Hoth Has Many Things to Offer

Vash trudged through the deep snows of Hoth, twenty meters behind him on the only solid ground for miles sat a single Blackbird stealth fighter, it's black exterior already covered in a thick layer of snow. The Togruta was dressed with a large winter robe over his regular outfit, his mask still covering his face and head tails. He looked around through his visor, the red Heads-up display giving him markers of where he was going. There was a constant scowl on his red face as he moved towards the waypoint on the tiny map.

He hated the cold.

Still he had a mission to complete, something that he had been ordered to do my his Master as soon as he could. With bright determination Vash moved through the snow, until finally he reached a hump in the ice. He stopped for a few seconds, and then bent down, punching the compacted ice. He heard a thud, followed by a hollow ring. He smiled slightly, finally reaching where he had meant to. With one swift motion Vash pulled out his lightsaber and sliced into the ice.

Quickly he cut away the thick chunks of frozen water, until a heavy metal door was revealed below the ice. He smiled, and then knocked on the metal. Again a hollow sound rung out and he finally stood. A small electrical panel stood next to the door. With shaking fingers Vash took off his gloves, placing his hand onto the scanner.

The ancient device beeped slightly, and after a few seconds went to work. The scanner moved across Vash's hand, and then finally there was a loud clicking noise. Carefully Vash placed the glove back on his hand, and then used the force to pull open the heavy metal door.

With a quick drop Vash fell into the bunker below the metal door. He thudded onto the ground, and as soon as he did lights began to pop on. The old bunker came to life as Vash scanned the room. He smiled, and then wandered over to a nearby computer console, once again using the force to pull the metal door shut behind him. Vash wandered over to the console, checking over all the systems. He typed a single command prompt into the console.

//Recall Alert;Sent\\

As soon as Vash hit enter on the keyboard a signal was sent out, one only a specific communicator would be able to recieve. He smiled, and then wandered away from the computer, in search of the bunkers heating system.

Daritha flew through hyperspace in his large freighter wondering about. It was in this place and alone that he could take off the mask of being an eccentric pirate king and be the collected individual that he was behind the facade. Here, he was Daritha of the One Sith. Free to be who he was and meditate. Use the Force for simple tasks. With no one around he could meditate. He could peel away the layers of the Art of Small and exist in his truest form.

"Oh that's strange," Daritha said as a red light flashed.

A light flashed in the cockpit. As he walked into it he pushed the key with the Force. Instantly the message on it played and his eyes opened rather wide. "Now that is interesting," he said with a smirk as he moved to sit in the pilot's chair. He took a moment though and switched the course of his ship. He would go to Hoth immediately.

Elsewhere on Hoth a quest was beginning.

Two beings of fur trudged through the unforgiving snow of Hoth, one of them stood on four legs and was utilising his large tusks to clear a path for the other, a skinny girl covered in the pelts of several animals. Evelynn Dorn, all grown up and travelling the galaxy without her Master. Of course, the icy world was a peculiar choice of destination.

But she had a purpose.

The creatures that were found on Hoth were by far some of the most unique in the galaxy, you had to be to survive such a climate. If the days were this cold, she dreaded to think how the night would feel, hopefully the girl would be somewhere a little more sheltered before that happened.

With a powerful nose that doubled as a snow plough on her side, she wouldn't have to suffer the cold bite of Hoth for too long.

Of course, it had to be stated that the poor horned kath hound wasn't doing all the work, through their bond in the force Evelynn exuded warmth to the both of them. It wasn't a physical warmth, she wasn't performing some metaphysical fire voodoo but a warmth of spirit, of kindness, that bolstered their morale and kept their legs moving in the dire temperatures.

You're doing good Chomp, keep it up.

Vash sat inside the bunker, he had found the controls for the heat and also found several ration packs. He now calmly sat in place, viewing half a dozen computers screens at once. So far no one had answered his call, no reply to him, no message sent out in return, nothing. It seemed he would be waiting here for some time.

His orders were to greet anyone he could in person, and if he could not do that then to leave behind for others to find him. It was a simple task, and one that Vash did not mind doing seeming as how his last one had been exponentially more difficult. So he simply sat and waited for his fellow Sith, his cold dreary eyes watching computer screens for any sign of a ship.

Oh brothers where art thou.

Lounging lazily in the pilot's chair of a borrowed ship, Dovinus was growing restless. He hated ships for many reasons. The main one was that he was forced into a small confined space with very little to do or room to move around in. Although a majority of his trip had been shortened by hyperspace, he still had a while before reaching his destination; Hoth. Just thinking of the great ice ball made him yawn. The mirialan had never been fond of the cold, and frankly the planet struck him as dull. The only reason he was bothered to journey there was because rumors of a ancient sith holocron was hidden among the frost and snow of the planet. If he got that, he was bound to get a master.

Nearing the blueish sphere in the vast darkness of space, Dovinus scratched the back of his head and his eyes wondered over the controls with a amused look on his face until something caught his eye. A bright red light flashed on one of the usually blank panels, which could only mean one thing...

It was a distress signal, and a strong one at that, most likely from a outpost on Hoth.

A wide grin spread across Dovinus's green lips. Things suddenly got interesting.

He was going to be on Hoth an aweful long time, it couldn't hurt to go check out where it was coming from. Maybe it was a lost Jedi? or even another sith trying to hunt down the mirialan's prize? Suddenly shooting up Dovinus redirected his course to land at the spaceport nearest the distress beckon and typed in a hurried responce, barely suppressing boyish laughter. The holocron had been on Hoth for hundreds of years, he doubted it would go anywhere if Dovinus decided to have a little fun.

