The Jedi have watched the spread of the Dark Side for far too long.

[+] Lightsaber Combatant: Being a Jedi Master, it comes as no surprise that Hordon is a highly skilled lightsaber practitioner. While having training in all lightsaber forms, his mastery is focused on a select few forms that he is able to use against opponents to a very high degree.
[+] Eidetic Memory: Hordon has perfect memory recall. He is able to see, hear or otherwise witness sensations or scenes or people, and remember every detail with incredible accuracy. This particular genetic boon has resulted in most of his success as a Jedi, as he can memorize copious amounts of information available about a teachings, Force philosophy, as well as learn combat and other lessons rapidly through repetition.
[+] Strategic Commander: Hordon has a high aptitude for strategic planning and military command. With his focus on personal combat, Hordon has trained hard to achieve standards comparable to any military force across the galaxy, incorporating tactics, respect, drills, formations and maneuvers for both himself and those he commands.

[+/-] Unorthodox Tech: Hordon is a tech-savvy individual, able to use most modern forms of weaponry with very little learning curve. This allows him an advantage to other more traditional opponents, who rely wholly on lightsabers, artifacts or the Force, as they do not expect to face a shattergun or disruptor pistol from a Jedi. The danger of this methodology of using other weapons means that Hordon walks a fine line as a Jedi, as his fighting prowess is specifically aimed at defeating opponents - which can lead down a darker path, if not careful.
[+/-] Juyo: Hordon has all-but-mastered the less common lightsaber form VII, known as Juyo. And while the combat form allows for an almost overwhelming duelist to overcome an opponent, the mental and spiritual requirements are increasingly dangerous due to the draw of the dark side. Given Hordon's combat focus, his use of Juyo must be sparingly used, and only against the strongest and most skilled of opponents, lest he too willingly use the form and fall from the light.

[-] Traumatic Past: Hordon's history has been filled with loss and tragedy, the result being the death of his family with whom he had maintained contact with during his earlier training at the Jedi Academy. The loss has affected him deeply and despite his best efforts to overcome the emotional pain, it lingers.
[-] Pain Within: The more militant lifestyle has left Hordon scarred and mentally wounded, as he cannot help but relive past battles, duels with enemies, and see the faces of the men who have died under his command. It is not uncommon for Hordon to suffer nightmares, forcing him to often recenter himself and refocus through meditation, in order to repair his connection to the Force.
[-] Where's the Line: Even though Hordon cares about people, especially the men under his command, there is still no denying that the Jedi that will do whatever it takes to get the job done; especially if it means defeating the Sith or other followers of the Dark Side, the actions of which take a toll on the Jedi.
[-] Not Much of A Pilot: Given his skills in combat, something had to give, and as a result Hordon is an acceptable pilot. He is able to travel between locations under normal circumstances, but has absolutely no capacity for starfighter combat, especially against an opponent who is an ace pilot.
