Looking up from his food, his face seemed to go serious. The warrior didn't seem to know the number of battles Silas had gone through in his time as a Jedi. It wouldn't surprise him if it was way more than the average padawan "I've seen the horrors of battle, Shai. The battle of Typthon can explain itself..." the boy muttered. The operation was a bloodbath on both sides, even though they won it was unsure if the cost of lives was truly worth the destruction that was left behind.
Taking a bite of a chip this time, he looked to Shai once more with a slight grin on the corner of his lips "Our lightsaber is more than a weapon. It's a peacekeeper, a source of light... hope" he continued, his eyes looking straight into hers "I presume the same could be said for your armor, they are sacred like our lightsaber, correct?"