Some time passed before Daritha's freighter set down on Hoth. The computer systems would keep it running hot so as to not freeze over in the weather. The coordinates for the bunker were easy to pick up once correlated with the signal's strongest point and information within his database. The walk to it would not be long. Sadly any hangers with access to the bunker must have been frozen over because his codes to land were not working. Perhaps they lacked power and the bunker only had emergency power. That could explain the signal. Perhaps they required aid. All around, it was a mystery to Daritha.

He exited the ship bundled in gear for this climate. Regardless of whoever was supposed to be on the other end of the signal he decided to don a mask to keep his persona hidden. No reason for people to possibly see him acting as a Sith while wearing his public face. Trudging over the snow and ice he found an entrance into the bunker. Even with the new snow and ice he could tell it had been recently opened. Interesting, he mused.

With a push he moved into the bunker. His eyes scanned the surroundings. Power was on. This just curiouser and curiouser as time went on.

As Daritha entered the bunker he would hear an immediate snap and hiss followed by the bright glow of a dark red Lightsaber. Standing in the corner holding the lightsaber was the Togruta who had been making his home here for the last several hours. He had of course seen the approach of the ship, and had heard the door unlock when Daritha had scanned the pad, but unfortunately he could still not be sure so it was best to be weary.

Vash looked at the alien wearing a mask, and simply spoke words that any of his brethren would know. “Your mark. Show it to me.”

If the man was of his Order he would have it, if he did not he wouldn't and Vash simply had to kill him. Before the other man could even ask Vash used his left hand to pull away his sleeve, having partially undressed already in the heat of the bunker. He revealed a Tattoo on his upper arm, using the light of his saber to illuminate the mark.

Then he looked at the other man, clearly expecting the same.

Daritha shot a gaze at the individual holding a lightsaber. His hand had moved to his own lightsaber, but he did not ignite it because the figure made no direct aggressive move. His hand slowly released from the hilt of his lightsaber and left it hanging at his belt. For a moment he was thankful that it was his right arm that he had lost and not his left. Had it been the latter he would not have the mark upon it. The alien right hand made from vong technology pulled up the sleeve of his left arm. The higher he pulled it the more it revealed of the dark lines that almost seemed to move as they wound their way all the way up his arm.

All the tension that had gathered within Vash immediately left his body as he saw the black lines upon the other man's arms. All the concerns for battle, all the need to fight was gone. This man was one of his brothers, he was brought up in the Order like himself. There was no possible way to fake the mark, Vash had seen it all of his life. His body language shifted to a more relaxed stance, and he allowed his sleeve to drop back to cover his own mark.

With no fancy moves of any sort Vash flipped a switch on his saber, turning of the blade and taking a few steps forward. “Did you bring any others?”

It was a valid question. Many of the Order had been lost during the plague, either disconnected or completely wiped out. Some had even turned away from the tenants and completely abandoned their ways. Those would be dealt with soon, but for now he needed to know more about the man that stood before him.

"Nay, my enclave is entirely dead. We were cut off from the majority of the galaxy when the Hutts locked down their space. Slowly they were lost either from internal strife from a lack of connection to the Vision after our Voice passed. Disease also took many. My master and I were the last, but he informed me that I had surpassed him and named Daritha before he permitted me to cut him down."

Part of him was completely surprised that this conversation was even happening. He had longed to make contact again with his people. This was the first time that he had wondered how his story would sound to his brothers.

Vash nodded, so Daritha was from the sector of the Hutts. Unsurprisingly Vash knew a great deal about all of the sects of his Order. He had been taken and raised in the core worlds, the “prime” sector of the order and one that still lead and maintained everything. The Togruta walked closer to Daritha, eying him slightly but keeping a respectful distance.

Suddenly the younger male took a deep bow. “It is an honor. I am Vash Nazari. I have yet to surpass my Master, however our Lord has seen fit to send me into the galaxy for several reasons.”

Vash remained stoic as he raised himself back up to meet Daritha's gaze. For a few seconds he said nothing, simply observing the older man. If he was the only one left from his enclave it meant that literally dozens of Sith had met their end. This was not unheard of, several of the other Enclaves had faced the same fate, but it was grim news nonetheless.

“Chief among them is reconstituting the Order. The Vision comes again, brother.” Vash said the words almost ominously. It was a sign of things to come, of the mobilization of their Order. "You are one of the last. We are nearly whole again."

He nodded. This was pleasing news to the ears of Daritha. He had begun to feel as if the Order may not even exist anymore, or at least was so fractured that none were known to each other. To hear that they were beginning to reconnect the enclaves was joyous news indeed. "I look forward to hearing the Vision myself." Indeed, he had never heard it during his lifetime. The Voice had been dead well before his birth. "For too long I have been a wayfarer looking to make contact again to serve our Lord."

Vash was slightly shocked at the mans word, to think that he had never heard the true words of the vision. He imagined that his Master had in fact taught him, that he knew the plan, the goals, the ideals. Then again perhaps his master had never cast them in the right light. The Togruta put on a face of stoic determination, smiling behind his mask and placing a hand on Daritha's shoulder.

“He will wish to speak with you.” Vash was straightforward with his words, there was no reason to beat around the bush. “There are many plans, many plots, you will be brought back into the Order, back to us and brought up to speed on everything.”

The Togruta released the other mans shoulder and turned around. Quickly he began to gather his things. With Daritha now here it was time to go, time to get off Hoth and return to the core. He would have to bring Daritha back to their Lord, the two of them would need to speak. Suddenly a loud beep went off on one of the computers, a ship in coming that had somehow latched onto the signal.

Vash scowled. “Someone else is coming.”

Daritha's senses expanded at the word of someone else coming. Could it be another member of the order? Daritha watched and waited.
