Hopes Light (Open Training)

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist
The time had come... well not really and really at the same time. There was a power to the force and it often guided you to a place where you would need to go. She was learning about the danger that the darkside presented and with so many different groups now cropping up after Midvinter there was going to be a danger and a need that they would have to address. So the jedi master was standing there in the temple on Voss and the room itself had been altered to specifications. The synthweave pulsing and throughout the walls that were there. The solari and pontite made the room she was standing in more of a calming and lightsided effect.

With a look on her face while she stood there in the guardian robes the jedi master could feel a lot more from it. The energies coursing through her body, the force wrapping around her fingers and the power that came from the synthmesh itself. One fo the most protected materials in the galaxy that they had been used. it was a beacon of the lightside of the force for them to channel and use. She knew the danger and the attempt for some fo them might not work but as a means to protect from the sith this was an important thing. She would work to teach them how to channel their inner lightside fo the force into a better defensive weapon then just words.

Tempest basked in the sensations which emanated throughout the Temple. There are so many she has yet to define, which her previous Master never addressed. She quickly learned that each Jedi possesses a different type of skillset. Had she never been lead to come here to Voss, she never would have learned this. She never would have had an inkling that her natural gifts too, would be able to be built upon. She had a knack as a mentalist the non-force sensitives would say. It was something she honed in on, during the time when she was young and she stopped speaking after witnessing tragedy. So many skills to study! Some she may master for sure, others not so much. But they say her niche will come to her.

To meditate on the light was not something she found come easily. Her whole life changed recently, as her master fell ill with the plague. He continued to hold onto life as if blessed with a miracle, although never actually improving. She often hoped he would soon die, yet also did not know how she would go on, and remained relieved that he did not. She felt a tad out of place here among the mass of Jedi, yet welcomed with open arms. She knew it won't last forever, her current feelings. Naturally she felt drawn to the comfort of the light of the force, whenever it was presented. She studied about how there is more to it, before she attended the classroom, how the light can be so powerful that a darkside attacker might lose focus and falter. The idea intrigues her.

Tempest entered the class quietly, bowing to the instructor wether or not she was noticed. She felt the force flowing around the room and tried to clear her mind so she could better experience it.

Matsu was stretching herself out, allowing the force to resonate around the room as she could feel the energy itself coming here... everywhere that she wanted to e able ot use it. Every pore of her body was practically there until she looked over at a number of other parts. There was a padawan who came into the room so that she could teach someone at least. This was a skill you wanted to be able to use and have as a jedi.. so it was best to learn it as a padawan. "Welcome padawan." The jedi master said it and turning around in the silver guardian robes they resonated and were a beacon in the force that she would e able to wear and test out. For the padawans and the others though the jedi master had prepared for more of it. "We'll wait to see if others show up but I have not seen you around the temple. I am Master Matsu Ike."

Not quite dressed in the proper attire for a lesson at the temple, Aster's heels clicked in rhythm as she made her way down the corridor and in the direction where the lesson was to take place. Dressed in loose blouse tucked into a long pair of matching skorts, the blonde teenager quickened her pace as the room came into sight and made her way towards it, stopping at the door to take a deep breath before she entered.

Already waiting inside the room was a woman with long black hair who she assumed was the instructor from the way she conducted herself and a fellow padawan. Not quite familiar with the social graces of the Jedi, Aster acknowledged the woman with a graceful nod of her head and stood near the padawan who was also a blonde like herself.

Filled with anxiety at her new situation, Aster did not initiate conversation with her fellow padawan and stood a little awkwardly as she waited for the lesson to begin. Everything on Voss was so foreign to her - it was all so disorientating.

More out of curiosity than a need, Arisa had decided to the class about Force Light. Through the aid of Force-imbued items over time, she had learned how to channel it on her own by homing in on the signature, but her technique was still rather raw at best. Ideally, she wanted to rise to the mastery level of noted practitioners like Nomi Sunrider, able to precisely direct the energy like a beam. That would be a great addition to the Watchman's bag of tricks as she became more proactive against the Sith.

As per usual with these kinds of gatherings, she was fashionably late to proceedings, arriving on the heels of Ms Baelor with her friend and apprentice Kayda in tow. The class taught by Matsu may have been of some more benefit to her apprentice who was still very much a novice in all aspects of the Jedi way of life.

Upon entry, she couldn't help take notice of Matsu at the center of the room, overflowing with Force energy. Perceiving the Force was a funny thing for Arisa. While she couldn't exactly see auras in the traditional sense of the word, she could view them like something of an overlay over the physical plane. Each Force Sensitive around her swirled with such auras.

