew members, with a small galley, a small exercise room, a small med bay, and the primary airlock. Roughly amidships is the cargo control bridge, environmental engineering, and gunnery station. The gunnery station is only manned in the case that the automated defenses aren’t working well. Also in the amidships section is the secondary airlock, and the crew’s personal cargo lockers. At the aft of the ship is the engine room and secondary environmental engineering, beyond which are the engines. Connecting the three sections is a ‘spine’ large enough for three adult humans to move abreast. The spine also holds all of the control runs from the bridge to the engines, as well as inspection panels for each of the 16 cargo containers.
