Pierce the Heavens
Winds blew against the abandoned base, inside a small camp site had been set up. Fiore pulled a pot from the campfire and began to stir the meat and bean concoction about till it was mixed. The pot rested against the cold floor of the base center cooling enough to be eaten quickly. Steam rose around the pot as the woman changed clothing and into something a bit warmer. Pulling the hood up over her long brown hair, Fiore pulled the meat and beans towards her. A small spoon dipped into the brown mixture and she began to eat quickly, knowing that any smell of life would probably draw a Wampa out of its cave. The food was finished and Fiore cleaned the pot for another day, she shoved it into the case of other utensils and kicked the case into the tent like structure.
Being stuck on Hoth wasn’t her idea of a great time. The planet was cold and full of things that wanted to eat her, mostly wampas. She would rather fight an army of Jedi and Sith alone, than have to be near one of them. Though, they had a lot of meat on them and the one that had tried to kill her when she first arrived had provided enough food to last her a week. Her breath condensed as she snorted remembering she needed to get rid of the carcass that was going to soon start to rot and then draw out more of the man beasts towards her. She would hunt for one later, hopefully she wouldn’t need to eat it for another week. Heading towards the carcass and bones, Fiore set fire to the remains, a blaze kicked up and burned whatever was left over. She covered her mouth and nose with the hooded cloak and she stood near the flames to keep warm. A few moments passed and she headed back towards the center of the base and her encampment, gathering a few tools she picked up heavy guns and headed out towards the perch she had set up on the surface above.
Force users tended to flock here because of the history of this place. She remembered studying the battles of Hoth several times over while she was in classes in the Jedi Temple on Tython. The memories were painful as they were filled with the faces of Jedi she had grown up with and she knew one day, she would be killing them. It was her duty and at her core what she was created to do. Trask had done this to her, he had removed her from the Force and she would take the Force’s chosen from it. Slinging the heavy gun over her back, she climbed one of the tall ladders up towards the surface. There should be able to spot any one coming through the surface. She had wired the anti-air guns to a portable power source – they were useable, but only in quick bursts. They would provide damage to a craft as long as it was small.
A small radar was pulled out of her pack as she sat in the pit of one of the huge laser turrets. Fiore set it at her feet and watched it intently. The little device would be able to pick up anyone coming into the atmosphere, but only above her. She made a mental note to acquire one that had a larger range when she went back towards the Core worlds. Something started to ping on her radar and quickly the trained shot aimed the crosshairs upward. Narrowing her eyes, she waited till the craft flew into the place she needed. Once it moved into the center of the crosshairs, the gun opened fire tearing the through the atmosphere towards the invading craft.