"Good morning, everyone," she greeted with a smile, hands clasped behind her back. In contrast to Matsu or
Kayda, she was dressed casually in street clothes, much more comfortable for the urbanite who had never been too fond of robes.

Kayda followed closely behind his Master. Trying his hardest to seem civilized in front of all the older people in the room. The boy was hoping to make a good impression. Having no real knowledge about the force yet, Kayda assumed this class wasn't going to help him much. Nonetheless his Master still wanted him there along with her --The boy much rather be spending his time tinkering with parts-- to learn about Force Light. Upon entering he didn't really notice anyone he had already been acquainted with.

“ It's nice to meet you all, I'll be quietly watching today's lecture alongside my master, Arisa. “

Saying this and nothing more, Kayda wasn't going to speak out unless asked to. He was a well mannered boy when it came to respecting elders, and those of higher position.

Noting a surprising alluring woman across the room. Kayda felt oddly drawn to her, as if he were unable to look away. The young woman by the name of Aster had caught his attention. Unconsciously, the young boy happened to be staring at her. Which might have caused a scene if anyone noticed. To make the matters worse, the young Padawan mumbled under his voice.

“ Wow… “

Hmm she was looking at the others who came in and raised her eyebrow seeing some of them but it was all fine. Matsu stood there with her hands in front of herself as she had a small tight grin on her face to getting to better check out everything. "Welcome padawans and knight, should be an interesting class that we will be able to teach here." She clasped her hands behind her back at the small of it while she was walking around. Looking towards the padawan who had spoke about just observing with a raised eyebrow. "As for you, if you just want to observe and not learn that is fine I suppose. THis is something all jedi should make sure they know to protect themselves."

There was a little more as she looked towards Aster and Tempest both with a bow of her head. "A welcome to two of the orders newest padawans and I am glad both of you are here to learn. There are somethings you might e able to learn if you do not have masters yet." She didn't know if or who their masters might be. Should they have them but that was fine, a little practice and early lessons would allow them to properly channel the force itself here. Matsu was watching where they were standing around. "Find a position you can be and space yourself out here. We are going o need to move and you will have to be able to properly channel and pull in the force for yourself."

Matsu motioned for them without going into the formal of asking all of their names. She tapped the one sphere that appeared from the hardlight projector in the room. The room itself changing now as her hands came out focusing the force to pull at and generate using the world itself compared to just he rown power. THe aura changing when she channeled the white whisps outwards from her hands into the synthweave of the walls and let the solari crystals with the pontite make the room warmer with a sense of calmness. Stillness in her mind until she had it all aglow in the force itself. "There we go, that should be better to work with and we'll just adjust this." Matsu ran a hand over the holographic orb.

"Somewhere calming, ah the mountains of Shri-Tal." She waited for a moment while the hardlight around was shifting for the room to become somethingdifferent. The images and room changing to be a holographic suite overlooking the mountains themselves. Snow capped all around and from the mountains the massive valley with the forest itself, where on the world spirits of children infested the forest seeking out and tearing to shreds force users. It was a dangerous place but the mountain temple that overlooked it was a peaceful place you could stand and meditate. She had often been workig to teach her students there like Sorel who was a skilled student until they were moving now.

"The technique of force light is something all jedi should know but only a handful might be able to master. It was considered rare for a time but half of that was from its minimal use against darksiders. In the wrong hands it could be used to sever them from the force, seal it away and harm them. With people, with creatures.... that should sometimes be the only last recommendation." She said it while standing there. "But channeling the lightside of the force, channeling the force in general as you could see is important to what the jedi can do. The capability to generate energies from the worlds you are on and the universe itself means you can reach levels others cannot."

The small look she had while staying there though was of interest. With a little more she brought her hand up and used it to make the pale skin glow revealing the small scars that appeared white with the gold light. A few shades darker and there were tattoo's on her hands, her skin in the robes glowing before the jedi directed and sent it towards the wall in a burst of energy. "Force light is about channeling the force into yourself, channeling your inner light and then sending it out in a blast. Only a few had the power to truely direct and focus it but on the normal uses it will be more then enough power to repel the darkside of the force. With enough skill you might reach heights few others had done before."

Tempest introduced herself to the Master at her request, and nodded to the others respectively as they had entered. She smiled at the Instructor when she welcomed Tempest to the Order. She nodded in reply to the Instructor's mention of wether she has a Master to train her. "Thank you. Yes, Mistress," she replied, not mentioning it is Master Syn, unless requested of her to inform.

She took her position. At the opening of the lesson Tempest had never seen nor heard of a holographic orb. She felt disoriented for a moment as everything visual about the room altered, but she quickly recovered her equilibrium. Instead of marvel at the illuminations, she closed her eyes and returned to her inner focus.

She listened to the Instructor speak about the objective of the lesson. When the Instructor had finished her delivery, Tempest opened her eyes again, raised and wriggled a finger, and when she was permitted she inquired, "Pardon me, Mistress. Does this feat cause physical exhaustion?" curious as to wether or not its usage ought be sparingly.

Kayda himself was slightly startled by the sudden change in their surroundings. Scanning the area around him, to fully understand where they had relocated to. Once the boy had settled down, he began to listen closely to the instructor's words. It seemed that what they were learning today was not an easy task, but Kayda was determined to learn it nonetheless. The teacher herself seemed very patient and slow as she explained how Force Light worked. The young Padawan appreciated this, and he would be able to follow her more easily.

From time to time, Kayda turned his attention back to his own Master. Simply to acknowledge her as they learned together. The Padawan had a strong connection with the Force, but was unable to tap into it. This only being because his Master had yet to educate him thoroughly about the Force and all it had to offer. Still Kayda felt as if he could manage this task if he focused hard enough. From what the Instructor said, it would be necessary for him to learn it if he ever wished to become a Knight.

Kayda analyzed how the woman performed the technique, noticing how she drew in the force channeling it through her body. The Padawan simply stood with his hands behind his back. Waiting to see if the Instructor would answer the other Padawan’s question, as he shared the same curiosity.

Not quite comfortable around the opposite sex, Aster paid little mind to the boy that seemed to have been admiring her and stood quietly as the instructor began the lesson. Though she tried not to show it and put on a brave face, her kidnapping at the hands of the Chiss terrorists had left invisible scars that affected her deeply, making her uncomfortable around unfamiliar males.

"Thank you," Aster replied, returning the instructor's bow then, following the woman's instructions, found a space away from the others and introduced herself. "Hello, I am Aster Rose Bae-," she began before catching and correcting herself. "Er, Aster Rose."

Unaccustomed to introducing herself as just Aster Rose as she had been instructed by her security detail, the blonde let out a small sigh as the room shifted in its appearance from classroom to mountains and watched with much interest when the instructor demonstrated and explained the technique. The Jedi seemed to be full of curiosities.

Matsu was looking at them and they seemed to get it the one asking a question as Matsu stood there. "It can be padawan if you do not train yourself. A jedi should learn ut also make sure you work on your endurance and ability to channel the force. it is often neglected in favor of just learning how to do something. Rarely I have seen outside of my family and padawans the work go into trying to prefect and master a skill." She said it while moving around now and here she could bring her hand out for them. "Now the first part is to focus on yourself. Quiet your mind, allow yourself to feel the force around you and within you. Then focus on channeling it into yourself."

Arisa let out a small huff in amusement as she felt Kayda zero in right on the Ms. Baelor upon their entrance into the room. A pretty princess, who could resist? Funny times these were, as she now found herself within spitting distance of the relative of a man she had once faced on opposing sides of war. Ms. Baelor seemed like someone she could get along with, but for that reason, she had kept a professional distance.

Before spreading out as instructed by Master Ike, she would take Kayda aside to speak with him in private.

"I only wanted you to sit back and observe today. For now, your objective will be to focus on the signature of the Light Force energy as we generate it, then remember the feeling for our personal training later."

Individually, channelling the Light spectrum of the Force could be very taxing. Unlike the Dark Side, which was easily drawn upon by emotions, the Light Side required a clarity of mind and much concentration. Meanwhile, Kayda still struggled with basic telekinesis and telepathy as an initiate, which was why she had only had planned on him passively observing proceedings.

After separating from
Kayda to take her position, she was caught off guard by the sudden change of scenery which left her somewhat discombobulated from the overload to her senses. Her eyes watered as she refocused, not prepared for Matsu's theatrics in her lax state.

"Ah, Master Ike," Arisa interrupted after regaining her bearings. "I have to ask, how far do you intend to take this class today?"

Tempest listened to the instructors answer to the question. 'Hmm..'

She rendered her stance into a comfortable position and already feeling relaxed, closed her eyes, lowering her gaze next. Her arms at her sides, she spread her fingers wide, first feeling the Light of the Force surrounding her, the others, the boundary of the room, and with further surrender to the Force, out into the grounds, the sky...

Her lips parted as she breathed in the Force, feeling like she was not an individual anylonger, but existing through it. The Force around her was like a mist, bright, and with form. That form is everywhere. She tipped into the mist, and droplets adhered to her fingertips. She collected those droplets into her palm. Again and again, Tempest compacted the Force into her palm, and willed it to enter her body. She felt lighter than air, like a part of the Force which surrounded her. She felt the magic of it.

Obeying the instructor's instructions, Aster closed her eyes and cleared herself of all thoughts and emotions and searched within herself. Inhaling a deep breath, the teenager concentrated on the gentle current like sensation spread throughout her body, attempting to harness it and become one with the Force. With each breath, she inhaled and exhaled, her body felt as if it began to lighten and fade until only her consciousness remained.

Another few deep breaths later, Aster felt a curious warmth inside of her. Not quite familiar with getting in touch with the Force having only experienced it once with her Master - Sorel, focused her concentration on this warmth, nurturing it in hopes that it may evolve and grow.

Watching them as she moved around quietly and allowed the force to settle. Not really doing much when she could see some parts of it here. She moved witht he force in some areas to just make small adjustments to the padawans nothing to much but they looked peaceful now and seemed to be allowing the force to be channeled through their bodies. "Very good work." She could see more of it where they were working now when Arisa spoke and took out of some of the concentration and time. "As long as it takes, no padawan should be rushed in their learning. It is how I trained Sorel to understand the force and many others." She waited there and spoke. "Now once your focus and your aura are steady and you can feel the force allow it to enter every fiber of your being, let it seek out and bring the lightside of the force to the surface so you can use it and send it outwards. Against those who serve the darkside, against sithspawn this can be strong. Against another lightsider it will not be harmful."

"That's not what I was asking," Arisa replied. "My question is how in depth will you be getting with this lesson today? Apologies for the confusion."

With that, she tapped into the waves of Force Light being output by Matsu with the aid of her Force Imbued items. She felt like she was basking under the glow of a noon sun as she took the energy inside of herself and let it cycle through her system. The slight agitation she had experienced from being literally blindsided earlier disappeared as she became in tune with the Light Side of the Force.

Now, she would begin to tap directly into the great infinite well of Force instead of feeding off the residual energy swirling about the room. She felt a pleasant buzz of power that would leave her tingling in sweet bliss. For a time, thoughts of her burdens as Jedi and soldier were forgotten.

Tempest felt the Force radiating as she drew it internal. It was an odd feeling. Typically the Force is focussed and assigned a job, tied to assist a purpose. Here, it felt raw, tingly, like an electric charge. Tempest found it marvelous!

At some point however, there was no more containing it. It wasn't a bad feeling at all, just impossible to continue drawing inward for her. It poured out on its own. 'How shall I control it however?' she wondered.

"How shall it be focussed outward, Mistress?" she inquired, uncertain as to how it ought be released. "Slowly? Quickly?"

Her eyes still closed, Aster obeyed the instructor's instructions and continued to focus on her Force aura until it filled her completely and drew the light within her to the surface. Warmth radiated within her hands as she slowly focused the light from her body into her palms - a task that required her full concentration.

Temporarily deaf to the world as she channelled the light into her palms, she continued to inhale and exhale deeply. Still new to the use of the Force, Aster began to feel some of her strength flow out of her as the light side of the Force gathered and pooled in her palm. It was a pleasant yet strange sensation.

Matsu was watching them there, they had the look of someone who was calm and collected. Ready to release and use the lightside of the force as a way to protect themselves if they required it. THe technique should easily go a long way before Matsu walked around between the two of them and the others that were being quiet but it allowed the jedi master a chance to make sure they had everything going well here. "Very good, now slowly release it from your core and send it out of your hands. Direct it towards the walls." She could stick with it and they were showing the promise so she would be ready for anything.

Obeying the instructor, Aster slowly pushed her palms forward, propelling the warmth that had gathered in her hands at a nearby wall. Still new to the use of the Force, the Force Light she had sent towards the wall was a rather feeble one. Though her attempt might have been quite a pitiful sight to those skilled in technique, she was proud of it pleased that she was able to shape the Force as she had desired.

"Have I performed it correctly?" she asked, glancing at the instructor, feeling a little tired from her attempt. Lacking experience in harnessing the Force, Aster had limited stamina when wielding it. "What can I do to improve my attempt?" she continued. She wanted – no, needed to improve so that she may be an asset to her those around her and more importantly, her people. It was her duty as their princess after all.
